Both Politico and the New York Post are reporting today that President Obama interfered to blunt prosecutorial efforts by a team at the Drug Enforcement Administration in order to secure the Iran deal:
A team at the Drug Enforcement Administration had been working for almost a decade to bring down the Lebanon-based militant organization’s sophisticated $1 billion-a-year drug ring — which it found was smuggling cocaine into the US and laundering the profits by buying used cars stateside and shipping them to Africa for resale, Politico reports.
But the departments of Justice and Treasury delayed and rejected prosecution and sanctions requests from the team that had exposed the Iran-backed criminal network because the Obama White House feared “rocking the boat” with Tehran ahead of the deal, the site reports.
“This was a policy decision, it was a systematic decision,” David Asher, who helped found the program for the Defense Department, told Politico. “They serially ripped apart this entire effort that was very well supported and resourced, and it was done from the top down.”
The taskforce, named Project Cassandra, worked for eight years out of a top-secret facility in Virginia with help from 30 American and foreign security agencies, unraveling the global crime syndicate that was funding Hezbollah’s Jihadi operations, the site reports.

They were a paramilitary organization with strategic importance in the Middle East, and we watched them become an international criminal conglomerate generating billions of dollars for the world’s most dangerous activities, including chemical and nuclear weapons programs and armies that believe America is their sworn enemy.
This wasn’t just a drug operation. This was a terror operation. These revelations bring into stark contrast the Obama administration’s policies to keep America (and others in the world) safe and those of President Trump. It is unconscionable that the leader of our nation pulled something like this…disgraceful in terms of national security and justice. But, as should be obvious by now, Obama constantly did things that made us question question whose side he favored in the terror fight.
I don’t know about you but I prefer Trumps approach to national security and that includes his approach to diplomacy!

The revelations about the damage Obama did to us just keeps on coming. I am heartsick that guy was ever born. I’m serious, the world would have be so much better off. Obama’s really hurt the whole country and it’s cost the world many lives. Thanks for bringing us this report Tina, even though it’s really sad.
While I share your sentiment, I should point out that Obumble was just the sock puppet wielding the pen and phone. As an individual, he was a total zero, and empty shirt. If it had not been him, there were plenty more where he came from. As we are seeing (thank God) the problem runs much, much deeper, and was well entrenched before he hopped on board.

A former Pentagon official told Fox News that Obama received specific intelligence in daily briefings about the Islamic State’s rise. The information was said to be “granular” in detail, laying out IS’ intentions and capabilities for at least a year before it seized big chunks of Iraqi territory and started beheading Americans.
Obama’s indifference to the briefings was an issue during the 2012 campaign, when former George W. Bush speechwriter Marc Thiessen observed that Obama personally attended only 44% of them. Obama’s perceived lack of interest in a terror war, which he claimed was won prior to the Benghazi attack, mirrors his reported lack of interest in the rise of the Islamic State.

Just as he was an accomplice to gunrunning in Operation Fast and Furious, which got Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and many others killed, now we know Pressident Obama was so intent on getting any kind of nuclear deal with the state sponsor of terror known as Iran that he was willing to derail efforts that were about to shut down Hizb’allah’s drug running activities inside the United States:
