The Sick and Cowardly Attacks on our Police

by Jack

For as long as I can remember there was this invisible shield that society placed around the cops, as if to say, “You never shoot a police officer, because if you do you will be caught, you will get either life in prison or the death sentence.”  Society knew that thin blue was all that separated us from the criminals and essentially from anarchy.   But, I believe we’re seeing the beginning of a breakdown in that simple logic and the start of major problem for America.

Marilyn Mosby, Baltimore state’s attorney, pauses while speaking during a media availability, Friday, May 1, 2015 in Baltimore. Mosby announced criminal charges against all six officers suspended after Freddie Gray suffered a fatal spinal injury while in police custody. The case was later dropped and Mosby is under investigation for running an abusive prosecution in which evidence was allegedly distorted.

This morning, I opened the newspaper to read, “4 police officers gunned down in 3 states on a blood Sunday rampage!”  Each incident did not seem related to the next. However, in a way I wish they were, because it’s hard to understand how 4 individuals, with no connection to each other, could otherwise justify the shooting a police officer in cold blood?

At the core of these shootings there appears to be an overlapping motive, racial hatred against the cops.  At this time the only connection is, the suspects were all believed to black. Although, at least two police agencies are refusing to say the suspects race.  I’m sure if they were looking for a white suspect, there would be no issue about releasing the shooters complete description, which must include his race.

When a department refuses to say the suspect’s race, it’s a safe bet its because the suspect is black.  That’s how far the political correctness of politics has reached into our live.  For a chief of police, it’s preferable to pretend it could be anything else, except a race based slaying of an officer.

But, who could forget, July 7, 2016, when a black militant ambushed a group of police officers in Dallas, Texas, killing five officers and injuring nine others.  He was motivated by the haters in Black Lives Matter protest and to a lesser extent by the rhetoric of Barrack Obama and Eric Holder, who at different times gave implied credence to the absolute fallacy that black males were greatly over represented as the victims of police brutality and police shootings.

The list of ambush attacks on police keeps growing, Mississippi, Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles, Oakland, Richmond, Detroit, New York, etc.  So far, this year alone, 127 police officers have been killed in the line of duty and many more have been injured and wounded.  Of this total over 70 of the slain officers have either been killed deliberately by gunfire, vehicle assault or stabbings.   11 of the police officers were from right here, in California.  Of course not every killing had a racial motive, but enough have and that ought to give you some pause for concern.  It begs the question, where’s this headed?

As always our left-wing media is right on top of it, decending on the crime scene, ready to exploit it for all it’s worth in ratings and advertising.  They are too willing to give a voice to the militant, to the irresponsible’s, to the divisive,  to the race-baiters and haters!   Reporting the news is one thing, giving a podium to the haters is another!  In that regard the media has become complicit in these shootings.

Here’s the face of the latest shooting victim, Det. Benjamin Marconi, San Antonio Police Dept.  (Show left).  police-shooting Police are seek a black male suspect. No further information is available at this time.  The suspect was caught on a police video.

A similar ambush took place around 7:30 p.m. Sunday night, a gunman pulled up in a silver car next to a marked police Chevy Tahoe and opened fire, St. Louis Police Department Police Chief Sam Dotson told reporters. The suspect was a black male.  Two other shootings of officers followed that do not appear to be related.
