“March for Our Lives”…Uh…Not Exactly

Posted by Tina

Right after the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida where seventeen lost their lives David Hogg came to the forefront to speak for like minded students with the media. His original demeanor was that of a thoughtful, serious young man who was concerned with the safety of students at his school and across America.

But it wasn’t long before Hogg’s demeanor and rhetoric dramatically changed. He was courted by CNN and other big media and championed by left activist and movie stars. See also here. This is heady stuff for a young aspiring journalist. It’s understandable that his enthusiasm for the subject pushed into high gear.

In interviews Hogg’s animosity toward the NRA and it’s spokespersons became quite apparent. Hate filled accusations for one of it’s spokesmen, Dana Loesch, suggest the political attitude and ulterior motives of the far left. The safety of students was now dependent on gun control just as the student’s placard in the photo above indicates.

In reality the student cries for safety in our schools is being used (by left organizers with activist cash) as an excuse to launch protests against the NRA and make demands for (absolute?) gun control:

Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg appeared with Brian Stelter on Reliable Sources. There, he tore into NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch for her supposed evil: “She’s a national propagandist for the NRA. . . . She wants them to think they’re on their side, she’s not. She’s actually working for the gun manufacturers. . . . She wants her base to continue attacking [police] so she can sell more guns.” With little pushback from Stelter, Hogg proceeded to defend Sheriff Scott Israel: “I don’t want to say anything until after the investigation is done, because I don’t know what happened.” He then accused Loesch of lack of support for law enforcement, calling her “hypocritical and disgusting,” and adding, “She owns these congressmen. She can get them to do things. It’s just she doesn’t care about these children’s lives.”

This young man is not well educated…nor is he well informed. NRA members generally support police officers and are involved heavily in gun safety, safety training, and sensible gun regulations. It was the NRA that helped to draft the bill on background checks. Loesch supports the NRA and the ads she’s made defend the organization and the Constitutional right of the people to keep and bear arms, which “shall not be infringed.” She defends the NRA because of left wing criticisms and attacks based on lies. Loesch is also a mother. She cares about kids. She and her family were forced to move because of threats made against her. Now she is under attack again:

NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch has been targeted by the Parkland survivors for major online bullying and abuse. These are the same students who have sat in school seminars about the dangers of “bullying.” She has been demonized, mocked, ridiculed and threatened with physical violence. Loesch was recently escorted out of the CNN town hall event by armed security who feared for her safety. Back in 2017, she was forced to move due to credible threats of violence and rape. … Now, Loesch’s children are being targeted for bullying by Parkland survivor Lauren Hogg, sister of the ever-vocal David Hogg … This led to others on the Twitter thread speculating about the Loesch children being protected due to homeschooling. Loesch is a strong supporter of homeschooling but has also sent at least one of her children to a parochial school…

David Hogg, as it turns out, is not only poorly informed and ill-educated, he is also one of the most disrespectful, foul mouthed, anti-NRA youths ever groomed by radical commentators and agitators:

‘When your old-a** parent is like, :I don’t know how to send an iMessage,: and you’re just like, “Give me the f***ing phone and let me handle it,” Sadly, that’s what we have to do with our government,’ Hogg told The Outline (Launched by former Bloomberg editor) on Friday.

‘Our parents don’t know how to use a f***ing democracy, so we have to.’

On Saturday student-filled “March for Our Lives” protest were staged all around the country. Left organizations, even a national sports team, helped to bus them in. David Hogg addressed the crowd in Washington DC and echoed his calls for a “revolution”:

“We are sick and tired of the inaction here in Washington and around the country” by politicians who are “owned by the NRA,” David Hogg, a senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, said on “Good Morning America” this morning. “Today we are going to start a revolution.”

“We will change America with or without these politicians,” continued Hogg, who lost 17 classmates and teachers in the mass shooting on Feb. 14.

With or without politicians? Master Hogg said the adults (Old a** parents) don’t know how to “use” a democracy. Seems to me his teachers in Florida have taught him very little about how our republic and it’s three branches of government operate. He seems to be unaware of the right of citizens to petition their government. In fact this young man sounds an awful lot like the Marxist students of the past that also called for revolution…with protest and violence: “The youth movement must develop into a fighting force which serves the people.”

