By now everybody has heard that Democrat Barack Obama said something about a pig in lipstick is still a pig and this was offensive to the McCain campaign because it was taken as an inference against Palin. Specifically because of her comments where she said the difference between herself as a hockey mom and a pitbull is
lipstick. And 6 months ago John McCain used a similar phrase to discribe Hillary Clinton’s policies. He said, “They put some lipstick on the pig, but it’s still a pig.” Obama should have been more clever than to attach himself to any phrase with lipstick in it, this was dumb. But, was it enough to cry foul, to act injured and offended as if he called Mrs. Palin a pig? In an election people go looking for any excuse they can to get a headline, even if it means picking a fight over nothing and I think our side should be better than that. Palin and McCain got a great convention boost, they don’t need to resort to this kind of game, even though their handlers say yes you really do. No they really don’t. We the voters don’t like it.
