My New Year's Resolution: Use less water when I shower. My plan: The "Navy shower."
1. Turn on the water
2. Immediately wet the body
3. Turn off the water
4. Soap up and scrub
5. Turn the water back on and rinse off the soap
6. Turn off the water

Happy New Year!

There is a showerhead called something like "euroshower," the name changes but the design has been on sale for twenty years without change.

This shower head is all metal, cone shaped and has a wire valve control on the showerhead. It allows you to turn the water down to a fog that will keep you warm while you soap. It also comes apart so you can clean out mineral deposits that clog it.

When using a low flow shower it is VERY IMPORTANT to use a fine wire screen in the drain to catch hair. If more than one person uses the shower this will have to be cleaned daily. Otherwise the hair and soap WILL clog your drain forcing a visit by a plumber or use of caustic agents rendering your water savings moot.

I'm not kidding about the wire screen.

Have fun with that.
