Mexican Army Helicopter Violates Border and Fires on US Officers

TUCSON, Ariz. (CBS Las Vegas) — Border Patrol agents in Arizona were reportedly fired upon by a Mexican military helicopter that traveled across the border.

KVOA-TV reports that Mexican authorities were conducting a drug interdiction operation when the incident happened early Thursday morning on the Tohono O’odham Indian Nation. The Mexican chopper fired at the agents and then flew back into Mexico.

“The incident occurred after midnight and before 6 a.m. Helicopter flew into the U.S. and fired on two U.S. Border Patrol agents,” del Cueto said in a statement to KVOA. “The incident occurred west of the San Miguel Gate on the Tohono O’odham Indian Nation. The agents were unharmed. The helicopter went back into Mexico. Mexico then contacted U.S. authorities and apologized for the incident.” END

The Mexican Army pilots said the border was not well marked, despite a river and a border wall, but they failed to come up with an explanation why they fired at the clearly marked US Border Patrol vehicle and then turned to fly back to Mexico?

They obviously knew where they were because they bugged out after firing. The Mexican authorities denied they were running interference from a smuggling operation by a drug cartel.

This is yet one more reason why I will never again travel to Mexico and I urge all American tourists to do the same. It’s a corrupt and dangerous country and we have no business doing business there.

    Explanation? How about … dark.

“It’s a corrupt and dangerous country and we have no business doing business there.”

You’re entitled to your opinion … and nobody’s making YOU do any such thing. But as a matter of public policy … it just isn’t workable.

And there you have as concise and cogent a summation of the plight of the reactionary conservative as was ever written. I am brilliant.

The peninsula of Baha California isn’t so bad. Great fishing.

But you are correct, Jack, the Mexican elite that runs the government is corrupt as hell. This exporting oil rich county so hates its own citizens that instead of making strides to improve their economy they use the United States as a dumping ground for their poor and unemployed while pocketing the country’s wealth and supporting murderous drug lords who depend upon selling their poison to US citizens.

Libby, of course, demonstrates the usual brilliance of an extreme left-wing ignoramus who has her head comfortably buried in the sand.

Think of Libby as the embodiment of MAD TV’s Nicole Sullivan brilliant character creation, The Vancome Lady, and she becomes more palatable —

Libby never touches the salient point…avoids it like the plague! I guess it’s okay with her that Mexican cops (Army? both have been reported) are firing on our border agents. She must be one of those open border types…either that or she really needs that shipment. (Joking, don’t have a conniption)

“Dark” doesn’t cut it, Sweety. Unless they were fired upon there would be no reason to indiscriminately play shoot em up and since they are officials they were probably equipped with a searchlight of some sort…how else can they identify who to shoot in the dark? They would have easily been able to identify the agents as “friendlies”.

Until this nation wises up and raises kids that think drugs are poison we don’t have a prayer and neither do the people stuck in corrupt nations south of our borders. It’s incredible that people get hysterical over how bad cigarettes are while they will say nothing (because they indulge?) about the damage drugs do.

  4. Libby says:

    “‘Dark’ doesn’t cut it, Sweety.”

Of course it does. The border is swarming with drug traffikers. Why shouldn’t the Mexicans mistake border agents, in the dark, lying in wait for drug traffikers … for drug traffikers.

Makes perfect sense. You just have no imagination, that’s what. Prejudice … that’s all you’ve got. And such an uninteresting life you lead on that account.

“Until this nation wises up and raises kids that think drugs are poison ….”

Never got a buzz on? … after a nasty day toiling in the corporatocracy? Lucky you.

Libby Dark for an excuse might have worked before the invention of low light enhancing devices about 50 years ago. Now everybody who flies a military helicopter at night is required to use them and to use GPS. Without such things one might fly into a hillside or a tree. And you certainly couldn’t see well enough to shoot at someone, unless you didn’t really care who you were shooting.

  5. Tina says:

“The border is swarming with drug traffikers.”

And in that “swarm” these guys couldn’t or wouldn’t spotlight before randomly firing?

I’d say your imagination is running wild and got the best of you.

Prejudice is pretending to like everybody when clearly its just a big fat pretense. You are one of the most bigoted people here, so imbrued are you in political correctness. Brown skinned people are always nice, right, good, honorable, innocent, victims…and Tea Party/conservative people are always racist, prejudiced slugs.

    You are such a phony!

As for the buzz question, no.

I’m no teetotaler but if I have a (legal) drink I do so responsibly.

But once again that isn’t the point, is it? The point is that liberals, when they use, promote and embrace drug use in the same general fashion that they support abortion in that, “You can’t tell me what to do even if it is killing kids, ruining nations, and costing us all a bundle of money” fashion. You are not adults you are aging children lacking the capability to be responsible and as demanding as a two year old.

Re Blame The Victim: “Never got a buzz on?”

Who has the “buzz on” is fairly obvious. A buzz on day in and day our. Have another toke on that pipe and refill your drinky-poo.

  7. Libby says:

I suppose it’s silly of me, expecting y’all to be able to take inferences. When we start running a society wherein everybody has lots of productive and fulfilling work to do, there will be less resort to other means of emotional gratification.

And if you brought all this clandestine indulgence out into the legal realm … you could put all the nasty boys out of business tomorrow. But heaven forfend we should ever do anything so sensible.

  8. Tina says:

Keep climbing Libby. Its a big cliff this administration has given you. That position of fake moral authority is slipping away but as long as there’s hope….

When there is enough work for everybody the socialist lie will have been exposed along with the phonies who perpetrate it…keep climbing.

As for low life’s both high and low, they will always be with us. Our best hope is to lessen their numbers and influence. It will take sensible policy that creates opportunity for all. It will take unity of purpose as proud defenders of freedom and equal rights rather than the division and special rights activism of socialist radicals.