Protesters should not presume to speak for “the people,” because they do not. In fact this particular bunch of students are speaking for a radical fringe element. The NRA and it’s members support sensible gun regulations, support security in our schools, and deplore the fact that the far left fringe never address the core problems behind these shooting but always go for another round of disarming the people… “Why do people even need guns?” they ask.

Vladimir Lenin: “One man with a gun can control 100 without one.” … “Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.”

Joseph Stalin: “We don’t let them have ideas. Why would we let them have guns?” … “Education is a weapon whose effects depend on who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed.” … “If the opposition disarms, well and good. If it refuses to disarm, we shall disarm it ourselves.”

Everything old is new again, and again, and again. David Hogg is the latest in a long line of dupes who’s developing quite nicely into an agitator for the radical left. Barring a wake up call can you imagine what he’ll be like once he’s finished college?

Dip stick Hogg is representative of the first generation of Americans to demand the rescinding of their God given constitutional rights.

  2. Tina says:

Does Hogg’s salute remind you of former dictators?

As others have said his fifteen minutes is going to his head.

Emma Gonzalez, another Parkland survivor, wore Cuban flags on her jacket while demanding we give up our Constitutional right to protect ourselves from an oppressive gov’t.

It’s not just our educational system that has failed this girl, it’s her own parents and who have.

“Her father fled Cuba and is a lawyer: Gonzalez was born in the US. Her dad sought refuge from Fidel Castro’s regime by moving to New York in 1968.”

    • Tina says:

Emma can “call BS” all day long it doesn’t mean she’s been well educated or informed. It does mean she’s a kid and she has passion but very little experience. Sounds like her parents are coping like most parents of teens do, guiding as best they can and holding their breath.

The disgusting left knows kids won’t be challenged, that’s why they use them. Same with people of color.

Peggy, Tina, I am so sorry, but I must, yet again draw your attention to the following:

      https://www.salon.com/2018/03/23/trump-voters-are-selfish-they-love-him-because-they-identify-with-him/

Most particularly to the bit about gullibility. I have spoken to you about this many, many, many times … but you will not learn:

You really ought to be ashamed. I don’t know how you can have a conscience and fail to be.

      • Tina says:

Paywalls prevent me from accessing those left wing rags.

I did not get even close to calling Emma or the teens “villains” but I’m pretty sure the sleazy activists that are guiding them and using them are doing a good job of moving them in that direction. Disgusting.

Intimidation games and name calling don’t impress. Maybe you need a check on your own sense of shame.

      • Peggy says:

Shame on you Libs for once again showing your low-level of comprehension and priority of attacking us on the right over learning the truth.

My post clearly stated Gonzalez wore a Cuban flag and made no reference to her ripping up the Constitution. Even Snopes confirmed her wearing the flag was “True.”

Wishful thinking you’d ever read anything other than your biased lying news sources to become an informed individual, so I won’t even try, cuz it would just be a waste of time.

Just realize nothing you have to say has any meaning since it’s all based on lies and the shameful behavior by you and your party.

        From Snopes:

Emma González wore a Cuban flag patch on her jacket while speaking at the March for Our Lives rally in March 2018.

        RATING
        TRUE
        ORIGIN

  4. Peggy says:

Here’s a lesson for our students about an oppressive gov’t., their own.

The Truth About the Wounded Knee Massacre:

“Why was deadly force used at Wounded Knee?
    Patti Jo King • December 30, 2016

In 1889, the pronouncements of Paiute mystic Wovoka sparked hope of the dawning of a new age among Western tribes; an age that promised an end to Euro-American oppression and a return to tribal autonomy, abundance and spiritual renewal. According to Wovoka, deliverance required participation in a regime of ritual dance and prayer. As word of his Ghost Dance Revival spread, a Lakota delegation visited him, and then carried the Ghost Dance back to their respective reservations.

