Reid is Losing It: Wants Constitutional Amendment to “Stop the Koch Brothers”

Posted by Tina

Harry Reid is a desperate man. He’s vowed to “force multiple votes if necessary” to pass legislation to set strict limits on campaign contributions. Citing the “sewer” of modern campaigns (he should know) and “unregulated money” Reid zealotry seems to be fueled by his hatred for the Koch brothers:

“It’s been tried before, we should continue to push this and it should become our issue. That really puts the Koch brothers up against it. We believe and I believe that there should be spending limits. We’re going to push a constitutional amendment so we can limit spending because what is going on today is awful,” Reid vowed, indicating that he’ll bring Udall’s measure to the Senate floor soon.

“We’re going to arrange a vote on it. We’re going to do it until we pass it because that’s the salvation of our country.”

Reid’s legendary feisty streak was also on display during the interview, dismissing criticism from both the left and right for his focus on the Koch Brothers, as well as his recent positive comments about casino magnate Sheldon Adeleson.

Reid represents a party that has benefited greatly from the hefty contributions and investments of billionaire George Soros, large banks and corporations, and powerful unions. I guess he can’t stand a little competition. Funny, though, how mean, nasty, and desperate he’s sounding! Could it be the extremely low popularity rating?

Does it occur to Reid that using the power of government to block the free expression of citizens during elections is a heinous abuse of power?

Doubt it. Abuse of power seems to be the number one tactic in the Democrat Party playbook these days.

    I love Harry Reid.

  2. J. Soden says:

He started out as Harry, graduated to Dingy Harry, to Dirty Harry and then to Dirty & Disgusting Harry.

Reid is now eligible to rent out the empty space between his ears.

Poor man may be losing it. I sure wish he wasn’t a Harry, though, since I do enjoy the “Dirty Harry” movies.

  4. Peggy says:

Between him, Pelosi and Boxer they could rent out enough space to house a couple of hundred bats (in their belfries)

What was the name of that big donor who’d give $100 million to candidates who opposed the Keystone pipeline? Styles or something like that, I believe.

    Such hypocrites!!

Introducing the future Leader of the Senate.

17-Yr-Old Girl Who Wants to Actually Represent the People Just Unseated a Politician in W. Virginia:

“Saira Blair, who just unseated an incumbent West Virginia state legislator, isn’t thinking about her plans for the summer. She’s thinking about how to defeat Democrat Layne Diehl come November. Because if Saira wins, it will make her the youngest legislator in West Virginia’s history- she’s just 17 years old.

Blair narrowly edged-out the incumbent, Republican state Delegate Larry Klump, by 144 votes. She campaigned on a straightforward platform:
    ◾Pro-life
    ◾Pro-gun
    ◾Pro-family
    ◾Pro-business
    ◾Pro-jobs

Blair even gave out her cell phone number to any potential constituents who might want to ask her questions. In addition, Blair has pledged to run only a positive campaign.”

Dewey…such generalities! Nobody is running us…no-body! As for the money, okay, it’s a corrupting influence…we agree. But, all parties must be restricted in an equal and fair manner and so far neither of the two big parties has come up with a solution. Thus, the money problem continues. Dewey instead of attacking the messengers as you so often do, why not tell us what your thoughts are on campaign finance reform?

    RE#6 Peggy:

    Saira Blair…you go girl!

There will be a learning curve for this young lady but it’s amusing to think about hard-boiled and corrupt leaders attempting to play her in their practiced fashion. It definitely won’t be business as usual.

  8. Tina says:

Dewey the thing I notice about your ideas to solve the so-called money problem in politics is that they are all about controlling, restricting, and limiting speech and expression.

They do that in tyrannical countries where the powerful end up with even more control. No thanks.

We don’t have a money problem; we have a morality problem and it isn’t just the politicians or wealthy donors that have this problem.

We also have an education problem. Our citizens need a stronger sense of their heritage as Americans. Students need to be given a better grasp of US history and civics.

Also it wouldn’t hurt if some of the well known political machines could be broken up. Good luck with that one…most are tied up with criminal elements.

Bernie Sanders has major ties to the type of union machines that have bankrupted cities and states around the country and conspired with organizations like ACORN.

The problem for politicians like Bernie and the big union cash that gets them elected is that they no longer enjoy the advantage of having union money. Now they must compete on an open and level field.

The Saul Alinsky targeting of the Kochs is a sham, especially when you consider all of the deep pocket unions, the 1%ers and the billionaire donors that have always filled the coffers of the Democrat Party and politicians like Bernie Sanders.

The 5 top contributors to Sanders in the 2009-2014 cycle are the SEIU, American Assn for Justice, National Education Assn, American Crystal Sugar, and American Fedn of St/Cnty/Munic Employees.
