India Elects Conservative Free Market Anti-Jihad Leader Narendra Modi

The conservative BJP party in India has won a stunning victory that includes Narendra Modi elected as Prime Minister and majority control in India’s Parliament. Mr. Modi was elected following his very successful term as Governor of the state of Gujara where he implemented positive economic reforms.

Our media has been somewhat silent about this change in leadership for Inda, perhaps because it presents a challenge for the Obama administration:

…the Obama administration will soon be forced to back-peddle and deal with a man it has barred from receiving a visa to visit the United States. … The American visa ban was based on unproven allegations that Modi was somehow implicated in a riot of Hindus, responding to Muslim violence. Now that he will be the head of state, there is no question but that the Obama administration will retreat from its unfounded ban.

The British left newspaper “Guardian” is splashing negative headlines claiming that Modi “bludgeoned’ his way to power. Those so-called peace loving lefties sure have the violent vocabulary down pat don’t they? Meanwhile the Russian government controlled media seems to be anticipating a continued snubbing from the Obama administration which they hope might push India toward alliances and trade agreements with both Russia and China.

Time will tell. Meanwhile the people of India will get an economic boost that the people sorely need. As for Modi, he’s already made clear his intention to lead:

“The age of divisive politics has ended, from today onwards the politics of uniting people will begin,” Modi said. “We want more strength for the wellbeing of the country … I see a glorious and prosperous India.”

“I want to take all of you with me to take this country forward… it is my responsibility to take all of you with me to run this country,” he added.

I wish PM-elect Modi and the Indian people well.

  1. Post Scripts says:

The economy is in India is growing faster than ours and they are loaded with red tap. What does that say about us?
