The Big Bad-We’re Doomed if We Don’t Pay Attention

Long before radio, television and movies the big bad wolf was story was told to alert children of the dangers in life. Parents knew the world was a place fraught with danger and deception and used such stories to prepare and teach their children. The wolf tells us to be aware…to verify the truth about a friendly looking face…to ask, is this friendly person authentic or should I be wary or suspicious. To question motivation and intent and to truthfully acknowledge a threat.

Those who work in intelligence are paid to put their big bad wolf detector skills on high alert. Research groups dig into material to discover motive and intent in items of concern. The work is arduous and necessary if our government is going to adequately protect and defend this nation.

The Blaze reports on a troubling document found in a raid in 2001:

A 2001 raid in Switzerland unearthed a chilling manifesto now dubbed “The Project,” a detailed Islamic blueprint for infiltrating, subverting and ultimately defeating the U.S. and the West. Today, 80 file boxes worth of evidence submitted during the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial — the largest terror financing trial in U.S. history to date — including “The Project” documents, are being withheld from the American public by the Department of Justice.

On Wednesday, September 26, TheBlaze documentary unit released the first installment of this chilling two-part series outlining how the current administration has stonewalled repeated requests by Congress to release the disturbing documents and for allowing the Muslim Brotherhood greater entree into American government. Further the documentary reveals just how close American-Islamic operatives from groups such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) have been to subverting the U.S. and Israel.

The video below is a portion of a documentary about these documents, the Holy Land Foundation Trial, and the threat “The Project” poses to our nation. From the article at The Blaze:

To place the Islamic threat in its proper context, the documentary notes how the Communist Manifesto, by all means nothing more than a minuscule pamphlet, became the greatest “life and death threaten to the Western world” until 1990. Likewise, Hitler’s book Mein Kampf (which, ironically means “my struggle,” the same as “jihad”) provided key insight into the fhrer’s political ideology and goals of world domination long before he put his “Final Solution” into effect.

It’s very easy to be dismissive of this information and those who have put their big bad wolf detectors on high alert. It’s easy to pretend that the threat from jihadists is overstated. After all, it is argued, most Muslims are not dangerous. They are good people who gentle and sweet. While this is true it is also important to remember that it was easy for the German people to be dismissive of those who warned that Hitler was a lunatic. the German people were dismissive but they were also blind…in the end it turned out they should have been paying attention to what wasn’t pleasant and nice. They should have heeded the warnings. Watch and learn from history:

California Proposition 30 – The $50B Tax Hike

by Jack Lee

UPDATE: Also before the voters is Measure E, “Shall the voters authorize the sale of $78,000,000 in general obligation bonds for a Local Chico School Facility Improvement Measure?” Whole lotta spendin goin on…

6837-CAkids-thumb-278x181-6836.jpg

The Howard Jarvis folks, Assemblyman Dan Logue and George Runner, State Board of Equalization, were in Chico recently to discuss the new fire tax and our Statewide propositions coming up in Nov. and I thought this would be a good time to do a follow up on those conversations while its still fresh in my mind.

As you know, we’ve got 6 of propositions to consider and they’re all very serious and will directly impact our lives financially, so let’s take a look at just one for now and really get into it, then we’ll pick up the others later.

Before we dig, we should briefly touch on the political climate or backdrop facing the propositions. California is a state in decline, suffering from the Great Recession and this is compounded by poor leadership. This part is seen in wasteful allocations of state revenues, layers of red tape for businesses, and a failure to address our massive bureaucracy with all it’s lavish salaries and unsustainable pension benefits. California is a victim of it’s progressives in power, this is a man-made disaster that is forcing out businesses and jobs.

The polling says people have no confidence in our legislature, and we gave legislators the lowest rating in our history, just a little over 12% approval. Revolutions have started with better numbers than that! Is it any surprise that that not one tax increase put before the people has been approved since 2006?

Household Incomes Down in Obama Economy – Polls Indicate You Love It! Don’t Be Fooled

Posted by Tina

Americans have seen their income go down 8% since the end of the recession in February of 2009.

That means that President Obama’s economic policies to improve the economy have failed to cause an economic recovery. It means his policies have damaged the economy and ruined the household finances of most middle class Americans:

The average inflation-adjusted income for households in the middle 20% is now lower than it’s been since 1995, the census report found.

Meanwhile, another report released Tuesday finds that per-capita health costs jumped 4.6% last year, marking a turnaround from previous years, which had seen annual cost increases moderating. The Health Care Cost Institute report found that rising prices are a “major driver” of the cost increases.

