Lois Lerner in Contempt of Congress – IRS to Turn Over All Emails

Posted by Tina

Wednesday night the House voted 231-178 to hold former IRS official Lois Lerner in criminal contempt of Congress. Less than 24 hours later the IRS agreed to send all of Ms Lerner’s emails to one of the committees looking into the IRS targeting scandal. The House Ways and Means committee referred the case to the Justice Department in April claiming she ‘used her position to improperly influence agency action against only conservative organizations, denying these groups due process and equal protection rights under the law.’

If convicted Lerner could face a year in jail and up to $100,000 fine.

Ken Klukowski of Breitbart explains the authority Speaker Boehner has to arrest Lois Lerner:

The Supreme Court upheld the authority of the House or Senate sergeant at arms to arrest and incarcerate someone held in contempt of Congress in its 1927 case McGrain v. Daugherty. So without a doubt Boehner could issue a warrant for Lerner’s arrest, and Irving has the authority to put her in handcuffs and frog-march her into a police car to take her to the Capitol, where she could sit behind bars

The case has been referred to U.S. Attorney Ronald Machen who previously refused to prosecute a contempt case against his boss Attorney General Holder. Will the emails reveal evidence that will be difficult to ignore? We’ll see. Tick, tick, tick….

Tick, tick, tick is right. Let’s see how long they slow walk releasing the emails. Six months to two years is my bet.

Such hypocrites. Yammering on about how these hearing shouldn’t go forward when it has been a favorite game of theirs since Watergate. What they did to Clarence Thomas and his wife alone deserves justice.

The pressure is great: if they delay it won’t look good before the elections; if they turn them over there might be something awful discovered with only 6 months to go before we vote.

I have to say it. They earned these multiple hearings by serving as politico’s and ideologues rather than public servants. They deserve this for the decades of dirty political hearings games they have played. They deserve this and more! The Democrat Party radicals of the sixties generation are against just about everything that makes America America…I hope they fry in terms of public opinion and we can be rid of them for decades.

And yes Chris and Dewey, I’ve waited years to see them squirming and exposed. Their chickens are coming home to roost.

Lois Lerner isn’t the only contemptible person in this administration.

If you haven’t seen this you all will love it. Well, except for Chris and Dewey.

The Campaigner in Chief earned FOUR Pinocchio’s for his latest lies.

‘On Just About Every Level, This Claim is Ridiculous’ – Washington Post Fact-Checker Nails Obama On Absurd Lie:

“Obama is already competing for “Lie of the Year” with a recent claim he made during a fund-raising dinner that is being demolished by the Washington Post fact-checker. Here’s his comment:

“Here’s what’s more disconcerting. Their [Republicans’] willingness to say no to everything — the fact that since 2007, they have filibustered about 500 pieces of legislation that would help the middle class just gives you a sense of how opposed they are to any progress — has actually led to an increase in cynicism and discouragement among the people who were counting on us to fight for them.”

Either Obama is using some sort of hyper-advanced Common Core math, or he’s lying. Okay, he’s lying.

Indeed, when you go through the numbers, there have just been 133 successful filibusters — meaning a final vote could not take place — since 2007.

Wow, you mean President Harvard was off by nearly four times what the actual number is? Now, why would he do that? Oh, right – after failing terribly with foreign and domestic policies, Democrats’ only hope this midterm is to paint Republicans as being obstructionist and extremists. If only they were!

    Here’s WaPo’s final judgement:

On just about every level, this claim is ridiculous.

We realize that Senate rules are complex and difficult to understand, but the president did serve in the Senate and should be familiar with its terms and procedures. Looking at the numbers, he might have been able to make a case that Republicans have blocked about 50 bills that he had wanted passed, such as an increase in the minimum wage. But instead, he inflated the numbers to such an extent that he even included votes in which he, as senator, supported a filibuster.

And for that, Obama earns their highest deception rating- “four Pinocchios”- to add to his already expansive collection of long-nosed trophies for lying.”

Yup, our Campaigner in Chief is up to his usual games of lying to the voters to con them for this November and the 2016 elections.

The other day when this story broke, it was reported, it could take 6-8 weeks for them to turn over the emails. I would like to know why? What are the odds her pardon is already inked and sitting in Dufus’s top drawer along with 6000 others? Obama is a world class criminal/scumbag why wouldn’t he do it?

  9. Tina says:

Something that makes this lie even more outrageous is the lie that Republicans “don’t care” about jobs and people struggling. There are over forty bills that Republicans passed since taking the House that would help our economy and the jobs situation and all have been blocked by Harry Reid and the Democrats in the Senate…Harry won’t even allow discussion much less a vote! Harry is the one saying, “No, no, and no!”

