Please invite or forward this email anybody you know who enjoys the Lassen forests we recreate in, who enjoys or lives in the Butte Meadows/Jonesville area or is involved in the Boy Scouts, Sheriffs Posse, and other forest using groups. Understanding these new rules will help you obey the rules and avoid hefty fines.

Some Questions that need to be asked:

1. Will the Sherriff Posse Bandit Chase be able to continue with these new horse riding rules- how will it effect horse back riding in general ?
2. Will the Boy Scouts at Camp Lassen be able to continue Horse back rides into the back country? What other pending rules are about to be applied?
3. Boy Scouts National had added ATV programs – will this be stopped in the Lassen Forest and ending a possible program at Camp Lassen? http://www.mudbog.net/forum/f131/boy-scouts-america-adds-atv-program-gets-great-results-34764/
4. Can you legally drive up to Humboldt Summit, park in the traditional parking area to view the panoramic view IN A CAR?Where and how can you park you car under the new rules in Lassen Forest?
5. Can a ATV be driven up to the Forest Service lookout?
6. Can an ATV be driven on a county road into Forest Service property even if allowed to do so by the county under mixed use on a county maintained road?
7. In areas of Lassen it is claimed there are over a hundred miles of roads you can drive your ATV. Can you drive more than 20 miles, 15 miles, 10 miles, 5 miles, 3 miles or less than 1 mile in any stretch and can you legally access these approved roads per the new parking regulations?
8. Is it true that many of these ATV accessible roads maybe less than 100 yards in length with no access?
9. What pending rules are being considered for bicycles in the National Forest?
10. Is the National Forest system becoming more user friendly or trying to lock the tax payers out with to many rules, fines and road closures?
