Our Bizzare World

by Jack

Can you believe hundreds of people just took part in a Trayvon Martin peace march?  In general terms, I’m all for peace marches, but how does Trayvon Martin become a victim, a martyr for civil rights?

Martin was shot after attacking one George Zimmer.  He knocked Zimmer down and was  pounding his head into the sidewalk when Zimmer shot him.   Martin’s motive; Zimmer was following him, doing a self- styled neighborhood watch due to recent break-ins and this enraged Martin.

An intense investigation by local police and then the Dept. of Justice found Zimmer  shot Martin in self defense…after being attacked.

We should have compassion for his family for their loss, but to try and make this incident into some kind of civil rights case, seems really strange.  Had President Obama not inserted himself into this case and wrongly implied there was some sort of cover up, possibly due to police prejudice against blacks, we would have never heard of this incident and rightly so.  As it turned out, the police acted properly, there was no cover up and Zimmer, (kooky as he may be) was the victim.

So, what’s next, a statue for Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo?   We live in a very bizarre world and it’s getting more bizarre by the day.

    It’s Zimmerman, not Zimmer.

I have to agree that the situation was much more complicated than many on the left wanted to believe. While I think Zimmerman bore a lot of responsibility for what happened (and has since turned out to be a violent psychopath), ultimately the murder charge couldn’t be proven and it seems Zimmerman did act in self-defense. He should have been charged with criminal negligence, not murder.

The Michael Brown case is even worse–every piece of evidence shows that Brown’s shooting was justified. At the same time, the police in Ferguson had a well-earned reputation for racial discrimination which is part of why the false claims of Brown’s defenders were believed by so many. The issues of racism and police brutality are serious and well-documented, but we hurt our cause when we choose the wrong martyrs.

The United States Department of Justice investigation and findings about the Fergusson PD under Barack Obama and Eric Holder is suspect due to the bias, bigotry and prejudgement that these two displayed during their tenure.

The events that made these stories nationwide news were premeditated, organized, and designed to create anger, resentment, and division. These race baters were purposely ginning up hatred against whites under phony pretenses. Obama and Holder were wrong on the facts in both cases (Ferguson and Trayvon Martin) and Obama was wrong when he unfairly judged Cambridge police Sergeant James Crowley. The lies involved in these stories were never adequately corrected.
Actual facts about police shootings were never revealed or discussed. Outrageous incidents of black violence against whites and police officers and black mob violence followed the Obama/Holder antics. The insidious “movement” against whites continues today on our educational campuses.

The events in Ferguson, Florida, and Boston are examples of people of color being used by Democrat leaders for political power. The ONLY purpose I can imagine is a plan for absolute socialist power. It still disgusts and angers me greatly that this could happen at the highest levels of government in America.

In February we celebrate black history. The Obama presidency represents a dark era of our shred history. It’s not just bizarre, or strange, it’s deeply offensive.

The racial discrimination of the Ferguson PD had been well documented for years before the DOJ investigated. That’s why there was an investigation in the first place. You have no actual rebuttal to the investigation’s findings, and there is none. The investigation itself found evidence contrary to the initial bias and was forced to conclude the shooting of Brown was justified; that would indicate that the investigators were able to overcome their bias and produce accurate results.

Obama and Holder were wrong on the facts in both cases (Ferguson and Trayvon Martin)

Neither ever made any false statement of fact in either case.

and Obama was wrong when he unfairly judged Cambridge police Sergeant James Crowley.

I think he was wrong to say what he said, even though I agree with his opinion; Sergeant Crowley did behave stupidly in that incident.

Meant to add: the president shouldn’t be singling out any officer the way Obama did to Crowley, period. It paved the way for Trump’s many feuds with citizens, law enforcement and journalists. Obama set a terrible precedent in this regard.
