Nationalizing Health Care by Stealth

Without discussion or debate the Congress of the United States is about to vote on a bill that, if adopted and signed by the president, will ruin your health. Buried in the stimulus bill being considered in the Senate is a provision to radically alter the health care system in America, according to Betsey McCaughey of Bloomberg:

“The Proposal”

Reposted by popular demand….

When a company falls on difficult times, one of the things that seems to happen is they reduce their staff and workers. The remaining workers need to find ways to continue to do a good job or risk that their job would be eliminated as well. Wall street, and the media normally congratulate the CEO for making this type of “tough decision”, and his board of directors gives him a big bonus.

Our government should not be immune from similar risks.

Therefore: Reduce the House of Representatives from the current 435 members to 218 members and Senate members from 100 to 50 (one per State). Also reduce remaining staff by 25%.

Accomplish this over the next 8 years. (two steps / two elections) and of course this would require some redistricting.

Some Yearly Monetary Gains Include:

$44,108,400 for elimination of base pay for congress. (267 members X $165,200 pay / member / yr.)

Gifts, Gifts, and More Gifts, It’s Good To Be A Lawmaker

by Jack Lee

Some lawmakers use the gifts to finance the good life, expenditure reports show. No? Really? Our most beloved, trusted and revered Americans would live high on the hog by selling out our country to special interests? Why, I am so stunned….who would have ever believed this possible?

Sacramento, CA — Some California lawmakers haven’t let the state’s financial calamity keep them from enjoying the good life; they’ve been using campaign cash for first-class travel abroad, expensive dinners, 5 star hotels, fine dining, salon makeovers and visits to luxurious spas. It’s all part of the job.

Spending reports filed with the state covering the last three months show:

hangman's.jpg* Several lawmakers checked into the Fairmont Hotel on Maui on donors’ dimes two days after the start of an emergency session on the budget in November.

hangman's.jpgThe lead state senator on budget issues joined colleagues who left the fiscal crisis behind to go to India, where they toured the Taj Mahal and stayed at a Four Seasons and other luxury hotels.

Dem Clowns Are Just Stupid

How to make sure jobs leave the country…and this time on taxpayer dimes:

SAO PAULO — General Motors plans to invest $1 billion in Brazil to avoid the kind of problems the U.S. automaker is facing in its home market, said the beleaguered car maker. According to the president of GM Brazil-Mercosur, Jaime Ardila, the funding will come from the package of financial aid that the manufacturer will receive from the U.S. government and will be used to “complete the renovation of the line of products up to 2012.” Latin American Herald Tribune

If democrats and union members want jobs in America they are going to have to quit discriminating against employers with regualtion and tax policies that make staying in America unworkable. Why wouldnt they go somewhere where they are appreciated and welcomed and where they have a prayer of making it work? DUH!!!

More Tax Cuts, Less Spending…PLEASE

“62% Want Stimulus Plan to Have More Tax Cuts, Less Spending

** With the Senate poised to vote Tuesday on an $827-billion version of the economic recovery plan, 62% of U.S. voters want the plan to include more tax cuts and less government spending. *** Just 14% would like to move in the opposite direction with more government spending and fewer tax cuts, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Twenty percent (20%) would be happy to pass it pretty much as is, and five percent (5%) are not sure. **

Another Party Junket for Law Makers? That’s It, Let the Revolution Begin!

by Jack Lee

toilet.jpgOnce again we have proof that lawmakers are out of touch with reality (or should I say morality?). I suppose we don’t really need more proof, but here it is anyway, read it and weep:

In the midst of the worst national economic crisis in at least 80 years, in a State with the largest budget crisis of all States, 6 California legislators, all democrats, have decided to jet over to France to study choo-choo trains, isn’t that special?

Big perks, expensive junkets, lavish party retreats, etc., they are still flourishing in Sacramento and Washington, despite the recession. Yet they have the audacity to criticize Wall Street for their excesses? It’s almost comical, and I would laugh if it was not destroying the nation.

This is a breaking story our legislators would rather you not hear, but we will get you the details as they become known. KFBK radio and the Sacramento Bee are currrently reporting on this, so stay tuned for more.
