Law of Unintended Consequences

Posted by Tina

* Lansing, Mich. – ”Seinfeld” characters Kramer and Newman once tried driving a mail truck full of empty cans and bottles to Michigan to profit from the state’s dime deposit law. But illegal returns are a real-life phenomenon and are no laughing matter in 11 states. *** Michigan would have at least $10 million a year more for environmental cleanup if not for people redeeming containers that were bought in other states. Mortgage Crisis Timeline 1933 Through Today

Posted by Tina

The series of events, manipulations and intimidations that led up to and then broke the financial system recently is recorded in a successive timeline posted by M. Jay Wells at American Thinker. Using quotes and gathered statistical information from news clippings and documents Wells provides the most comprehensive study of the problem Ive yet seen. Read it and learn, its an eye opener. The article begins by placing the truth about this crisis within the context of the current presidential race where its significance becomes all too apparent:

Why the Mortgage Crisis Happened, by M. Jay Wells – American Thinker

* Obama’s economic narrative of the mortgage crisis ignores the facts. He has put free-market capitalism at the root of the current mortgage industry debacle, denying the real history of government interference in that market. *** On September 15, with banking giant Lehman Brothers filing for bankruptcy protection, Obama was given the opening to begin weaving his anti-capitalist storyline. *

ZAP ELECTRIC CARS

Posted by Jack

The ER just ran a story on the new electric car dealership in Chico selling ZAP electric cars. I happened to find the car shown below on ebay. It has lots of upgrades too. I thought you would like to read the ad. Might encourage you to check out the ZAP dealer in Chico. I think these cars are clean, fun, practical and real easy to maintain.
aelectric.jpg
$6900 on EBAY – Here we have “Sparky“. He is a 2006 ZAP XEBRA with lots of upgrades! Sparky has been upgraded with new front, and rear springs, a window washer, 13” tires, brand new Deka Dominator batteries, a paktraker to monitor the new batteries, and the MOST important upgrade of all!!!!!! He has been upgraded with the 84 volt package giving him better range, and speed. I drive him to work on a daily basis. He will travel 45mph with no problems.

Unfortunately, my daughter, and my money have left for college, so I must part with Sparky in order to pay for aforementioned college. Checkout the zap website, at www.zapworld.com and a great owners website at www.zebraworld.com for lots of info on these great little cars. They are by no means a replacement for your current vehicle, but a wonderful addition to the fleet. You will find yourself using this car for the many errands, and short hops you need to make. It’s a great feeling to pass the gas station, and wave as you go by!!!

Please contact me with any questions you may have. Zero feedback bidders please contact me prior to bidding. I will assist in shipping, and may be persuaded to deliver this car to you in South Carolina.

Remember Gas is only going to RISE in price, and the backlog on these cars new, is about 3 months!!! (At $11,500.00)

P.S. Don’t bid on this car if you are in the witness protection program……It gets a LOT of attention, and cell phone photos.

Thanks for your time, and consideration.

PILOTS INTERNET BLOG

‘We have H. R. on this flight’, she said. (H. R. stands for human remains.)
‘Are they military’, I asked.
‘ Yes’, she said.
‘Is there an escort’, I asked.
‘Yes, I already assigned him a seat’.

Obamas “Nefarious” Alliances and Ideals

Posted by Tina

Barack Obama prefers to mask his radical ideals and hide his radical associations and alliances. We can hardly blame him, if he were being straight with the American people he wouldnt get elected. Someone has to unmask this man’s true nature and character. Several very good journalists and bloggers have been doing this important work, a job that most media are refusing to do. Im happy to pass along what they have found. Please follow the links and read in detail. This is too important to take a more casual approach:

Another Communist in Obamas Orb, by Andrew C. McCarthy – NRO

* Heres what you need to know. Klonsky is an unabashed communist whose current mission is to spread Marxist ideology in the American classroom. Obama funded him to the tune of nearly $2 million. Obama, moreover, gave Klonsky a broad platform to broadcast his ideas: a social justice blog on the official Obama campaign website. (removed after discovery) *** To be clear, as it seems always necessary to repeat when Obamaniacs, in their best Saul Alinsky tradition, shout down the opposition: This is not about guilt by association. The issue is not that Obama knows Klonsky or Ayers or Dohrn or Wright or Rashid Khalidi *

STOCK MARKET MANIPULATION & CORRUPTION OVERWHELMING INVESTIGATORS

Posted by Jack Lee

WASHINGTON AP The Securities and Exchange Commission said Wednesday it brought 671 enforcement cases in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, with the number of market manipulation cases up more than 45 percent over the prior year. The SEC also said it has more than 50 pending investigations related to the subprime mortgage market.

Feds are currently investigating that swaps were illegally leveraged, that last minute trading was jerking the market around and causing wild last minute swings to advantage short sellers. It happened again today! Further, that the oil market was manipulated and the gold market was similarly manipulated!

As Rush Limbaugh would say in his best Kentucky Col. impersonation, “Dare’s a whole lotta manipulatin going on out dare!”

What Has Happened to A “Government of the People, by the people …” ?

By Jack Lee

This article ranks right up there in the top 10 issues I have with big government….

aguilt.jpgThomas Jefferson wrote, The government is best which governs least, and that sentiment was thematic in all of his writing about the role of government. That’s hardly the democrats party and one could argue it’s not even the republicans. Both sides have broken the faith with the people and their own founding principles. Since I happen to lean to the conservative republican side of things, I’m disheartened my party has strayed so far from it’s own professed values. Honest democrats must think the same of their party.

The two party system is now seriously broke, thus fulfilling another truism, this time spoken by our nations first president, George Washington. George thought that big political party’s would be our ruin. As he neared his resignation, George Washington wrote a letter to the nation and warned of the danger of political parties, and how they would turn the government from a group of people interested in their nation’s future to a rabble mob controlled by power hungry professional politicians.

I believe we have long ago reached a point of diminishing returns when it comes to power hungry politicians and more recently their professional counsultants/managers/staffers taking over our government and infiltrating our two big partys have had their significant impact. For all intents and purposes these crafty pro’s do not exist in 3rd party’s, not because 3rd party’s lack good ideas or leaders, but because 3rd party candidates are on the outside looking in. The have so little influence in anything political they just aren’t worth infiltrating. That’s a good thing in a way, but also very telling of the overwhelming dominance of the two main party’s that makes up the rules that keeps out the competition. Reminds me of the school yard teacher saying, “If you kids can’t play fair then you can’t play at all.”

Alright, you know who the power hungry politicians are, now let me be clear on who the [professionals] are that back them up and have the lion’s share of influence over outcome. I am talking about those consultants and staffers who have carved out long, influential and well paying careers in politics without ever being elected to anything.
