Did Trump Gut GOP Plank on Russia?

by Jack

There’s several articles out coming from leftwing sources that Trump went soft on Russia and gutted the GOP’s plank as it relates to Putin’s war against the Ukraine. They’ve (media)  gone to great lengths to make it look bad for Trump…imagine that, leftwing media types saying something provocative and untrue about Trump? Amazing, huh?

"The Celebrity Apprentice" Season FinaleThe truth is far less exciting than the headlines. Trump didn’t do anything. Actually it was a few Trump staffers and pro-Trump delegates. They worked to tabled a party amendment and it was eventually amended to remove two words, sending “military aid” and replacing it with sending “appropriate assistance”… to the Ukraine.

It reads basically the same.  One could argue that calling military aid “appropriate assistance,” sounds nicer.   However, in legal terms “appropriate assistance” gives us more latitude, so it was a smart move.   However, this was only a policy resolution, and it carries no legal weight.   Last time I checked Congress determines what we’ll do about Russian and the Ukraine, not the GOP platform.

I’ve applied a number of adjectives to The ELE, but not until today has he earned “stupid.” He has called on Pooty to release more Clinton email … so Pooty can’t, really, can he?

I mean, if he does, that would be a strong indication that he and The ELE are, indeed, in cahoots, and if there is more embarrassing stuff, on account of this bonehead move, they can’t use it.

    Bummer.

  2. Tina says:

I Honestly do not know what the heck Libby is talking about when she uses “ELE”.

Does anyone else? I asked once but she scoffed.

Trump does not know what Russia has. Our government suspects Russia.

However many of Hillary’s 30,000 deleted emails the Russians might have would be interesting to see. Trump indicated the press would enjoy the headline producing information.

Extinction Level Event. This is the third attempt. If you choose not to note this one either … what more can I do?

And don’t be dense. Suppose Pooty had these emails? Could he release them now without implicating the ELE in an “inappropriate” relationship with a belligerent foreign power?

      • Tina says:

Okay so maybe I missed it, or forgot it, I have had a lot on my mind of late. But for heavens sake, if you aren’t already concerned after the bumbling blow up in the ME under Obama/Hillary/Kerry, including the so-called deal with Iran and a nuclear Turkey now going totally Islamist, you are brain dead. What is it with you lelfties? You seem to believe that big dangerous bullies will throw down their deadly plans to destroy the west if you act like cowering fools. These are the most macho, misogynistic bullies on the planet. They have no respect for weak, appeasing fools. They smirk as you increase their ability to grow, attack, invade and yes, gain in technological capabilities. Your position was the same under Reagan…”he’s going to have his finger on the button.” You were fools then and you have not learned a single thing since!

And by the way…shouldn’t you be writing, “an ELE?

“Suppose Pooty had these emails? Could he release them now without implicating the ELE in an “inappropriate” relationship with a belligerent foreign power?”

Can you ask that in plain English, please? What “inappropriate” relationship do you fear? What “belligerent” power?

The problem with Hillary’s 30,000 deleted emails is they may implicate the inappropriate relationships Hillary, Bill, and their foundations have and the favors they bestowed for cash! The danger is that they would further out some of our operatives.

Jack you have a point. In fact you’ve reiterated the salient point. Campaign promises are not really promises…they are suggestions. And most will be reconsidered, altered, added to, redefined, fiddled with and/or rejected by Congress before they ever get to the presidents desk or implemented.

Campaign plans can only give the voter a broad idea of the candidates intentions and politics.

    • Libby says:

Come on, guys. You put this, we’ll just call it an “alteration” to the platform, together with the investments of Russian oligarchs in Trump Inc., and you’ve got as clear an instance of quid pro quo as a person could ask for.

      We’re not supposed to notice?

Off topic. Check out the empty seats in the California delegate section.

This week has been full of laughs.

Trump upstaged the DNC and Bill Clinton today by getting the media to talk about him again instead of them. Have to give the guy credit for knowing how to work the media.

Also, laughed when someone pointed out if there aren’t any classified emails amongst the 30,000 Hillary had deleted, why is everyone in an uproar about everyone finding out what she wrote to Bill and Chelsea about the wedding and her mom’s funeral. hehehe

Like I said the guy is smart like a fox and the media and the Dems got caught in their own trap.

The hysteria ginned up by the media bobblehead presstitutes claiming TheDonald asked Russia to commit espionage is laughable! Charles Krauthamer had a great take on this:

One of the problems with liars is that they can’t keep their stories straight!

  7. Dewtser says:

Both candidates will make deals with foreign govs for profits HRC has done it as SOS and Trump wants in on some of that action.

    Both are corrupt
