It’s NOT Your Grandpa’s Democrat Party Anymore ~ Activism Transformed the Party

Thanks once again to J Soden for bringing this story to our attention.

I’ve been saying for a long time that radical progressives have taken over leadership of the Democrat party. I’ve written about Saul Alinsky and George Soros from the beginning on Post Scripts. Others on the blog have done the same alerting us to conservatives fighting for the life and survival of America and American values. People like Dinesh D’Souza, Rudy Jasser, Andrew McCarthy, David Horowitz, Victor Davis Hansen and many others contribute to our conversations by exposing this menace through talk radio, books and the internet. Many people have worked hard to defend this great nation. Today I learned of another organization that tracks the radical progressive Democratic Party and the threat it poses to America. The Daily Caller (re-posted in it’s entirety) reports in it’s story, “Investigator Reveals How Left-Wing Donors Tactics Fundamentally Change Dem Party-Video”:

Capital Research Center (CRC), launched in 1984, is America’s investigative think tank focused on monitoring the center-left.

CRC lifts up the hood to expose how left-wing entities and donors operate to fundamentally transform American politics, and how they seek to consolidate government power while manipulating public opinion.

Scott Walter, the new president of CRC, sat down for this exclusive 26-minute video interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation and explained the Democrat party previously directed and controlled the left’s agenda and funding of all allied groups.

But much of this tactic has changed.

Today, nonprofits — with their donors, leaders and strategies — and even a few of their for-profit friends, are more important than the Democrat party. In the last decade, Walters said, liberal donors such as Tom Steyer and George Soros have become more independent with a shadowy group of special interests directing the agenda and issues at play.

Walter also discussed an example of crony capitalist schemes that enriched people like Terry McAuliffe, Virginia’s Democrat governor. McAuliffe was able to “get tax dollars for his business, foreign national investment for his business, political contributions for him and his friends, and millions for the Clinton Foundation,” by using a controversial immigration provision that grants foreign nationals green cards.

“That’s quite an operation,” Walter said.

Nowadays, according to CRC, the left also has an entire network of scientific data specialists and social scientists who test new packaging, new social media strategies, and micro-target messages to manipulate public opinion for their cause.

Few on the right, according to Walter, even know what their adversaries are doing.

Conservatives should be reminded of Sun Tzu’s admonition in”The Art of War,” as CRC seems to be the only long-term entity tracking those eroding personal and economic liberties with progressive notions.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle,” Sun Tzu wrote.

Walter reminds us that the left’s non-profits and causes garner significant taxpayer-funded subsidies, including reaping rewards from “sue and settle” schemes by regulators, to advance their agenda. Something the right does not do, he added.

References made by CRC about the advances in progressive tactics include Matt Bai’s book, “The Argument: Billionaires, Bloggers, and the Battle to Remake Democratic Politics” and Sasha Issenberg’s “The Victory Lab: The Secret Science of Winning Campaigns.” CRC’s Matthew Vadum authored a book, “Subversion Inc.,” which has the best analysis available on how Saul Alinsky’s deception and scorched-earth tactics have made many nonprofits the driving forces of the left.

Sadly this is all true. I’ve been tracking it myself through various outlets and spokesmen for the last thirty years. Additional kudos should go to David Horowitz who works tirelessly to expose this evil and who’s been tracking this bunch of commie progressives since he left their miserable ranks in disgust and remorse in the early 1980’s. His webpage, Discover the Networks is an invaluable source for the players and networks that have transformed a once great American political party and reduced it to an anti-American institution of militant activism.

    Why would a political party NOT activate for its policies? That’s what a political party does. To complain about it is nonsensical.

    Now if you Republicans want to activate for publicly funded election campaigns, I’m right there with you. But to complain about Dem fundraising, when you’re not giving up Repug fundraising … is idiotic.

      Oh brother. You understanding of what this is is paper thin, Libby.

      If you thougt republicans were doing the insidious things these “not for profit’ (my Aunt Fanny) groups and their wealthy backers were doing you’d be having fits. And don’t give me grief about the Supreme Court ruling, these groups have been doing this for decades…balance was called for!

