To compile their list, Portfolio used data from the American Community Survey to correlate average adult earnings with level of educational attainment. Merced’s low rates in both categories produced an aggregate score of -2.558 (cities with performance rates below the national average were given negative scores.

Why are they referring to just the populous only and their earning or educational achievements. I have a better scale to grade, lets do city governments, because if the survey went in that direction I can only speculate how high Chico would be on that list of underachievers for the citizenry. Yeah I know it’s a Jab! however considering all the supporting data of late, what with chickens and lack of code enforcement, all their indecisions, weed issues and, messing over the Saturday farmers market for a few bucks (and whatever real issue is behind it) or Thursday’s night market over even a fewer parking spaces, and the little gamesmanship they pull at meetings with the concerned public speakers, I would expect Santa’s forgiveness. I’ll bet this opinion gets the local Lib’s throwing hissy fit’s, along with chunks of coal. However in the spirit of the season to them and all, Merry Christmas and God Bless all the little children.
