Vote McCain * Palin for Economic Recovery & Good Jobs

We will cut the capital-gains tax. And we will cut business taxes to help create jobs, and keep American businesses in America. John McCain

Ordinary Americans are indeed smart enough to grasp the simple concept that good jobs depend on strong viable companies, companies that remain firmly established in America. Tax policies that are overly burdensome, as those Obama has proposed, send big corporations to business friendlier locations. They cause foreign investors to flee America for better investment opportunities and they also cause companies of all sizes to cut back or eliminate jobs.

Americans get how this works because they know what bigger tax burdens do to their own family budgets. 100 million investors represent nearly two of every three votes in presidential elections and those investors certainly get it. But its also true that if voters without investments have any hope of ever becoming better savers and investors they need a strong growing economy and an abundance of good jobs. Sending more money to the coffers in Washington wont accomplish that goal. Democrats are proposing government projects like bridge building to boost the economy and provide jobs. While these projects might be worthy goals they do not represent sustainable business or a sustainable abundance of jobs. Strong healthy businesses will continue to be viable and grow as long as we do what we can to support them as they compete in the marketplace. This low tax approach is one that gives all Americans a chance to participate, pursue their dreams and achieve as much as their ambitions and work will produce.

the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds voters trust McCain more than Obama on taxes, 47% to 45%. Rasmussen Reports

Im not surprised. Spreading the wealth around is not the job of government. It is the moral obligation of every American as he sees fit. As individuals we are called upon to lend our support to our fellow citizens in needand we do. It is the job of those individuals receiving our support to uplift themselves. The desired result of this handshake is seeing the poor succeed. To assure that outcome we must make sure all Americans receive a good education and that our society creates an abundance of job opportunities. Those two things, coupled with a renewed dedication to self reliance and dignity, respect for superiors and elders, and good manners will do more to lift people up than any government handout ever could.