      But this goes beyond campaigns. It includes taking control in media. education, the entertainment industry, the courts, and the science community where propaganda is fed on a daily basis and where the truth about our nation’s history and worth is trampled on and blunted. That isn’t politics or campaigning; that is a movement to infiltrate and fundamentally transform our country. It’s a movement to supplant our system of checks and balances to a single ruling elite. It’s a movement to trash our republic in favor of a system fashioned by Karl Marks. It’s a movement of hard core radical elites with a lot of money and power who think people like Chairman Mao, Fidel Castro, the communists in North Vietnam, and all the other “revolutionary dictators are good people.

      Many of the Americans ringing the alarm bells today are former communists and activist of the progressive American left.

      If you don’t appreciate the freedoms and rights you have in America you’d better learn to treasure them quickly. It’s one thing to live in a free country and flirt with communist ideas and quite another to live under them.

      She notes, “First they do it through indoctrination and then radically transforming the system when people finally see those changes as okay and acceptable.”

      Libby we may be a long way from Venezuela but a long slow death, as that being experienced in Greece and Europe in general, is not in our best interests or in the world’s best interests. Who will stand for individual rights and justice for every individual if the system that sees citizens in terms of groups takes over. Their relationship to those groups has more to do with exploitatio than it does compassion or inclusion.

      I our republic if a bunch of citizens want to buy a piece of land and make it into a commune they can. If radicals manage to destroy the republic and transform America into a commune there will be no alternatives and the world will have lost the example that has been the strongest in terms of individual rights: civil rights, property rights, speech rights, self protection (gun) rights, religious rights…

      I’m probably wasting my time if former conversations are any indication.

        Once again, I must suggest that this is paranoid. Or, it could simply be that the majority of people on the planet simply do not hold your views about education and the law and the role of government in public life.

        But the only “insidious plot” is in your head.

        To make any sort of comparison with Venezuela and the US simply proves that you know absolutely nothing about what’s been going on in Venezuela. One of my favorite dangerous fantasies these days is that The Donald does get elected, gets into the Oval Office, and finds that it simply is not possible to play Hugo Chavez … or Pooty. Our two other executive branches of government, one hopes, make this impossible … but the display would be spectacular, and wildly entertaining, I have no doubt.

        Likewise, to make any association of Hillary with communism would indicate that you have not been paying any attention at all to what Hils has said and done, lo, these last 30 years. She is firmly in the pocket of Big Money, which rips you off daily, though you are too ignorant and prejudiced to see it.

        We might, might, get an expansion of publicly funded health care out of her, but trust me, that will be the limit of her socialism.

          What the majority who live on the planet think is irrelevant. Americans aren’t required to bend to the will of people in other countries.

          But I take exception to your assertion. Why do you suppose so many people have come to America through the centuries? How many more would if they could find a way? How many come here legally and illegally because their own countries are oppressive and lacking in opportunity and freedom? How many left the USSR when they got the chance for freedom?

          You may agree that our kids have been adequately educated but there are a great many Americans that disagree with you, strongly! They disagree as a matter of factual information as well as propaganda. History, economics, and ecology education have all been compromised and skewed through propaganda and opinion.

          Likewise, the media and entertainment industries have more often than not miss-characterized the people in America, our intentions as a nation, and our history. They propagandize global warming science and politics. This isn’t about differences of opinion. This is about presenting facts in a manner so as to influence and it is not an accident. It has been planned by very radical, militant people like Bill Ayers, Angela Davis, George Soros and others who openly talk about their plans to undermine our constitution and establish an elite world governing body.

          I’ve been talking about Venezuela since I began on PS. If memory serves you defended Chavez and, preferring socialism, imagined that my predictions of its demise were dead wrong. You may even have suggested I was “paranoid.” Who is wrong today?

