Election: Minorities Take a Second Look

Latinos for TrumpPosted by Tina

New Black Panther leader, Quanell X, says Democrats are “Pimping” blacks politically. His remarks, below, follow an appeal made by Trump for minorities to evaluate what voting for Democrats has brought to their communities:

Let me say this to the brothers and sisters who listened and watched that speech… We may not like the vessel [Donald Trump] that said what he said, but I ask us to truly examine what he said.

Because it is a fact that for 54 years we have been voting for the Democratic Party like no other race in America. And they have not given us the same loyalty and love that we have given them. We, as black people, have to reexamine the relationship. We’re being pimped like prostitutes and they’re the big pimps pimping us politically… promising us everything and we get nothing in return. We gotta step back now as black people and we gotta look at all the parties and vote our best interests. … I want to say and encourage the brothers and sisters… Barack Obama, our president, served two terms… the first black president ever… but did our condition get better? Did financially, politically, academically with education in our community… did things get better? Are our young people working more? … The condition got worse.

Latino’s for Trump held a rally in Anaheim over the weekend, Operation Taco Bowl

“The Democrats think they can own and acquire Hispanics’ loyalty for generations to come,” Jorge Herrera, 31, said into a microphone at a podium in front of Anaheim City Hall, where dozens of Trump supporters had gathered for the rally. “Who do they think they are? They will never own my loyalty. They will never own Hispanics’ loyalty.”

I am so glad that Latinos are speaking out about what is going on,” Chanel, a self-described “activist in the black community,” said at the podium in front of Anaheim City Hall: It’s a disappointment. We both kind of serve the same message because we have both been used by the Democratic Party. The black community, also the Latino community. They promised the Latinos amnesty June the 23rd; that did not come true. So that’s a sign that you were used. My people have been used for years. And to tell you the truth, I’m an escapee from the Democratic plantation.

It seems the biggest split in America is between those who push a message of division and special interests and those who champion individual rights and unity based on the principles of our founding: freedom and equal opportunity.

Democrats talk about doing favors for minority citizens. But handouts, freebies, and promises of change have not created the reality of equality and opportunity for many in the minority community, certainly not those stuck in the ghettos of Americas big cities. There are problems, real systemic problems in those communities, that are ignored and have been ignored for years, even by America’s first black president.

Americans of every stripe want and need new leadership. We need a leader who is not afraid to talk honestly about the systemic problems that minority communities face. We need a leader who is not bound by political and party alignments. We need a leader who is experienced in cutting through petty considerations, party strongholds, and special interest factions to get things done. Donald Trump is such a leader. If elected he will be fought tooth and nail by wealthy and powerful forces. He will need the backing of fellow Americans with a desire to return our nation to it’s projected promise of life, liberty, opportunity, and justice for all Americans. As he said himself when he asked for minority votes, “What have you got to lose?” Indeed. At this point what have any of us to lose?
