YouTube Video Shows Dems Covering Up Fannie & Fred Scam

UPDATE-YOUTUBE PULLS VIDEO UNDER PRESSURE

You Tube pulls a popular anti-Democrat video off the web, by C. Edmund Wright American Thinker

* The 9:59 video entitled “Burning Down the House: What Caused Our Economic Crisis” played four different songs under a fast moving video sequence that very clearly tied Democrats like Chris Dodd, Franklin Raines, Jim Johnson and Barack Obama to policies and corruption related to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It cleverly showed how the “affordable mortgage” programs sent an economic virus through the entire economy and showed Republican efforts to intervene and regulate being blocked. *** Sometime around 3:45 EDT the video disappeared with the banner saying “This Video is no longer available due to a copywrite claim by Warner Music Group.” *** Thomas Lifson adds: Even though I wonder if Warner is so vigilant about its music being used for videos advantageous to Democrats, there is a perfect right to object to appropriation of intellectual property. Music is a business, and if you use someone’s music you have to pay a royalty. Simply re-post the video minus its music soundtrack, and see what happens. *** Daniel J. Bianco writes in, poiting out that head of the Warner Music Group’s political contributions this year are going exclusively to Democrats.

Maverick Republican’s Hold Firm – ACORN Off Table In Bailout Bill

Posted by Tina

Politico’s “The Crypt” reports the folowing:

ACORN outrage removes affordable housing provision

After several days of rage from conservative activists regarding a provision in the bailout bill that would send some of the profits from the sale of distressed assets the goverment buys into an affordable housing trust fund, congressional negotiators have removed section 105(d) of the bailout proposal, according to aides on both side. *** ACORN, a Democratic ally, was not specifically directed any funds in the previous proposal, but money that went to state and local governments could then have been divvied out to the organization, which the GOP said was a deal breaker. Fevered opposition to the provision had become a viral sensation. *** It appears that, with the removal of the affordable housing trust fund, all of the proceeds from the sale of assets will now go to retire the debt.

This is really good news. We need a clean bill that protects taxpayers. The “red shirts” in LA (see story below) might have to alter some of their plans, however.

The Round Up

by Jack

78-cowboy.jpgWhen we say it’s time to pony up, we really mean it! You better get your horse saddled because we’ve got some cattle to round up. Yep pardner, it’s that time of year again when them lil doggies have to have their vaccinations and wormer and that means somebody has got to saddle up and move em into the coral.

Today, we had four real good cabio’s and it went pretty smooth unlike last year when just us Gringo’s tried it. We had those cows goin in six different directions. When we finally got em cornered and were moving into the coral those cows were pretty worked up and their tails were swishing and flickin some real nasty green cow poop on us. Cows do that when they aren’t exactly happy. After we got em in the coral it didn’t get any better, we had city

Values, Standards and the Financial Crack Up

Posted by Tina

I thought this being a wait and see kind of Sunday it might be a good time to share an incredible article that explains how we really got in this financial mess. While Congress plays big shot tinkering with legislation that could aversely affect our very lives we can take the time to ponder a proposal that, if implemented, would actually have long lasting positive results and make a real difference.

Newts Excellent Suggestion

Posted by Tina

Former Georgia Congressman Newt Gingrich suggested the final version of bill be posted on the Internet for 24 hours before Congress votes. *** That will let you flush out the kind of hidden, secret deals that crop up, that the press finds two weeks after somethings been voted on, he said.

I disagree with some of what Newt is saying but you can read the rest of his analysis of the financial crisis proposal here.

I dont know that Congress will get this bill done in time to post it for 24 hours but it ‘s a great idea and certainly worth considering for all bills coming out of Congress in the future. There has to be a way to keep an eye on them and hold them all accountable.

How could 19 hijackers succeed against the world’s greatest military power? And how could history’s strongest and most productive economy seize up virtually overnight?

A very entertaining article, Clowns in the Cockpit, by Herbert E. Meyer over at the American Thinker answers these questions with the simple truth and a great clown analogy. Do yourself a favor…read it now!

Scum in the Bailout Waters

Posted by Tina

An article in Investors Business Daily, Rescuing Acorn reveals the true intentions of those congressmen bent on playing politics as usual instead of working hard to bring a timely solution to the banking problem. This situation calls for wise leadership and focus on a specific problem. Please consider the following carefully:

Rescuing ACORN IBD

Democrats want to use profits from the bailout as a slush fund for liberal activist groups, even those involved in vote fraud to help elect Barack Obama. *** Prior financial bailouts, or “rescues,” such as those involving savings and loan failures, and Chrysler, have over time actually made money for the government. It may be the case here as well, as assets bought by the government at bargain prices return to marketable values and are auctioned off. *** One of the sticking points in resolving the crisis was a poison pill in the Dodd/Paulson compromise that would move 20% of profits from the bailout into the Housing Trust Fund, a slush fund for political action groups such as ACORN (the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) and the National Council of La Raza. *** ACORN uses taxpayer money to elect people like Barack Obama who will work to get them more taxpayer money. Democrats are willing to rip off taxpayers in a national crisis to make it happen.

I urge you to read the entire revealing article.
