Yes we could, but first we have to listen, then learn not to coddle or condone.

Americas welfare, mental health system and other public social systems have failed those who because of our own fault have learned that contributing is not necessary.

Far better results occur and serves people of any need more effectively, when offered the opportunity to be of an self reliant nature and less dependent on those who(many non profit specifically) just warehouse them.

With the correct incentives and understanding, I do believe anyone but the deepest troubled, could and would positively learn the value and rewards of productivity.

What should be really awaking to America and our Government is the positive nature of the people working in the video, especially when compared to the generation of able bodied homeless America has created.

Jack it’s a wonderful video. What a great way to give these able bodied people a place to learn a skill and serve their country at the same time!

I understand that Israel is seeing orthodox Jews signing up to serve now, something they haven’t done before. They are feeling vulnerable and coming together both as a people and a a nation.

We SHOULD learn from this. Our military is the largest educational system in the world that provides training for all types of jobs and professions once service is completed.

Besides offering training to those with special needs I’d like to see it expanded to those who are receiving government assistance too. Clerical, mechanical, medical training are just a few of the vocations taught with higher degrees available to those who wish to further their career options.

It’s a win, win. Our country benefits and when jobs become plentiful again we’ll have a trained workforce.
