Chico Air Museum

Visitors are sure getting an eyeful from the backdoor of our hanger. Check out this fancy fire-fighting plane that is custom made in Canada. It’s a water-scooper and it’s huge.

The next plane is a former navy P2, fitted with both props and jet engines, he’s ready for take-off.

The next aircraft is a Piasecki helicopter that is undergoing renovation next to our shop. Note the missing front wheel? Not shown, but busy fixing it up is Harold Schooler, he’s making a new axle for the front wheel while Bob Gonsalves, our head maintenance guy, is mounting the rear landing gear. Just takes time and money….
