Missouri state lawmakers have passed a number of bills to prevent “illegal immigration” in the state, but the idea that Missouri doesn’t have any illegal immigrants is a false one. A version of that rumor has been making the rounds online for years. It came from an editorial written by GOP State Rep. Nita Jane Ayres. It was published by the Ozarks Sentinel on May 13, 2009.
What is correct is very significant, the Missouri General Assembly placed a constitutional referendum on the ballot in 2007 that designated English as the state’s primary language. The state legislature also got a measure signed into law in 2008 that required Missouri Highway State Patrol officers to check the immigration status of people who were pulled over.
It’s also true that lawmakers in Missouri have made illegal immigrants ineligible for state-sponsored health care and food stamp programs, according to Legal Services of Missouri. Illegal immigrants are also ineligible for financial aid in Missouri.
And, while the claim that there are no illegal immigrants in Missouri is false, the state does have one of the lowest populations of illegal immigrants in the country. According to 2010 U.S. Census data, there were about 55,000 illegal immigrants in Missouri, which was less than 1 percent of the state’s population.

What’s surprising is that there hasn’t been a movement for a similar constitutional amendment on Taxifornia’s ballot.
But then, given the liberal judiciary in Taxifornia and their propensity to overturn amendments approved by voters, it might be a waste of time and $$.

Story doesn’t say if the initiative is a constitutional amendment. If it’s not, the Lunkhead Legislators can change it once it’s passed.
On Easter the topic came up about renewing our drivers license. My family wasn’t aware of the new Calif. requirements for US citizens and legal residents put into place per federal requirements after 9/11.
Note that voting is not mentioned at all for a “real” license. Someone better informed with contract law can verify unless specifically listed it is omitted. So, is it voter fraud if the state’s own laws are written to allow illegals to vote? Someone, other than Libby, prove me wrong, please.

Federal Non-Compliant DL/ID cards will consist of:
All DL/ID cards other than REAL ID Compliant DL/ID cards including DLs issued pursuant to AB 60.
If you do not apply for a federal compliant REAL ID driver license or ID card, you will receive a Federal Non-Compliant card, which displays the words “Federal Limits Apply.” This card cannot be used to board a domestic flight or visit a military base or certain federal facilities beginning October 1, 2020.
