Rule of Law: Madoff victims Close to Receiving Justice and Recovery

The pot is $4 Billion for the 25,000 victims of Bernie Madoff and his power money ponsi scheme. It’s been a seven and a half year wait that’s not quite over yet. The wheels of justice turn slowly but they do turn. Read the full story with additional payout information at the New York Post

Now, If we could just induce the good citizens of America to adopt higher social standards in America those wheels might just turn a little faster and become less necessary.

When we are willing to make excuses for the least of us (Disinterested and drug addicted panhandlers and homeless) we can’t expect better fom anyone, even those of much of greater means. Moral codes matter. They must be woven within the whole fabric if they are to work. Some time in the late fifties our moral codes began to break down and we are living with the result, whether an irresponsible bum, retail employees committing theft, White collar criminals, or a president who continuously and defiantly defies the constitution and the rule of law…moral codes matter. They are the glue that supports the rule of law and our freedoms.

  1. Dewster says:

Moral Codes? Like Equality and Justice for all?

And curious name the ways this President has defied the Constitution?

Congress would take the cake on that one

  3. Pie Guevara says:

Moral codes do not matter to such a Dewey.

  4. Tina says:

You would think Dewey would be celebrating the recovery of money for the people who were victims of Madoff’s scheme. Instead, he goes off (cynically) on moral codes.

And that’s “freedom” and justice for all, Dewey. Equality as you lefties see it is equality of outcome. We don’t do that in America.
