Federal Judge Slams Obama Administration and DOJ in Executive Amnesty Program Case

Posted by Tina

The President has made a reputation for himself for blowing off Congress in order to have his way. In fact I remember him bragging about it several times and complaining that Congress wouldn’t act. The problem with his excuse that Republicans in Congress wouldn’t pass “a darn bill” is that he and the Democrats has 2 years of super majority power to pass an amnesty bill and they chose not to address the issue. The other problem with his excuse is that as the leader of the nation its his job to work with Congress to get something done, not stand in the corner pouting and pointing fingers like a two year old.

Since Obama failed to direct an amnesty bill through Congress he chose to act alone and was soon challenged in the courts. State governors didn’t appreciate the president issuing decrees like a dictator. The actions in question are: The HHS directed Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (“DAPA”) program and an amendment to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Today district judge Andrew Hanon slammed the DOJ for going behind the courts back and lying to the court and in so doing unlawfully managed to grant resident status to 100,000 people living in the United States illegally. Judge Hanon lowered the boom: “Such conduct is certainly not worthy of any department whose name includes the word “Justice.” Suffice it to say, the citizens of all fifty states, their counsel, the affected aliens and the judiciary all deserve better.”

According to David French at National Review the penalties, though harsh, were not as harsh as the judge might have preferred:

In response, the court ordered the DOJ to provide lists of each affected illegal alien in each of the plaintiff states, required each DOJ attorney who practices in each of the plaintiff states to take additional legal ethics courses for a period of five years, and ordered the Attorney General to produce a comprehensive plan for ensuring that similar misconduct will not occur in the future. The court did not have the power to disbar the individual lawyers who made the misrepresentations, but it did revoke their permission to appear in the case.

Obama and his rogue czars and underlings…some Constitutional lawyer! These are his “fine people.” And what about that leadership ability, sterling huh?

What was it someone said in comments today about character and leadership qualities in the Republican presidential candidate?

Any chance the same will weigh in as negatively regarding the President and the many ways he’s mucked things up and then (in the video) spoken like a petulant child?

The judge’s “Intentionally deceptive” are words that describe the entire Obumble admin from day one. Transparency never had a chance.
And the only problem with Judge Hanen’s instructions is that nobody in the entire Obumble admin has any idea what the word “ethics” means! The Dept of Jerks needs a good housecleaning, starting right at the top.

Thankfully we have precedence for cleaning them all out. The Clinton’s did that to “get their own people” in there just as they did with Billy Dale and the travel office.

    LOL

They are all corrupt and bought out including judges.

Do you realize it is all a bunch of crap? Under Obama the raids for deportation have increased, are brutal, and we are at net zero illegal immigration.