And a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released this month found that the number of uninsured climbed 1 million in the first three months of 2012 compared with last year.

Other bad signs: The number of people on food stamps is up more than 220,000 in the first half of this year and up almost 12 million — or 34% — from June 2009 to June 2012.
The number of people in the labor force has fallen more than half a million in the past two months, with the participation rate down to 63.5%, a rate not seen in the past 30 years, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Almost 83,000 signed up for federal disability benefits in September, and more than 736,000 have joined in the first nine months of this year, according to the Social Security Administration. That’s a higher enrollment rate than the first nine months of the Obama presidency.

Yet the polls out today suggest that Americans trust the celebrity President more than they trust a businessman with a successful track record for turning failing businesses around and making them profitable! Apparently empty promises are enough to satisfy most voters!

OR…..

Pollsters are skewing polls to prop up the President in an atmosphere of growing disappointment and despair. It means that the media is rooting for Obama and attempting to discourage turn out for Romney.

Why is Higher Education So Expensive?

by Tina Grazier

I was musing about profits and shaking my head over those who believe that healthcare providers should be “non profit” and it occurred to me, should the same thinking be applied to higher education?

Think about it! Our nation will become a backward, barbarian, third world disaster if we fail to provide our posterity with affordable quality higher education. You could even say citizens have a “right” to a first class education…right? Shouldn’t educators, therefore, be required to be non-profit? Let’s see…if we regulate their pay and benefits with caps, regulate their housing, vacation, auto, and entertainment allotments, and if we force them to spend more time in the classroom….

Let Them Eat Cake!

In Wisconsin, high school athletes are complaining about not getting enough to eat each day, due to the skimpy new school lunch menu mandated by the United States Department of Agriculture and First Lady Michelle Obama.

The story we published earlier this week on that subject is unfortunately not unique. Students across the country are complaining about the new school lunch regulations.

Perhaps the real motive is to starve students into slimming down. Just ask students in Pierre, South Dakota who, too, are in an all-out revolt.

“I know a lot of my friends who are just drinking a jug of milk for their lunch. And they are not getting a proper meal,” middle school student Samantha Gortmaker told Keloland.com.

America Needs Romney’s Five Point Plan for Jobs and a Better Economy

6818-Romney campaign.jpg

by Tina Grazier

Presidential contender Mitt Romney has a plan to fix the miserable non-recovery of the past three years under President Obama.

His stump speeches have included these plans. Unfortunately, most Americans don’t hear much about them. Our media prefers to focus on issues of class warfare or unreleased tax returns. This gives the President a clear advantage except for one important point. The American people do know from their everyday experiences that our economy is in bad shape and we need new leadership to get America back on her feet once again.

According to economists the recession ended in February of 2009 about the same time that President Obama’s budget and spending policies began to have an effect. Since that date the economy has sputtered, we have acquired trillions more in debt, millions more are unemployed, prices are up on groceries and other goods, our dollar is devalued, our nation has been downgraded, even more American jobs have been shipped to China…and American businesses are frozen or failing. The best that can be said for our stock market is that the bears are having a good long run as a shallow market bumps along the bottom on narrow trading. See also here.

Barrack Obama’s unfriendly business atmosphere cries out for change…but we need change we can count on!

Camp Bastion Attack Significant and Underreported

Posted by Tina

Our Marines took a significant hit on Friday and we barely noticed. Joh Hudson of The Atlantic Wire:

The Taliban attack on an air base in southern Afghanistan on Friday drew coverage for the way the insurgents cloaked themselves in U.S. army uniforms to gain a tactical advantage, but few have taken note of the historical proportions of the damage inflicted. John Gresham, at the Defense Media Network, has published a detailed account of the attack on Camp Bastion, in which two Marines were killed, six U.S. Marine Corps jet fighters were destroyed, and two more “significantly” damaged. Those facts were all carried in most reports, but if that just sounds like a typical damage report from a decade-long war, you’re wrong. Gresham explains the devastating damage done to VMA-211, the name of the Marine Corps attack squadron that was most affected last week, noting that it is “arguably the worst day in [U.S. Marine Corps] aviation history since the Tet Offensive of 1968.” Or you could go back even further. “The last time VMA-211 was combat ineffective was in December 1941, when the squadron was wiped out during the 13-day defense of Wake Island against the Japanese.” (continues-video)

As I read this story I kept thinking about the news reels and reporting on the Korean war and during WWII. I’m dismayed by how journalism has changed. The media today seems as disinterested as the Commander-in-Chief. They are protective of a White House more interested in hanging out with celebrities and campaigning than in conducting the duties of his office.

