State Can’t Find Half of it’s Vehicles

If you had any doubts about the state of California’s government’s need to reform, consider that out of the 70,000 cars, trucks and other vehicles the state owns, the responsible agency could only account for 40,000 of them. That means there may be no records or paper trail on 30,000 vehicles — or 43 percent — of the state’s fleet.
