A thirty-three year old Sarah Palin hater got more than he bargained for today when he took aim during her Mall of America book signing. Hoping to hit Palin with a couple of tomatoes the upstart protester missed completely and instead nailed a cop, Bloomington police Commander Mark Stehlik. Jeremy Olsen was arrested for suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct. Serves him right.

Meanwhile Sarah continued to sign books for the thousand or so people who lined up to see her and get an autograph. The book, “Going Rogue” is outpacing books by both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and currently tops the Best Seller list with over a million copies sold.

Do you want to pay for healthcare or do you want to pay for BIG government agencies, oversight committees, grants and study groups? Do you want improvement in the health care industry or new government workers in everything from a “Clinical Prevention Stakeholders Board” to a “Grant program to support demonstration programs for regionalized emergency care”? It doesn’t take a high IQ, or an oversized wallet, to realize that the one hundred and eleven new government offices and boards in this bill translate to more government workers, payroll, and benefits…a big outrageous bureaucracy. This added bloat will be very expensive and only increase the cost of our health care.

One determined professor took it upon himself to read the entire bill being considered in Congress. I urge you to read his entire post:

“WHAT THE ‘AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE FOR AMERICA ACT,’ HR 3962, ACTUALLY SAYS,” by John David Lewis, Associate Professor – Philosophy, Politics and Economics Program, Duke University

This bill is 1,990 pages of mind-numbing legalese. It will reach deeply into federal and state regulations and laws, on a scale that will require years for experts to interpret. It will establish institutions that will be effectively irreversible. It will grant arbitrary powers to bureaucrats, who will have to interpret and enforce its dictates. A full analysis of its impact would require a commentary at least as long as the bill itself. American citizens cannot be expected to read and understand such legislation. But they should be aware that this is the nature of the laws being written by their (alleged) representatives in Washington.

It’s easy to take our safety and security for granted. One woman shares an experience that brought the folly in this attitude home. I hope you will read and reflect upon “You don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone,” by Beverly Gunn – American Thinker. Here’s a teaser:

Seven or eight men rang the doorbell at our house on JahnStrasse. My husband opened the door and we invited the group of men into our living room. I glanced over and recognized the mayor of Feucht and one or two others I had met briefly, noting that the group consisted of both military and civilian German officials. I would later learn that the equivalent of our FBI/CIA were present representing the country of Germany. The men refused my pot of coffee and promptly began telling us a narrative that both chilled and alarmed us.

The true atrocity was that their bodies were then burned and dragged through the city. Finally, two of the mutilated bodies were hung from a bridge over the Euphrates River for the press to photograph.

I have been asked by numerous individuals as to how I manage to get through the Bible in one years time. It is a task I attempt to undertake every year, and I must admit that often times I find myself bunching up a few books around the end of the year to accomplish my task. There are many schedules put out every January by various Christian Churches and organizations that will guide you in accomplishing such an endeavor. I am sure those who attend church regularly will find that their Church offers a schedule every December. Unfortunately, what I have learned through the years is that these lists and schedules are usually put together by someone whose hours and lifestyle doesn’t always fit for others. So for today’s Sunday message, I have decided to offer a few ideas for those who have yet to read the Bible through in a year and desire to do so. I will attempt to show how I have been able to get into the rhythm of reading the Lords gift to us, His Word, from cover to cover.

The best way to begin is to share my own experience. One of the most difficult obstacles is to be disciplined about picking the Bible up everyday and reading it. Now I do not mean to say that I did not have the desire to read the Word, I did. My problem was that when I finished with all the exciting passages, I was faced with the task of reading the books I felt did not pertain to my life. So for many years I just kept rereading the same books over and over again. Well, you can imagine, my walk with the Lord was not as full and rewarding as it could have been. I was missing a major part of Him, my Father who created me. Then one day I was told by Pastor Bud Chauvin that besides reading through the Bible once a year, he also read the book of Psalms and the book of Proverbs 12 times a year. After hearing this, I decided to follow suit, and began reading the book of Psalms and the book of Proverbs through in one month.

The trouble with the current administration is that they believe their ideas are the solution to our problems; what they fail to realize is that the American people are the solution.

After years of solutions from the left, too many Americans have lost the grit and determination of past generations. They have become a collection of “have nots”. Some no longer feel the sting associated with dependency in adulthood and easily buy into the hope and change fraud of government solutions to their predicaments. Our recent financial woes have made productive people, the “haves”, weary and worried about a future with even more of the same. They are reaching deep within themselves, gathering together to muster that grit and fight for the right simply to be productive and to determine their own fates. These Americans know that government didn’t build this nation; the people did. They know that the bridges, roads, and dams of the New Deal era were built on the backs and from the pockets of Americans. Democrats like to credit themselves but the aquired revenue came from private citizens and the labor did too. That revenue would have been put to more economical use had the projects been done privately. The unintended consequence of the big government idea was that ten years later, in 1939, the unemployment rate was still staggering at around 20%. Jobs that became available under the New Deal were temporary. The overall economy stagnated under the burden of those heavy taxes and opportunity remained just out of reach for many Americans.

Imagine that, your little gods have been caught with their fingers in the proverbial cookie jar of make believe. If you people were alive back in the day of the reconstruction of the South after the Civil War, you would have been the ones to sell your land to a Northern carpet baggar for worthless confederate money.

I hate to be so cold and harsh, but when will you people wake up to their lies? As much as you want to believe it, Al Gore is NOT an intellectual giant. He is nothing more than a two bit con artist like his father was. A huckster! And you liberals are fools for falling for his garbage.

In closing, I have only this left to say about Al Gore and his Global Warming hoax. The world is not getting warmer, it is getting colder. The only place it is getting warmer is in Al Gores head. However, even if it were getting warmer, I suggest it is because of fools like Al Gore who have gotten bigger on the scale along with their bank accounts. Ordinarily, this is not bad for any other person, but for men like Gore, this is bad. Because in Gores case, he is eating more and packing up more, accumulating more to his garbage dump, hence breathing out more gas (way more), running up higher blood pressure, occupying more space, wasting more with his SUV and air travels etc. etc. etc. That being said, the most inconvenient truth to Al Gore, is that he really needs to quit eating and traveling so much so that the world which he says is doomed, may have a chance to recuperate from its not so high temperatures. After all, if God is to doom the world the way He said He would, then we will need Al Gore to co-operate or God will be wrong.

What you are about to read can be considered pornographic and is being given to our elementary aged school children at the behest of Obama and his schools Czar. Gateway Pundit has received a list of books recommended for school children in elementary school for reading material. Along with this list are excerpts from these books. I have redacted all foul language from the excerpts but left enough for you to get a good idea of what Obama considers acceptable for children to read in school. Remember, these are the same individuals who think that a bible in the hands of a school child while in school is bad and unconstitutional. When I considered what those who had to read these books had to subject themselves to I was almost sick to my stomach. Personally I was shocked just by the excerpts that were printed, I can only imagine what kind of sick perverted adult would consider such material to be appropriate for children in elementary aged classes. What you will read at this link are such things as the description of masturbation, homosexual sex, and even discussions of prostitution. What I noted was that subject of masturbation at a young age was talked about in the reading material recommended by Obama’s School Czar. I am talking about discussions of children as young as 6 years old relating their experiences with masturbation in public and homosexual encounters with other children and adults. The material is shared in graphic detail so the child will understand and learn exactly how to imitate such behavior.