    Huffington Post quotes the President:

“Their willingness to say no to everything — the fact that since 2007, they have filibustered about 500 pieces of legislation that would help the middle class just gives you a sense of how opposed they are to any progress — has actually led to an increase in cynicism and discouragement among the people who were counting on us to fight for them…”The conclusion is, well, nothing works,” Obama continued. “And the problem is, is that for the folks worth fighting for — for the person who’s cleaning up that house or hotel, for the guy who used to work on construction but now has been laid off — they need us. Not because they want a handout, but because they know that government can serve an important function in unleashing the power of our private sector.”

“The folks worth fighting for?” Isn’t all of America the Presidents concern? Isn’t he the leader of the nation and not just “those worth fighting for?”

And now all of a sudden he sees that government’s “function” is “unleashing the power” of the “private sector.” and tries to say with a straight face that it will take electing Democrats to help Washington “break out”.

He and the Democrats had absolute power to do something about the economy and jobs and they chose instead to give more handouts by extending unemployment benefits instead. they chose to spend all their time creating the dysfunctional healthcare bill. Obama claimed shovel ready jobs would put people back to work so he spent money…his plan didn’t work.

So for the President to go out to Hollywood and talk this trash to a bunch of wealthy dim bulbs in Hollywood just to rip a bunch of cash from their tight fists is a complete lie and a joke.

Sorry for the confusion, LOL. “Epic fail”

  11. Peggy says:

Dewey: “Which bill did you want passed the most Peggy?”

Hum, Dewzer that’s a hard one with sooooo many sitting on Dirty Harry’s desk that have prevented the creation of jobs, which has kept and added millions more to government assistance and, therefore, on the Democrat’s party voter base.

One can only speculate why Dirty Harry, “The Do Nothing for the Economy King” doesn’t want people going back to work where they won’t need the government to put food on their tables and pay the rent. But, anyone who really wants a better life for themselves and their children should be able to figure out his true motives.

I guess if I had to pick one bill it would be the Keystone pipe line. It would create jobs to build, maintain and operate. Plus, it would cut down on the pollutants to the environment with the reduced number of trains and trucks currently hauling the oil across the country.

The three recent train accidents where people were killed in Canada, and while no one was killed in Virginia it sent huge plums of smoke into the air, forcing the evacuation of the town and spilled oil into the river.

Regulations are being talked about to upgrade oil haulers to meet new safety requirements and prior notification to towns when oil products are transported through.

No one has been killed from any pipeline operation related accident and the reduction in pollutants would be good for the environment.

The major obstacle for this bill getting off of Dirty Harry’s desk is Obama’s big money supporting friend Warren Buffet, who’s a major player in hauling all of that oil by train and trucks.

And we can’t forget billionaire green investor Tom Steyer and his promised hundred millions to Democrat candidates to keep the pipeline from being built.

Yes, Dewzer cronyism is very much alive and well in the DNC, and the ACA just gave them a lifeline of voters to keep them in power getting richer while throwing crumbs at the beggars with their hands out in exchange votes.

So, bottom line Dewzer I’d say the energy bill would create the most jobs right now and help to bring down the cost of food and other necessities we all need to survive.

Been to the grocery store lately and seen the cost of all meets? Very few can afford a nice steak any more and even chicken and pork have gone sky high. Everyone’s going to be suffering from bacon withdrawal when their freezer supply runs out.

My major concern with the investigations going on with the IRS/Lerner and Benghazi is the Republicans will take their time away from the economy and jobs, which are of upmost important to the people and not take control of the Senate this November. Dirty Harry needs to be removed allowing the stacked up bills on his desk to move forward to the Senate floor. If Obama wants to veto them, let him so the people will see that Harry has been doing Obama’s bidding and they’re the reason the economy hasn’t turned around.

The Dems are masters at following Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals by overwhelming the system and misdirection. Keeping everyone focused on multiple issues while they move their socialist agenda forward robbing us of our liberties and freedom.

  12. Tina says:

Three other bills that sit on Harry’s desk:

H.R. 803 – to help more American workers gain the skills and education necessary to compete for in-demand jobs

H.R. 761 – to facilitate the development of strategic and critical minerals used to support American manufacturing jobs.

H.R. 2481 – to provide our service members with tools that will help them find good jobs when they return home.

  13. Peggy says:

Oh Dewzer, Look what I found. Proof the Democrats sink to an all time low and are the biggest hypocrites. Using deadly tragedies to raise campaign funds. Now that’s sick!

Oh Look, Here are 5 Tragedies Democrats Used to Fundraise for Their Political Campaigns:

“One of the more hypocritical attacks on Republicans trying to find answers about Benghazi is the accusation that it’s merely a fundraising campaign.

Of course, Democrats would never use a tragedy to raise funds from the American people, right?

    1. The Sandy Hook Child Shootings

Obama’s team must have been struck with amnesia after winning in 2012, because they “accidentally” demanded money from Americans more than once after the terrible Sandy Hook shootings.”