          Hillary will use communism, just as she uses women and the poor, Wall Street, Big Banks, Silicon Valley, and even Bill to climb the political ladder. it is all merely a means to her self-interested end as one of the elites in that world governing body. She began her journey when revolution, sparked by communist revolutionaries, was big on campus. You can’t argue that her policies are conservative or favoring capitalism and freedom. She is all Marx.           Rodham was deeply influenced by a 1966 article titled “Change or Containment,” which appeared in Motive, a magazine for college-age Methodists.           Ultimately, Hillary’s investigation of Alinsky’s methods and ideals led her to believe that President Lyndon Johnson’s federal antipoverty programs did not go far enough in redistributing wealth among the American people and did not give sufficient power to the poor.

          When Hillary graduated from Wellesley in 1969, she was offered a job with Alinsky’s Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) in Chicago. She opted instead to enroll at Yale Law School. Nevertheless, she would maintain her allegiance to Alinsky’s teachings throughout her adult life. She also continued to correspond with him, as the two maintained a very friendly relationship steeped in mutual admiration. In a letter dated July 8, 1971, Hillary penned a letter to Alnsky that began: “Dear Saul, When is that new book [Rules for Radicals] coming out—or has it come and I somehow missed the fulfillment of Revelation? I have just had my one-thousandth conversation about Reveille [for Radicals] and need some new material to throw at people. You are being rediscovered again as the New Left-type politicos are finally beginning to think seriously about the hard work and mechanics of organizing. I seem to have survived law school, slightly bruised, with my belief in and zest for organizing intact.”

          According to a March 2007 Washington Post report: “As first lady, Clinton occasionally lent her name to projects endorsed by the [IAF]…. She raised money and attended two events organized by the Washington Interfaith Network, an IAF affiliate.” (continues)

          Hillary is well schooled and absolutely committed to “communitarianism,” a term she tried to float that didn’t go over too well.

          There is no conflict.

          Big money doesn’t rip me and you off, Libby, big money married to big government elites rips us all off.

          Money either flows to government coffers where it is redistributed or it flows into the private sector where it grows the economy and jobs. As the last eight (10) years have shown, when it flows to government the economy and jobs suffer dramatically!

          You are ignorant about the radicals behind women like Hillary. You are ignorant about the history and influence they’ve had for seventy years. You are ignorant about how capitalism works, mistaking it for the corporatism that Hillary has engaged in since Bill was in office. You are ignorant about what stimulates growth and jobs. You are ignorant about the opportunities for upward mobility that the lower classes enjoyed under policies pout in place by both Democrats and Republicans in our nations history. You are ignorant about the undesirable, unintended consequences of progressive policies even when they are staring you in the face!

          Your smug superior preaching isn’t convincing.

          If she wins, and I doubt that the closer we get to November, she will be limited only if she returns to our system of checks and balances. Obama has shown that system the hand and set a precedence she could easily emulate. She has no compunctions about flaunting the law, procedures, or the wisdom of advisors. Everything is later explained away with lies, deflection, and avoidance.

    I went back to reading after posting this article and found this, an article also well worth the time to read. I learned something I did not know previously: “Joseph Farah, the founder of WND.com and a former revolutionary communist himself in his youth, said the CPUSA’s coverage was so effusive in its enthusiasm it put MSNBC to shame.

    “Back in the day when Stalinists Gus Hall and Angela Davis were regularly nominated by the party as presidential and vice presidential candidates every four years, the U.S. Communists actually had beefs with the Democrats,” he said. “But, in recent years, the party ceased those efforts in favor of a united front with the Democrats, with whom they have very few differences, if any.”

    CAIR: Islamists Fooling the Establishment:

    The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), headquartered in Washington, is perhaps the best-known and most controversial Muslim organization in North America. CAIR presents itself as an advocate for Muslims’ civil rights and the spokesman for American Muslims. “We are similar to a Muslim NAACP,” says its communications director, Ibrahim Hooper.[1] Its official mission—”to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding”—suggests nothing problematic.

    Starting with a single office in 1994, CAIR now claims thirty-one affiliates, including a branch in Canada, with more steadily being added. In addition to its grand national headquarters in Washington, it has impressive offices in other cities; the New York office, for example, is housed in the 19-story Interchurch Center located on Manhattan’s Riverside Drive.

