Martyrs

Alright, enough is enough. Every time I turn on the TV I end up having to endure through some sports star looking downcast and trod upon. With their "poor me" puppy-dog look and their slow-and-low tone they would have us believe that their lives are nothing but sacrifice and hard times. Guess what boys, you haven't sacrificed anything. Nothing. I don't know what the latest obsession is with these people trying to make everyone believe that they are martyrs of some sort but it really has to stop. These are people who make millions, if not tens of millions of dollars every year to play a game. Overall their contribution to society is almost zero. If I made that kind of money you can bet that I would spend every waking hour looking like Smiling Bob on the Enzyte commercials.
So please, boys, stop trying to act like something you're not. Life is good now. Whatever crappy life you had before you've left it behind. Smile, be happy. And can I borrow a few bucks?

What I love is that finally Britney and the Crew are starting to learn a little lesson. There's consequences to their actions. Sure it was fun when they were out getting drunk, and letting people flash pictures of their whooptie-do's but now when they want to clean up their image and go back to "wholesome and pure" the public is fed up. After all, Clam Shot Brit is a lot more fun than Purity Britney. So why should the general public smile and forgive?
Besides. When Mel and Lynsey and whoever else get DUI's and end up doing a week in a swanky rehab while the rest of us do real time and lose our jobs, the feelings of forgiveness run thin.
If Brit and the rest of them are looking at getting back into the public eye, might I suggest porn.

I don't know about porn. Did you see Brit at the MTV music awards? Yeah, neither did I. But I saw pictures on one of the news sites and she no lookie so good no more. She's starting to look like a childs discarded balloon after about two thirds of the air has seeped out. I do agree though that public sympathy for these so called "fallen stars" is waning faster than Vanilla Ice's chances of a comeback. Oh, and for that Chris dude who posted the YouTube video blog crying and sobbing about what a peach Brit is, sorry dude but them the breaks.
