What's Next????
With my most important race of 2007 now just a fond memory, it's time to look forward to the rest of the summer/fall racing season. I'm not aware of any local triathlons, but there is a great line-up of running events and an Adventure race over the next couple of months. I am also looking into a second marathon... But not quite sure I'm ready to commit to that just yet...
Here is a listing of the local events that I will be participating in:
September 22, 2007 The Salmon Run, Oroville. A fun 5K put on by Julie Healy. She always does an awesome job with this race. I will most likely be doing this race, to give me some motivation to work on speed. I still have one goal left to achieve this year, and that is to break a 6 minute mile.
October 7, 2007 The Hot Half - the inagural event for this off-road 1/2 marathon, being put together by Chico Running Club. The race is in upper Park in Chico, and should be a great event - CRC always does a great job with their events.
October 21, 2007 Paradise Lake Adventure Race - details are still sketchy on this one, but it looks to be the same format as last year, Kayak at Paradise lake, then a mtn. bike ride and run in the hills around Paradise Lake.
November 4, 2007 - Almond Bowl - This is a classic 5/10K race, again by the Chico Running Club. My goal for this race will be to break 48 minutes.
