Magazine Cover Art Body Shames Trump, Gets Slammed!

Posted by Tina

I always thought The New Yorker magazine was a serious, sophisticated publication, even though I often disagreed with it’s content.

No longer.

It’s latest cover was released early via Twitter and features President Trump “…addressing reporters in the nude in an unflattering illustration that mocks his appearance.” (See link)

This is an example of the phony posture of left elitists who claim the mantle of inclusivness, tolerance, decency and kindness. (“Can’t we all gt along…we are the world…it takes a villiage) So phony! Leave it to someone at the WaPo to weigh in favorably:

Washington Post media columnist Erik Wemple seemed to take great joy in the cover, noting there is a great deal to love about the illustration and pointing to the size of particular extremities as an example, an obvious jab at the size of Trump’s hands.

The good news? Feedback on Twitter wasn’t always so flattering:

…many critics chimed in with responses calling the image “disgusting” and “repulsive,” others accused the image of mocking the president for his physical appearance – which is generally frowned upon in the current cultural landscape. …

… “Imagine the s–t storm had Madame @HillaryClinton won and a magazine had decided to run a cover of her along these lines,” one user wrote.

“It’s sad to see liberal deep state minds at work, only hurting the future of our country, it[s] citizens and their own families! What goes around comes around,” a critic of the cover tweeted, while another said the image is an example of why The New Yorker is “turning into the Mad Magazine for urban elitists.”

Insult to Mad Magazine…but not bad.

Someone else who was “slammed” on Friday was former FBI Assist. Director McCabe who heard those magic words “You’re Fired!”
McCabe fired back, claiming it was all political, but here’s an interesting opinion who ELSE might be on the hook – legally!

Can’t imagine this sort of low brow stuff happening any time prior to the Johnson administration. However, since then the media has been on a downhill skid. Today, magazines and newspapers are willing to do almost anything to stay afloat. Hardly anyone is buying them, its all about the internet and television. The New Yorker will probably be gone in another 5 years.

  3. Peggy says:

Nothing even close to this would have ever appeared with Obama nude on the front cover of any magazine, that wanted to still exist after.

  4. Libby says:

I think it’s quite artfully restrained, really … in the circumstances.

The circumstances being quite unlike anything the nation has had to deal with before. I mean, the man lies, baldly, like a dog.

Nothing bests the lie that, “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it,” and on average you’ll save “$2500 dollars on premiums per family per year!”

Street artist, Sabo, created a portrait (scroll down for full body) of Hillary in a semi-naked state. She was covered in tatoos but other than that she was not featured in a terribly grotesque manner. I doubt very seriously if the woman who stumbles down the stairs repeatedly, looks anything at all like she’s very kindly portrayed.

Let’s face it, you guys are not just viscous (sometimes criminal) liars, you are also crude and unimaginably unkind (nasty).

Trump just mirrors everything you’ve been up to for decades. He’s exposing your nastiness and beating you at your own game and you don’t like it…bless your little heart!
