Republican Kid Rock Takes the Lead in Michigan Senate Race

Posted by Tina

Politics is more and more out of the ordinary these days. The candidacy of rocker, Kid Rock (Robert Ritchie), is just the latest example. Kid Rock has yet to file his papers but assures fans and followers that he is dead serious about running. Check out his manifesto :

“I believe if you work your butt off and pay taxes, you should be able to easily understand and navigate the laws, tax codes, health care and anything else the government puts in place that affects us all.”

Who could argue with that!

Mr. Rock will have to face and defeat a field of Republican challengers before he can go head to head with the Democrat defending her seat, Debbie Stabenow. A poll taken recently has Kid Rock ahead of Stabenow 30%-26% in a two way race. It’s early, of course, but outsiders seem to be winning a lot as voters look for alternative representation.

Stabenow is somewhat unpopular with voters. On the other hand, Kid rock is a well-liked home grown guy with strong community ties…he could easily become the winner in this race!

Why not? Democrats have comedian Al Franken.

I think The Gateway Pundit is, yet again, blowing smoke up yer drawers.

    Thrilling sensation, is it?

Well, good news, you’d be wrong…how thrilling is that!

See polling page here. Also it was reported in The Hill, a very popular DC publication.

Since Clowngress will never impose Term Limits on themselves, the voters must do so. The trick then is to get decent candidates to run since the morass of paperwork involved discourages many from seeking office.
Am hoping for a large number of Eric Cantor Treatments be applied to candidates on BOTH sides of the aisle.
Gonna be snowing in Hades before I ever vote for an Incumbent again.

I agree J. Soden! We’ve got these daughtering old octogenarians hanging on to their seats like it was their personal property and the voters keep re-installing them? It’s amazing to me how stupid voters can be at times. Why do they do that, is it because they think there is not one other American in their whole district that can do the job? I think they are being intellectually lazy, they just recognize the name and put their X next to it. Using my fertile imagination now, but wouldn’t it be funny and wonderful if [divine] justice somehow intervened and those ignorant, lazy voters were jerked right out of the voting booth and given an angelic spanking? Ha!