As if the losses of our servicemen and the ambassador weren’t enough in one week we now learn we’ve also lost a significant part of our air power. It took this administration nine days to admit the hit on our embassy was a terror attack. Administration spokespersons seemed more interested in the political message than informing the American people.

Defense cuts are scheduled for January 1st that could result in 120,000 people losing their jobs. Defense cuts at a time when the war has taken such a deadly and disastrous turn seems ill-advised.

We need a Commander-in-Chief that has a better work ethic and a better sense of responsibility to the men and women that sacrifice and serve this nation to keep us free.

What Would Lincoln Do?

by Jack

When Fort Sumter was attacked on April 12, 1861, the battle raged for 3 days and nights until the fort fell into rebel hands. Lincoln was a new president, untested in crisis, but he had a clear vision of what his duty was, for it was spelled out in his oath of office. He understood he must protect the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic. Therefore, he took the position that the attack on Fort Sumter was an attack on the United States and an act of war.

And Congress did declare war on the 27th against South Carolina and those Southern states that seceded from the union. Lincoln agonized over the deaths from war for 4 long years, until he thought it would lead to his own death. People who knew him said Lincoln appeared to age 20 years during the war, yet he stayed the course and never wavered. Appeasement was never a consideration – an apology never an option.

Can you imagine Lincoln calling for a Congressional commission to look into the the attack on Ft. Sumter while showing some sympathy for Southern extremists anger? Do you think that the civil war might have been averted if he took Obama’s approach? Or do you think the South would have become even more embolden and would have had more time to weaken the North and to be better prepared in the South when the war they sought finally came?

In 1904 the kidnapping of an American businessman (Lon Perdicaris and his stepson) were taken from their home in Tangiers by the pirate Raisuli and held for $70,000 ransom along with other demands. President Roosevelt (a progressive) sent seven battleships to Morocco and a message: “This government wants Perdicaris alive or Raisuli dead.” Perdicaris was released in a few days.

Presidents of the past knew their duty and had a clear vision of America’s place in the world. Acts of aggression against America and American interests were never deflected, they were responded to swiftly, forcefully and yes, painfully, when absolutely necessary.

What would Lincoln do if American embassies were attacked on his watch and our Ambassador was killed along with other American personnel?

I’m pretty sure that at the very least President Lincoln would have served notice on the world, that if any government, of any nation, fails to take action to protect the U.S. Embassy and its personnel from harm, it will be held responsible and in a case of gross acts of aggression, where their soldiers actually aided the attackers, it would be deemed an act of war! But, Lincoln would also have been smart enough not to locate unprotected American Embassies in uncivilized, unfriendly nations, where such attacks would be inevitable.

Deception, Lies, Corruption and Revolution

Posted by Tina

I highly recommend the following movie that details the background of our President and suggest the authentic roots that made him who he is and define his true purpose.

The movie is a timeline that illuminates the Presidents real history and explains the grounding in his candidacy of 2008: hope, change, and the vow to fundamentally transform America. The fantasy biography presented as pablum to an enthusiastic and trusting electorate melts away as the reality of a more shady background evolves into radical and corrupt associations and deception and lies. The truth about our President’s past will not surprise you once the elements are all tied together. This movie will invoke both anger and disgust but it will also make you sad. Ultimately I hope it affirms in you a strong resolve to defeat the man who would transform America.

If you have the courage, and if you care about your country and our freedom, you will want to give this film (movie length) some of your valuable time.

Information about Obama was deliberately withheld from the American people.

Had there been news outlets during the 2008 election with a commitment to journalistic integrity, not to mention loyalty to America, the information contained in this video would have been widely disseminated. The American people were instead duped and the decades old Marxist plan to undermine our Republic won it’s greatest triumph.

Under Barack Obama the middle class in America has been greatly diminished and the capitalist system that made it possible for Americans of all classes to flourish has been labeled as evil and is under assault.

Four more years of Obama and we will truly all become a part of the proletariat…that’s Marxist code for po folk, ya’ll…just in case you were wondering!

Never Too Young to Learn From Dad

Their children are raised to hate America and Israel: Look at this shocking picture of boy holding a gun during anti-U.S. riot in Lebanon… it’s only a matter of time before another US embassy goes up in smoke. We can’t negotiate and appease our way out of this. If we don’t confront this hate head on we’re only going to incur worse.

Fired up: In Cairo, a protester shouts slogans as he stands on a burnt car during clashes with riot police along a road leading to the U.S. embassy, near Tahir Square

Notice the banner in the background? It’s the blind Sheik. He’s a hero in Egypt…and that was long before this video was made. Getting the picture?
