What a Miserable Man: Boehner Channels Trump to Slam Ted Cruz

Posted by Tina

Ex-Speaker of the House John Boehner spoke to a group at Stanford on Wednesday and took the occasion to take a shot at Ted Cruz saying that Cruz is: “Lucifer in the flesh” and a “miserable son of a bitch… I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”

Cruz responded on twitter: “Tell me again who will stand up to Washington? Trump, who’s Boehner’s ‘texting and golfing buddy,’ or Carly and me?”

Cruz also pointed out that he hadn’t spent enough time with Boehner to say he “worked with” the fallen speaker and that when they did cross paths in Congress he always greeted him graciously.

John Boehner has some nerve! This is a man that lost his job for bending over backwards to “work with” Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. Boehner is a man that failed to stand up for republican ideals. So who’s the truly evil guy in the picture? In my estimation it’s the coward who refused to defund the Pelosi/Reid ACA to strike a meaningful blow for the American people. Cruz took that political risk because it was the right thing to do. Republicans won the House because they promised to get rid of Obamacare. Cruz would show the same courage and take the same political risks as president. Not sure Mr. Trump would.

UPDATE: Just found out the two worked together before Cruz came to Congress when Cruz served Boehner as his attorney:

“Ted Cruz used to be my attorney a long time ago. A good guy. I don’t always agree with him, but he’s a good guy,” Boehner told Jay Leno Thursday on NBC’s “The Tonight Show.” …

…The year was 1998. Shania Twain and Savage Garden were all the rage. Boehner was House Republican Conference chairman. He had decided to sue Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) for allegedly violating wiretapping laws.

At issue was a recorded phone conversation in 1996 involving Boehner and then-Speaker Newt Gingrich, among others. A Florida couple intercepted the call on a police scanner. The couple gave a recording of the call to McDermott, then the top Democrat on the Ethics Committee. (Gingrich was facing ethics sanctions.) McDermott shared it with the New York Times. And, well, Boehner wasn’t happy.

The couple ended up pleading guilty and paying a fine of $500.00 each.

Boehner is correct. As I have said many times DC does not like Ted Cruz. Cruz is not who you think he is.

Also his VP pick? Failed CEO?

Cruz has support from a network of superpacs. He is beholden to them. His wife is on leave but is A Goldman Sachs person. He is the establishment as well.

Welcome to the rigged elections. This country has become the very thing our founders tried so hard to protect us from. If Cruz won it will insure those of us who are anti Hillary would vote for her to save us from Cruz.

I’ve never liked Boehner, but I’m surprised to see him embrace Trump and his tactics. There are certain things a man of his power and prestige shouldn’t say. *I* can call Cruz a miserable son of a bitch because I’m just a private citizen venting, but it’s classless for our other elected officials (and former elected officials) to do the same in public.

All those Americans have no right to live, eh Dewey?

    What a hater you are.

It’s a LIE that “DC” doesn’t like TED.

    TEd Cruz Congressional Endorsements:

    Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK)
    Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC)
    Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX)
    Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI)
    Rep. Raul Labrador (R-ID)
    Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC)
    Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO)
    Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS)
    Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA)
    Rep. Mark Sanford (R-SC)
    Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX)
    Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL)
    Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ)
    Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA)

    Rep. John Culberson (R-TX)
    Rep. Sam Graves (R-MO)

Conservative Review determined that the average Liberty Score for Cruz’s Congressional endorsements is 83 percent.

Even then, there are some senators who like Cruz personally even if they haven’t endorsed him. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), for instance, is a good friend of Cruz, although he hasn’t endorsed Cruz because Lee is also friends with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL). Lee told U.S. News and World Report that “it simply isn’t true” that Cruz doesn’t have any friends in D.C.

“He’s a great guy,” Lee said. “I consider him not only a political ally, I consider him a close personal friend.”

Even though Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has endorsed Trump, he still thinks highly of Cruz.

“I like Ted and I think he has a lot of friends in the Senate,” Sessions told U.S. News and World Report.

Cruz may have irked a number of his Senate colleagues for standing up against the rise of big government, but Cruz is more well-liked than his opponents would have you believe.

Bernie has support from a “network of superpacs”…I posted them for you, remember?

    It’s politics…get over it….and stop the hate!

Must hear Mike Lee, who has a 100% conservative rating with Real Clear Politics, respond to Boehner’s remarks.

Trump just paid his membership dues to join the GOP Establishment Club.

Trump gives $100K to Boehner PAC:

“Donald Trump cut a $100,000 check to the Republican super PAC linked to House Speaker John Boehner, POLITICO has learned.

The Congressional Leadership Fund, which recently announced it would spend $13.5 million on House races before Election Day, will report the Trump check with the Federal Election Commission later Monday.

The fund raised $1.14 million in the third quarter of 2012 and has just under $6 million in the bank. An official with knowledge of CLF’s finances told PI to expect “millions more” when the super PAC files its pre-general election report on Oct. 25.”

So Trump paid Boehner to slime Ted?

I’ll be happy when this travesty is concluded.

I’m still voting Cruz in the primaries.
