Over the course of several months I have tried to sound alarms of warning. I have posted many articles about the political goings on in Venezuela including photo ops and talks between Hugo Chavez and Ahmadinejad. Now there is some very troubling news to report:

Yesterday, the U.S. Treasury Department confirmedoutlining ties between Venezuela and the deadly anti-American Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah. “It is extremely troubling to see the Government of Venezuela employing and providing safe harbor to Hizballah facilitators and fundraisers,” said the director of the federal Office of Foreign Assets Control, Adam Szubin. He froze the assets of a man who served until recently as a top Venezuelan diplomat in Damascus, saying the man, Ghazi Nasr al Din, “arranged the travel of Hizballah members to attend a training course in Iran.” Another Venezuela-based man, Fawzi Kan’an, “met with senior Hizballah officials in Lebanon to discuss operational issues, including possible kidnappings and terrorist attacks” and “traveled with other Hizballah members to Iran for training.” The threat from the South is gathering.
Nothing alarming or new here you say? Maybe not but I find the following story from ABC makes it seem a bit more troubling:
Intelligence agencies in the United States and Canada are warning of mounting signs that Hezbollah, backed by Iran, is poised to mount a terror attack against ”Jewish targets” somewhere outside the Middle East. Intelligence officials tell ABC News the group has activated suspected ”sleeper cells” in Canada and key operatives have been tracked moving outside the group’s Lebanon base to Canada, Europe and Africa. Officials say Hezbollah is seeking revenge for the February assassination of Hezbollah’s military commander… – ABC News
It was reported on FOX News this morning that President Bush spoke with both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in private during the primaries. He reportedly warned them to consider toning down their rhetoric about the war, bringing troops home and the continuing threat to America since they had not seen what he had seen in daily top secret briefings and reports. After 911 the President warned this war (no matter what you call it) could go on for twenty years or morehe did not lie. Our next president will have to face the same reports daily and will have the responsibility to keep our cities safe from terrorist acts.
