Barrack H. Obama: He is not his brother’s keeper!
He is the half brother to Barack Hussein Obama and he lives on barely anything in the slums outside Nairobi. Vanity Fair magazine tracked him down and did a brief interview. George Hussein Onyango Obama is 26 years old and he lives on about $1.87 per month in a hut decorated with a couple of soccer posters and a front-page newspaper article about his famous brother. The two men share the same father, also named Barack Hussein Obama. George Obama says, “No-one knows who I am. I live like a recluse, no-one knows I exist.”
Embarrassed by his own poverty, he said that he does not does not mention his rich half-brother in conversations with his friends. “If anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related. I am ashamed,” he said. Barack Obam is but a heart beat away from being President and the most powerful man in the world and his brother George Obama is a heart beat away from starvation and death in one of the worlds worst slums. Barack is one of the most famous men in the world, his brother is one of the most obscure. It is an amazing contrast on so many levels, money, culture, family values, it’s stunning to see this.
In 2006 Barack Obama reported assets of about $1.1 million. He and his wife had a total income of $984,000 in 2006, including $567,000 in royalties for two books he has written. In 2005, Obama received a $1.9 million book advance. In 2006 George Obama lived quiety in a 9 X 12″ hut made of cardboard and wood scraps. Barack spent more on one lunch than George made all year.
Recently Barack Obama introduced a bill called the “Global Poverty Act” that will force the transfer of billions of your tax dollars for foreign charity. Some now might question Barack’s sincerity about combating global poverty since it’s right in his own family and he’s done nothing to help. This begs the question which has yet to be asked by the media, why have you abandoned your half-brother to live in the slums on less than $24 dollars a year? Couldn’t you spare a little change from one of your book deals to help this man survive? What kind of family values do you have anyway ? How can you talk about fighting global poverty and let your own brother live starving in a slum?
If you have a relative living this way wouldn’t you help, especially if you were worth over a million bucks?
Now listen to this teary little speech by Barack Obama on poverty…”It’s been four decades since Bobby Kennedy crouched in a shack along the Mississippi Delta and looked into the wide, listless eyes of a hungry child. Again and again he tried to talk to this child, but each time his efforts were met with only a blank stare of desperation. And when Kennedy turned to the reporters traveling with him, with tears in his eyes he asked a single question about poverty in America:
“How can a country like this allow it?”
How indeed Mr. Obama, tell us how you allow your own brother to suffer in abject poverty while you amke speeches about saving the poor? What do you say to George, “You just keep right on hoping for change?” Maybe you want us to cough up some of our cash to help your brother out? Ok, … but, you first!
Do the words in Obama’s poverty speech ring a little hollow now that you know about his brother? Has Baracks family situation left you wondering about his sincerity? Do you suspect maybe that he just wants to make grand gestures, but really doesn’t have a caring bone in his body? For you liberals that have been so captivated by this man maybe it’s about time to catch your breath and think…think that [possibly] you have been manipulated? Hmmmm? Maybe you better ask yourself, is Barack just another hardcore politician willing to say or do whatever it takes to win?
Look at the situation of George Hussein Obama’s and you tell me about Barack Hussein Obama’s humanity and love for the poor in the world! He speaks of hope…where is George Obam’s HOPE? Is this the kind of “hope and change” we can all expect under Barack Obama’s administration?
How you can still trust this man when his actions within his own family fall so far short of his public words?