    But there is another side to CAIR that has alarmed many people in positions to know. The Department of Homeland Security refuses to deal with it. Senator Charles Schumer (Democrat, New York) describes it as an organization “which we know has ties to terrorism.”[2] Senator Dick Durbin (Democrat, Illinois) observes that CAIR is “unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its associations with groups that are suspect.” Steven Pomerantz, the FBI’s former chief of counterterrorism, notes that “CAIR, its leaders, and its activities effectively give aid to international terrorist groups.” The family of John P. O’Neill, Sr., the former FBI counterterrorism chief who perished at the World Trade Center, named CAIR in a lawsuit as having “been part of the criminal conspiracy of radical Islamic terrorism” responsible for the September 11 atrocities. Counterterrorism expert Steven Emerson calls it “a radical fundamentalist front group for Hamas.”[3]

    Of particular note are the American Muslims who reject CAIR’s claim to speak on their behalf. The late Seifeldin Ashmawy, publisher of the New Jersey-based Voice of Peace , called CAIR the champion of “extremists whose views do not represent Islam.”[4] Jamal Hasan of the Council for Democracy and Tolerance explains that CAIR’s goal is to spread “Islamic hegemony the world over by hook or by crook.”[5] Kamal Nawash, head of Free Muslims Against Terrorism, finds that CAIR and similar groups condemn terrorism on the surface while endorsing an ideology that helps foster extremism, adding that “almost all of their members are theocratic Muslims who reject secularism and want to establish Islamic states.” Tashbih Sayyed of the Council for Democracy and Tolerance calls CAIR “the most accomplished fifth column” in the United States. And Stephen Schwartz of the Center on Islamic Pluralism writes that “CAIR should be considered a foreign-based subversive organization, comparable in the Islamist field to the Soviet-controlled Communist Party, USA.”

    The 75-member Congressional Progressive Caucus, co-chaired by Reps. Raul Grijalva and Keith Ellison, is closely allied with the Democratic Socialists of America. The Communist Party USA identifies Progressive Caucus members as its “allies in Congress.”

    The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) was founded in 1991 by Bernie Sanders, a self-identified socialist who had recently been elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. Sanders’ CPC co-founders included House members Ron Dellums, Lane Evans, Thomas Andrews, Peter DeFazio, and Maxine Waters. The Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) was also involved in CPC’s founding and in Caucus activities thereafter; IPS continues to advise CPC on various matters to this day.

    Another key player in establishing CPC was the Democratic Socialists of America(DSA), which has maintained a close alliance with the Caucus ever since. In 1997, DSA’s political director, Chris Riddiough, organized a meeting with CPC leaders to discuss how the two groups might be able to “unite our forces on a common agenda.” Among those who participated in the meeting were Bernie Sanders, labor leader Richard Trumka, professor Noam Chomsky, feminist Patricia Ireland, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Senator Paul Wellstone, journalist William Greider, and the socialist author Barbara Ehrenreich.

    Useful Idiot Libtards aren’t necessarily bad people, and in many cases, are exceptionally warm and kind hearted. Many have high IQ’s and hold advanced degrees. They can hold files full of factoids in their brains, but lack the capacity to weave them together to find a coherent pattern. Though they fancy themselves as “free thinkers”, they are actually the most authority worshipping (politically correct) and servile creatures you will ever meet. When it comes to independent critical thought, they are astonishingly stupid …..and very dangerous! To paraphrase the late great Senator Joseph McCarthy, libtards are “the unwitting hand maidens of the Communists.”

    It is important to note that many “conservatives” are just as deluded as useful liberal idiots. They spend all of their energy attacking low level libtards, feminists, environmentalists etc, while refusing to confront the real power that pulls their strings. From lofty perches high above the cloud level, the untouchable Globalists laugh as the “right” and the “left” beat each other up.

