War News Where Is It?

Is it me or has the war pretty much fallen off the pages and screens of the popular media machine? Where are the articles about bombings and death? What ever happened to the stories of protests and the silly elderly pink ladies? Where is the outrage that the troops aren’t coming home and where is the unbridled anger at this mini W War Monger? In short, what the H is going on?

WellMr. Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch has an idea or two about what is going on, at least in the world of “O”, and it ain’t pretty. As for the reporting? Heck…you and I both knew it wouldn’t happenread on

Obama Busily Appeasing Jihadists, by Robert Spencer Human Events

** To the Muslim world, said Barack Obama in his Inaugural Address, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. After 100 days, hows that going? *** Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad summed it up best, responding contemptuously to Obamas offer to sit down to talk without preconditions and taunting Obama for his impotence: We say to you that you yourselves know that you are today in a position of weakness. Your hands are empty, and you can no longer promote your affairs from a position of strength. **

Bending over backwards is an unlovely headline for the “imagine” crowd. Covering the war is both boring and old…now that we have a rock star to cover! (We must be mindfull of our priorities.) All those troubles in the Middle East aren’t really such a big problem now anyway…my man…he’s got it covered! Besides…think of it…one day in the not too distant future we can all say…”I was there, man…I was there.” (swoon)

And they’ll mean it!
