YOU HAVE SEEN THE CLAIMS …. NOW READ THE REAL TRUTH BEHIND THEM!
Raymond Royal Rife, doctor of medicine, man of science. The first man ever to cure cancer virtually single-handed! His great legacy grows despite every attempt by the AMA to discredit him as a fraud.
The original “Rife Light Machine” was (allegedly) destroyed about 70 years ago under mysterious circumstances just before it was to be unveiled for eager investors to observe ACTUALLY WORKING! However, many creative versions of it still remain and unbelievably they are in use around the world, still making money from suckers. And the fraud grows even worse on the internet.
So who was Royal Rife and what exactly did he invent?
For starters, we know Rife was no doctor, as he has claimed. Rife said he attended Johns Hopkins ( they have no record and nobody remembers him) and the University of Heidelberg, (again, no student records and nobody knew him as a student.) Rife’s real education was limited to that of a machinist as an optical instrument maker. This background allowed him to create an ingenious looking piece of equipment with a multitude of lenses and mirrors that by any measure looked quite impressive…which was the whole point! It had to look impressive to sucker people.
Rife said cancer originated from bacteria and further, that all pathogens, including the cancer causing bacteria, emanated a certain frequency. By dialing in on this unique frequency and targeting the pathogen it could be immediately neutralized. Sounds clever, right? Actually this idea was not even Rife’s, it was first hypothesized by “Dr. Albert Abrams (1864-1924), an American physician who became a millionaire and was branded by the American Medical Association the dean of gadget quacks”. His research was refined by Royal Rife and a New Mexico chiropractor, James Bare. They drew up tables giving the…”frequency of 30,000 organisms they said caused every condition from dandruff to leprosy, strokes and syphilis. AIDS, for instance, is said to be cured by a frequency of 2,489 kilohertz in as little as three three-minute sessions.”
Of course with all that we know today about the causes and cures for various illness Rife’s medical ignorance looks pathetic. But, in the 1930’s his claims were much more difficult to refute. However, despite this current knowledge the Rife legacy (and fraud) lives on in cons seeking a quick buck from their marks around the world.
Rife’s quack theory for the cause of disease was never proven in any sort of medically supervised, double blind, study and it was rejected at various times by the best medical science as absent any basis in science. However, Rife was a grand salesman. Time and again, he used his special talent for his own promotion and to overwhelm his less entertaining medical critics. Supports of Rife’s fraud were often led to believe the entire medical society must be in on a conspiracy to stop him. That’s a huge lie even for Rife, but history has proven that the big lies are often the easiest to sell because they play to our need for hope and at the same time it exploits our natural frustrations with medical science that can’t cure us.
Rife was brought to prominence back in the 1930’s, during the depression era, when he was working as a chauffeur for Timken family of the Timken Roller Bearing fortune. He devised a scam that involved faking his education and using the discredited work of another, to obtains thousands of dollars from Mrs. Timken. Allegedly, all the money went into the construction of a special microscope with the ability to focus on heretofore invisible bacterium! Rife claimed “he could see bacterium change over the course of their life. He believed that bacterium goes through 4 phases before they become what he identified as a cancer bacterium.” We have electron microscopes far more powerful than even Rife could dream up and we know beyond any doubt that “bacterium” does not exists, except in the imagination of Royal Rife.
Rife original work said cancer originated from bacteria and further, that all pathogens, including the cancer causing bacteria, emanated a certain frequency. By dialing in on this unique frequency and targeting the pathogen it could be immediately neutralized.
AIDS, for instance, is said to be cured by a frequency of 2,489 kilohertz in as little as three three-minute sessions.”
Here’s an ad taken off the internet today, “Today there are several machines using frequencies to balance out a person’s energy thus eliminating the energetic frequency of the imbalance or disease. When the frequency of the disease you have has been neutralized, the disease goes away. These machines absolutely, 100 percent allow the body to virtually cure all diseases.” is a quote from page 131 of Kevin T- – – – New York Times Bestseller “Natural Cures They Don’t Want you to Know About”.
Rife never came up with any evidence and no one since then has been able to see what he claimed he saw, but that doesn’t matter to the thousands of gullable, desperately ill people Rife was about to exploit, which makes this particular con so evil and repugnant.
Rife claimed his first machine was mysteriously vandalized just before it could yield results..imagine that? Until that so-called vandalism event, his machine was on display and it was viewed by hundreds of potential investors as Rife proclaimed it’s wonders. It was considered by all that saw it as quite impressive, just nobody except Rife actually saw it work and that’s just what he had intended all along…. as he gathered up their money.
How it actually worked was known only to Rife and this ought to be a big red flag for spotting a con-game, but desperately ill people just don’t want to hear this part. Rife teased them by openly talking about his theory of how it worked, but never once actually showing them the details. The mysterious destruction of the machine should have been one more red flag, but this actually played out fairly well for Rife, because he often found himself dealing people who bought into the great medical conspiracy theory. Rife gained a sort of “victim” status when he should have been labled a criminal, but fortunately he was eventually brought to trial and convicted for fraud.
Today, many imitators have emerged to champion Rife’s original con and reap the potentially big financial rewards with their own version of a “Rife machine” and the “testimonials” keep on mounting, adding new credibility to an old fraud. Of course with all that we know today about the causes and cures for various cancers, Rife’s medical ignorance was pathetic, but in the 1930’s his claims were much more difficult to refute. But, despite this current knowledge, the Rife legacy lives on in con’s seeking a quick buck from innocent victims….thus fulfilling P.T. Barnum’s most famous prophecy!
By the way, I have never been attacked more for any other article I’ve writen than this one. This particular article was published over a year ago and to this day I am still receiving hate mail from people who truly believe in Royal Rife and his machine. Go figure?

PS I am running an ad on ebay attempting to debunk the frauds that are listed there. Check it out if you have the time. Just use the key words Rife Machine. My ad has a starting price of .02 cents. I don’t know why eBay allows such frauds, but I guess as long as they get their commission they don’t really care about the ethics of how. Although they won’t allow any historical WWII Nazi items to be sold on their site…funny how they draw the line.