    The good news about useful idiots, is that when one of them finally figures out how he has been played, he often becomes fanatically anti-Communist / anti-Globalist. There is hope for them…or at least some of them. (continues)

    It’s not surprising that this would occur, provided that the organized labor movement is deeply entwined with the ideals of Karl Marx, Fredrick Engels and Communism. In the, Communist Manifesto, Marx and Engels explain the concept of the conflict between the BOURGEOIS AND PROLETARIANS, the Communists or advanced proletarians. Shaidle reports that in a 2005 interview with the East Bay Express Jones said,I met all these young radical people of color – I mean really radical: communists and anarchists.     Yes, GREEN is the NEW RED, because people such as John Bellamy Foster, editor of The Monthly Review, and Ian Angus, a founder of the Eco-socialist International Network and the editor of http://www.climateandcapitalism.com are doing their best to unite all different factions into one big revolution as stated in a couple of paragraphs on their website. All of these different factions have a sympathetic ear lent to them by Barack Hussein Obama as all of them fit into the agendas of the hard left elements of the Democratic Party in the United States.

    John Bellamy Foster summed up the goal of the eco-socialists with this chilling statement on The World at a Crossroads: Climate Change- Social Change Conference II, “A global ecological revolution can only occur as part of a larger social revolution”. Chilling, very chilling indeed.

    One common link to the Communists, the Islamic extremists, the environmentalists, and organized labor that can never be overlooked is George Soros who funds the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a think tank for policy in the Middle East. Recently, Mark Tapson of frontpagemag.com, reported that Marwan Muasher, a former Jordanian diplomat, has praised the revolutions rocking the region and has called for the inclusion of Islamist groups in any pluralistic, fledgling democracies that may emerge. Muasher oversees research for the Carnegie Endowment . Mr.Tapson in the same article at frontpagemag.com titled, George So… “Designs” indeed. Nothing less ambitious than the downfall of the West and the establishment of a medieval dystopia known as the worldwide caliphate. Is it a mere scare tactic to point out that internal Brotherhood documents themselves reveal that the “elimination of Western civilization” is the Muslim Brotherhood’s endgamel? Or that the Brothers’ motto is: “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope”?

    It’s all around us…has been for years…it’s happening every day in every way…but I’m “paranoid?”

    You’ve also, by association, questioned and demeaned the knowledge and first hand experience of those from whom I got this information.

    So what makes you the expert in, 1. The state of my mental health, or 2. The history of the Democrat Party and the leadership and wealthy support structure that funds it? So far you’ve offered nothing that would suggest qualifications or rebuttal backed by fact.

    It maybe that your accusations are simply the pat response given when the roots and fuel of your ideology are exposed as something other than kind, considerate, inclusive drivel you attempt to sell us day in and day out.

I’m just a lay person but that signals to me he really doesn’t understand, he doesn’t care, or worse. Attacks on the west have increased significantly this year. The refugee situation (One of your favorite horror under Bush) is ten times worse because Obama did not plan before making a mess. Iraq, Syria, Libya, Egypt, Iran, Turkey…and you act like nothing odd is happening. (How you love to play dumb)

    Like Carter Obama has decimated the military. There’s a shortage of a href=”http://alert5.com/2016/02/25/usmcs-ch-53-fleet-is-in-bad-shape/”>parts to repair the aircraft and a shortage of pilots to fly them.

    It’s not that we can’t fix this but we won’t fix it if progressive Hillary is elected. Her higher taxes, war on fuels, added regulation, and redistribution policies will cause the ranks of the poor to climb even further and the rich will continue to hide or sit on their money instead of investing it into the economy.

    We need new leadership not the same old broken down progressive fantasy. We’ve had enough of the spinners of hope. We need upward mobility, growing wages, and a strong economy…Trump can deliver that. He’s also serious about fighting and winning this bloody war!

    We Independents are the largest voting Block in America and we will have a conversation and disagree sometimes. But we talk.

    ya realize California has the worlds 6th or 7th largest economy? That California is the largest voting block by State in America and yet are excluded from being really counted in elections? We are excluded from being the early primary vote?

    Why do we allow small Southern States to dictate media and Election Propaganda?

    Think About that! Your vote does not Matter. Yet our state is the largest voting Block.

    I will more than Likely be voting in a swing state in Nov, I feel like a Traitor. California is the greatest state in the Union in my book. I have lived in over 25 states for at few months at least. make California Count!
