HUD Audit Finds $520 Billion – Sloppy Accounting Practices

Posted by Tina

Donald Trump’s new director of the Housing and Urban Development Department (HUD) is the noted neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson. His first act as department head was to order an audit of the books. One of the most egregious findings, aside from the billions, was that 3 previous audits found the same sloppy accounting methods Obviously nothing has been done to correct the problems. This is how our government respects the citizens…tax dollars being mismanaged in a sloppy style that is both wasteful and rife for fraud! In addition to the unaccounted for half a trillion dollars the report also found the following:

(1) the Office of General Counsel’s refusal to sign the management representation letter, (2) HUD’s improper use of cumulative and first-in, first-out budgetary accounting methods of disbursing community planning and development program funds, (3) the $4.2 billion in nonpooled loan assets from Ginnie Mae’s stand-alone financial statements that we could not audit due to inadequate support, (4) the improper accounting for certain HUD assets and liabilities, and (5) material differences between HUD’s subledger and general ledger accounts. This audit report contains 11 material weaknesses, 7 significant deficiencies, and 5 instances of noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The Trump team has vowed to drain the swamp and clean up this kind of waste and sloppiness. it’s good to see work is being done. The people work hard for the dollars they send to Washington. Its disgraceful that those who make such high salaries and benefits working in the federal bureaucracy can’t, or won’t, find it within themselves to better serve the people.

Best wishes to Dr Carson in his efforts to clean it up. Obviously he has little control over Ginnie Mae but we have to begin somewhere! This sloppiness is inexcusable and one of the many reasons I fight to cut the bloated, self-serving federal government.

Well, it looks like the old Brown buzzard and his Demonrat buddies have done and thanks to a RepubloClown. You’re going to be paying a lot more for fuel and any product or service that uses it or is shipped. And you’re going to be paying a lot more for your yearly vehicle tax. Why you people keep tolerating this is beyond me.

And here’s the rat b@st@rd RepuBlowClown you can than who voted for these huge tax hikes. California will now have by VERY far the highest fuel taxes in the country especially when you factor in the Cap And Trade Tax.

But maybe we shouldn’t be so hard on Clownella. I’m sure the Demonrats would have been able to buy off some other RepuBlowClown if they had to. It just proves, there’s not a dimes worth of difference between the criminals in these two corrupt parties.

Makes sense now why the Dems were so against Carson for the HUD position. Just like Susan Rice, there are lots of skeletons buried in closets.

If every dept. did a similar audit we just might come up with enough to pay off the $20 trillion deficit.
