The RNC has chosen Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso to serve as chairman of the Republican National Convention´s renamed platform committee, the “Committee on Resolutions.” Co-chairs will be filled by Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin and North Carolina Congresswoman Virginia Foxx. Reince Priebus issued a statement:
“Sen. Barrasso, Gov. Fallin and Congresswoman Foxx have been dedicated leaders in our party for many years, and I am proud to have them heading up the Platform Committee. Writing the platform is a critical task, and as we enter one of the most important elections of our lifetime, our party is eager to lead an American resurgence by standing on our commitment to life, individual liberty, a strong national defense, and an economy that works for all Americans.”
Senator Barasso and Governor Fallin issued statements indicating they are eager to write a platform consistent with the will of the voters. Both have endorsed Trump. Foxx has not endorsed Trump and indicated she looked forward to, “working with all the delegates to write a unifying and substantive platform.” Foxx is up for reelection which may explain her reluctance to make a formal endorsement of Trump.
Some are expecting big clashes among Trump, Cruz, and Kasich delegates. There may be some heated discussions but I doubt there will be fireworks.
I would like to see some fireworks. I would like to see the GOP slap Trump’s face and then see Trump slap them back by walking out and declaring himself an independent candidate.
At least that would be interesting.
You need to have fireworks. We know Addelson is in who else will Trump make a deal with? They decide the platform while the pander with things they will never do.

I can not believe Republicans have laid down like sheep. Fight for your platform! Do not be Sheeple.
Laid down like sheep? A contest has been lost, that does not mean an end to the game.
All that crazy crap you little Bernie lambs are up to is just a lot of sound and noise signifying nothing. In fact you could end up tripping up Bernie’s adopted party and gain absolutely nothing.