On the morning of December 29, 1890, Chief Spotted Elk (Big Foot), leader of a band of some 350 Minneconjou Sioux, sat in a makeshift camp along the banks of Wounded Knee Creek. The band was surrounded by U.S. troops sent to arrest him and disarm his followers. The atmosphere was tense, since an order to arrest Chief Sitting Bull at the Standing Rock Reservation just 14 days earlier had resulted in his murder, prompting Big Foot to lead his people to the Pine Ridge Agency for safe haven. Alerted to the band’s Ghost Dance activities, General Nelson Miles commanded Major Samuel Whiteside and the Seventh Cavalry to apprehend Big Foot and his followers, and the regiment intercepted them on December 28, leading them to the edge of the creek. While confiscating their weapons, a shot pierced the brisk morning air. Within seconds the charged atmosphere erupted as the Indian men rushed to retrieve their confiscated rifles and troopers began to fire volley after volley into the Sioux camp. From a hill above, a Hotchkiss machine gun raked the tipis, gun smoke filled the air, and men, women, and children ran for a ravine near the camp, only to be cut down in crossfire. More than 200 Lakota lay dead or dying in the aftermath as well as at least 20 soldiers.”

Expect we’ll see him shortly as a full-fledged employee of FNN, where he’ll fit right in with the other bobbleheads.

  6. Libby says:

“Vladimir Lenin: “One man with a gun can control 100 without one.” Only if all hundred are puking cowards. If twenty are not, yer man with his gun gets savaged.

And isn’t it telling that you should pick this out? Though it is false, it amply illustrates your yearning for power over your fellow being.

    • Tina says:

Leave it to you to miss Lenin’s point: disarming the citizenry so they could be controlled.

It is not false that the Democrat Party has moved to the radical (SDS) extreme.

And I’m not the control freak, Libby. As you have shown in comments again and again, YOU ARE. Your politics, therefore, follow.

      • Libby says:

Please, Tina … the powers, embodied particularly in Fox News, have had you intellectually hog-tied all you life, and they did not need a gun to do it.

        • Tina says:

Please Libby…every time you cannot muster an argument you immediately run to the insult and claim superior intellect…your snobbery doesn’t win the argument it makes you look ridiculous.

          • Pie Guevara says:

This is especially poignant considering that Libby lives in an intellectual black hole. How stupid must someone be not to get Lenin’s point and aim? Pretty damn stupid. Really damn stupid. It puts a new light on the term “useful idiot.”

    • Peggy says:

Libs: “One man with a gun can control 100 without one.”

Yup, sure can and in a town of 33,000 where every head of household is required to have a gun proves it works. No cowards live here, cuz they skipped town. LOL

Reminds me of the days when I was a kid in Eureka when we didn’t have to lock our doors at night and could leave the keys in the car.

CNN Reports: Georgia Town That Requires Gun Ownership Has Seen One Murder in 6 Years:

“In Kennesaw, local regulations state that “every head of household residing in the city limits is required to maintain a firearm,” CNN reported Tuesday.

Kennesaw Mayor Derek Easterling, who keeps an AR-15-style rifle in his home, explained to CNN the reasoning behind the unique law:

“If you’re going to commit a crime in Kennesaw and you’re the criminal — are you going to take a chance that that homeowner is a law-abiding citizen?”
And apparently, the philosophy works. In the town of 33,000 people, there has only been one murder in the last six years, and the violent crime rate is below 2 percent.

Graydon noted the low crime rate can’t be attributed just to gun ownership. He said the town’s incredibly safe reputation “needs to be looked at from a whole picture.”

    • Peggy says:

Hey Libs, here’s another one to stick in your hat in the hopes the information will sink into your brain. Watch and listen to her say she bullied the shooter that killed her classmates and teachers.

Emma Gonzalez admits taking part in actively bullying the Florida school shooter ever since middle school. Says she was justified in doing so. Why am I not surprised?:

  7. Libby says:

    All right!

    https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2018/03/remington-outdoor-files-for-chapter-11-bankruptcy-trump-slump.html

And most particularly check out the bit where it’s the ascendance of the Repugs that’s done them in! If Hils were in the White House, they’d be fat and happy … and ain’t that kinda’ pathetic?

With this, and with that Salon article I posted last week, there is much discussion on this side of the fence about whether it’s at all helpful to be rubbing your noses into your assorted intellectual and emotional deficiencies. But what else? … the liberal, permissive and egalitarian tactic of ignoring, conciliating, even indulging, your paranoid, racist and authoritarian tendencies is makin’ a big ol’ mess.

    • Tina says:

It is NOT the ascendance of the Republicans that “done them in.” Political spin can’t substitute for factual information.

