Minnesota Man Obtains Commercial License to Drive Truck

Posted by Tina

We seem to be overrun by absurdities of late. This story fits the bill but could wind up being deadly serious.

What’s so absurd about a man getting a truckers license? Connect the dots, to borrow a phrase of significance:

Amir Meshal was kicked out his Bloomington mosque after he was caught promoting radical Islam.

Amir Meshal attended a terrorist training camp in Africa.

But that’s not all, folks!

Meshal, a terrorist suspect, was also placed on the Homeland Security “No Fly” list. But since this country is now “America the Tolerant,” who cares?

By the by, his tuition for driving school, 4K, was paid for by taxpayers in the state of Minnesota.

This could be a serious mistake. A lot of explosives could be packed into a big semi…just sayin’.

Years ago, maybe a couple years after 9/11, we had a case like this in Northern CA. Homeland Security came to the legislative office I worked at to brief us on an individual who had been to terrorist training camps, had paid an American woman a lot of cash to marry him for his visa, and had sought out training as a crop dusting pilot upon arrival. A lot of indicators added up and they decided to detain him. Should have been end of story.
But the local weekly liberal paper in Chico took up the guy’s cause. Made HS and any one else in law enforcement out to be jack-booted thugs. It wasn’t a pretty scene. I realize that Americans citizens have rights, but someone who has been to terrorist training and was even booted from a mosque for extremist views should be at the very least be watched VERY closely. There has to be common sense in defense of our country or we’re going to end up with another 9/11.

Steve I agree. When war has been declared on our country, and it has, we must operate on a war footing. I would think that a guy with this background would be restricted from certain activities for the duration. If he’s on the No Fly list certainly being a truck driver, with a big advantage to do great harm, would be one of the restrictions. I don’t particularly like the idea but I also don’t like the thought of our citizens being blown to pieces either.
