Well, well, well, government goes after banks for allegedly making loans to unqualified buyers (the banks say they were coerced into it by the government) and then when the fine money comes in, who does the government give it to? Not you bunky. They give it to the worst possible people!
Excerpted from the American Thinker: “Among the political activist groups favored favored by the settlements is La Raza, the nation’s largest Hispanic activist organization that routinely supports Democratic candidates and causes. Cecilia Munoz, a La Raza senior vice president, was appointed by Obama in 2012 to head the White House Domestic Policy Council.
La Raza is flush with money, reporting in 2013 to the IRS assets of $55 million. Janet Murguia, the group’s president and CEO was paid $417,000 that year, according to the group’s IRS tax return. Even so, La Raza is slated to receive at least $1 million from the Bank of America settlement and $500,000 from the Citigroup settlement.
Lisa Navarrete a spokeswoman for La Raza told The Daily Caller News Foundation that the group is one of 37 certified housing counseling agencies approved by HUD since 1998 during the Clinton administration. She said La Raza would pocket about 10 percent of the funds and the balance will go to local groups affiliated with La Raza to provide counseling for distressed Hispanic homeowners.
The Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA) is also slated to receive $50,000 from the Bank of America settlement, according to Cause of Action.

Can you image if a group of white people started an organization called The Race?
Imagine they would have any chance of being designated a non-profit by the gooberment? Imagine they’d get $1.5 million from the gooberment for poor white folk? (Of course the real La Raza will probably spend most of it for their staff including the millionaires who run La Raza, not on poor brown folk.)
I highly doubt it. Instead the Soviet Poverty Law Center would label them a hate group and the gooberment would be “investigating.”

There’s all kinds of redistribution fraud going on in this administration. Fox reported in 2014 on $1.3 million of taxpayer dollars that an ACA enrollment group was, “potentially misusing” for “union activities instead of enrolling individuals in the Affordable Care Act.” The group was a re-branded ACORN group.
It makes me sick to think about all of the wasted money and then on top of that the constant demand for more.
It’s just politics as usual. Politicians will always use any money they can get their hands on to reward their friends and cronies and themselves and to punish their enemies. That’s the way government works.

Where do you get the mishandling? All manner of community organizations get government monies, and the fines collected from financial bad actors are supposed to be distributed to the communities that got reamed.

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen was suppose to clean up the mess left by Lois Lerner. However, even after she was gone the policy continued. It is very likely that there will be a vote to impeach John Koskinen as a result. The fact that the IRS continued its policy against conservative groups even after it was exposed and Lois Lerner resigned indicates to me that this is a much broader program than just a few department heads misusing their power. Get your head out of the sand, Libby. This is probably the most corrupt administration the USA has ever seen. The mere suggestion of using the IRS against his enemies was one of the deeds that lead to the resignation of Richard Nixon. This administration didn’t just suggest and conspire to use the IRS. It did it. And, it is liberals like you that just shrug, say “not my problem” and let it happen without consequence. This kind of precedence is very dangerous.
The government giving money to La Raza is the equivalent of the government giving money to the Ku Klux Klan. But then Libby might actually be upset about that.

These were collected on loans to individual buyers. It’s being redistributed to agitator organizations and the people affected will not see a dime. Shouldn’t the individuals affected be given the money?