Gun makers enjoyed a period of increased gun sales under Obama:

The number of guns manufactured increased by 18 percent during the George W. Bush administration, while the Clinton administration actually saw a 9 percent reduction.

But under President Obama, gun production has spiked 140 percent to 10.8 million firearms in 2013, the most recent year for which data is available.

Prior to the last election our totally irresponsible and partisan press pushed the notion that Hillary was a shoe in. Gun manufacturers prepared for it by gearing up for production.

Remington has also been sued, according to the following article, by Sandyhook families who think they can hold the manufacturer responsible rather than the criminal.

The AFP through Yahoo reports on the Chapter Eleven filing:

The restructuring agreement will allow Remington to reduce some $700 million of its consolidated debt, according to the company, as well as inject a contribution of $145 million of new capital into its operating subsidiaries.

In February Remington said its “business operations will continue to operate in the normal course and will not be disrupted by the restructuring process.”

The gun maker isn’t going away, boo hoo for you.

“the liberal, permissive and egalitarian tactic of ignoring, conciliating, even indulging…”

When? Where? What evidence is there that you and your party have any of these qualities when it comes to the discussion about guns (or race).

Your party uses charged language and accusations as a matter of course. You don’t debate based on information and facts and an intention to solve the problem(s) but on specious accusations and emotional pleas to continue division and discord!!!

      Scum!

    • Pie Guevara says:

This crap Libby slings is precisely demonstrates how vile Libby and the left are. To say such things that are not only patently false but seek to destroy any reasonable and reasoned conversation and debate. This is also precisely why I find Democrats and leftists like Libby so despicable. They are unfit to make policy.

David Hogg, a foul-mouthed, foul-thinking, brainwashed, self-described “white privileged” leftist kid is being used by the left as a political tool, willingly.

  8. Tina says:

    Open Secrets:

The National Rifle Association received twice as much money from nearly five times as many donors in the seven days after the Parkland, Florida, high school shooting than it did in the seven days before the shooting.

The contributions were made by NRA members and employees to its political action committee, the NRA Political Victory Fund.

The left is attempting to destroy the NRA through public denegration based on lies and emotion proving they engage in anything but, “… ignoring, conciliating, even indulging…”

    • Pie Guevara says:

And the NRA will continue to be a powerful and necessary political force.

    • Peggy says:

I joined for the first time and glad I was one of several others who did too. The “Silent Majority” will be heard and not silenced by the msm.

Google Sees Huge Increase in ‘How to Join the NRA’ Searches Since Parkland Shooting:

“As left-wing advocacy groups and anti-gun media personalities continue their daily assault on the National Rifle Association, frantically seeking to make them a scapegoat for the Parkland school shooting, it appears their efforts may be backfiring horrendously and have only succeeded in garnering more support for the NRA.

By increasing their support for the NRA, conservatives have a direct method of not only rebuking the left’s narrative, but also further humiliating the mainstream media by showing them that they have once again vastly underestimated the “silent majority”.

  9. Pie Guevara says:

March 22 Citigroup announced new restrictions on firearms vendors that ban the firearms transactions from being carried out and ban firearms vendors from having accounts with Citigroup.

Today I cancelled my Citibank Costco VISA card and called the local Costco general manager to tell him why. I told him who I was and simply said that I cancelled my card because Citibank is playing a political game with firearms vendors. I also suggested that Costco find another company to handle their credit cards. The manager was very nice and said he would pass the message up the food chain.

If you are a gun owner with a Costco Citibank VISA card I encourage you to do the same, cancel Citibank Costco VISA card your and send a civil and courteous message to your local Costco manager.

    • J. Soden says:

Had a chat with Costco Corporate and expressed my negative opinion on Citi’s behavior. Agent I spoke with had heard about Citi’s actions, and claimed she agreed with me.
Also posted several places online the recommendation that other Costco members do the same.
Remains to be seen of Costco will heed the ire of so many of its members.

Rosanne’s return show last night on ABC was an all time hit. She’s a big Trump supporter. I missed last night’s show but have set the recorder for next Tuesday’s.

Rebooted Roseanne is a massive hit in the US as ratings skyrocket:

“According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two episodes averaged a 5.1 rating in the key demographic coming in at 18.1 million viewers, making it the “highest-rated regularly-scheduled scripted show of the last few seasons, as well as the highest-rated sitcom in recent memory”.
