Our Wonderful Allies the Pakistani’s

by Jack

It was a national embarrassment when we secretly entered Pakistan and took out bin Laden who was living comfortably in an upscale neighborhood near Pakistan’s Officer Candidate School and a police station. Well, they should be embarrassed, but more loathsome to us was their outrage over bin Laden’s death that many Pakistani’s worshiped as a hero.

The government’s response to this hero worship and humiliation was to arrest all those who may have helped the American’s kill bin Laden. For instance the poor guy who rented a home to the American surveillance team near Osama’s fortress-mansion was arrested and so was several others who provided information on bin Laden for no other reason than they provided help to Americans! But, no one, not one, who helped this mass murderer setup camp and lived in luxury for the last 3 years near Pakistan’s capital, has been arrested, nor has there been any protesting for their arrests. And to drive home the point whose side the Paki’s are really on, they booted out our special forces personnel who were assisting in training Pakistan’s counter-terrorism soldiers.

As all this came down in the last few days our president should have taken to the podium with a terse response and a warning: He should have immediately declared that no more foreign aide money will be given to Pakistan. Further, that they are no longer considered an ally in the war on terrorism.

He then should have also said something to the effect, that since they have shown a pattern of conduct that is not in the interests of our national security or global peace and that Pakistan has become a safe haven for some of the world’s worst terrorists, we reserve the right to take whatever military action we deem necessary against those terrorists with or without Pakistan’s permission. And this should have come with a warning, any attempt by Pakistan to intervene will be deemed an act of aggression and we will deal with that as we feel appropriate. We should have then cut off all diplomatic relations, booted out their embassy people and withdrawn ours from Pakistan.

This would have been the right thing to do. This would have been the straight forward, clear and courageous thing to do, but Obama is having trouble figuring this out. He’s confused and mulling over his options. So, while he thinks about it, your tax dollars are still flowing to that corrupt cesspool of a country where 3/4ths of the population hate us.

One Response to Our Wonderful Allies the Pakistani’s

  1. Libby says:

Didn’t you year? On Panetta’s last trip to “mend relations”, he waives under the ISI chief’s nose satellite photos of militant bomb makers clearing out of locations the CIA gave to the ISI 24 hours previously.

That had to be humiliating. So they’ve made they’re retailiatory gesture with with the informant arrests. I feel for that poor major: I’ll bet they beat on him.

However, they’ve been told to shape up or there will be consequences. If they don’t shape up, our rowdy Congress probably will cut off their funding … and they know that too.

This will do … for the time being.

What we’re now waiting for are the arrests of the ISI personnel who colluded in the establishment of Osama’s little hideaway. As these personnels are probably rather highly placed, I don’t think we are going to see it next week. We can be patient for a bit longer.
