Assemblyman Get’s Mad, yells, “You’re f’- – -ing dead”

This is unbelievable, but a democrat Assemblyman in Wisconsin became irate following a house vote and yelled at Rep. Michelle Litjens, R-Winneconne: “You’re f – – – – – – – – dead.”

It was just last week that Rep. Gordon Hintz, D-Oshkosh accepted responsibility for visiting a massage parlor in Appleton that was the subject of a prostitution sting and being issued a citation. Now he’s yelling death threats at a colleague? What a piece of work. And this coming right after the AZ shooting and all the lecturing by dems. The media is giving this almost zero attention, but you know if this was reversed and a Republican had done the same thing it would be headlines from coast to coast!

Still waiting for outrage over the incivility and “vitriol” of these teachers and the bussed in union thugs with their horrid behavior, evil signage…and now this. Not a word has been heard about civility or decency and respect. It really is becoming a joke!

“if this was reversed and a Republican had done the same thing it would be headlines from coast to coast.”
    How do you know this?
    Can you cite an example?

  3. Toby says:

How about the debate between Hillary Clinton and I can’t off the top of my head recall who. He wanted to hand Clinton some papers and just by approaching her the media went nuts and spun it into he was assaulting her. His aggression was way over the top and uncalled for. It will come to me.

  4. Toby says:

Found it, took a little looking but here is a great example. Rick Lazio/Hillary Clinton senatorial debate, back in 2000, how outrage erupted among the Democrats, when Lazio stepped over to Mrs. Clintons podium, and tried to hand her a piece of paper? (Brandished was the verb used in Salon.) Lazio was accused, baselessly, of trying to intimidate Mrs. Clinton.

We’ve seen numerous examples of the media bias. Trent Lott ended up hounded out of office for praising a man on his birthday.
The real question though, is where is the moral outrage over what is clearly a violent statement? Wasn’t it just months ago that liberals were trying to pin the actions of an atheist pothead who shot a congresswoman on republicans? Did we not hear them call for a “toning down” of the rhetoric?
It remains OK, in the eyes of the left, to insult, threaten, even to call traitors, of conservatives, simply we disagree on how to make this country a better place.

  6. Tina says:

Toby that was the most ridiculous case of playing the girl card I’ve ever seen. Hillary, as the feminist icon of the moment, suddenly tranfornmed into the emotionally vulnerable little woman because her “space” was invaded…by…oh the horrors…a man!

The most blattant example is happening daily with coverage (lack thereof) of the war:

    1. Guantanamo
    2. Continued use of Halliburton
    3. Expanded surveillance tactics
    4. Civilians killed
    5. Rendition
    6. Expanded covert ops into Pakistan

The alphabet channels were relentless with Bush…out to make the man a monster…Obama? Barely a peep and then most of it positively spun. Pathetic!

Quentin, how do we know the media would have blasted a republican if they said such a thing? Wow…I can’t believe you even asked that, it reveals either extreme naivety or extreme bias. If you have missed this reality or your bias has blinded you to this reality, then I doubt any explanation will be satisfactory. The evidence is out here in abundance all anyone has to do is look – I’ll leave it at that.

  8. Harriet says:

I think Quentin is kidding, but I will play.

Another example is George Allen and his Macaca comment.

  9. Chris says:

Obviously, what this guy said was absolutely unacceptable, and he is not fit to serve. Especially in the wake of the Tucson tragedy…what an awful, awful human being.

Steve: “Trent Lott ended up hounded out of office for praising a man on his birthday.”

To be fair, the man he was praising was an unrepentant segregationist, and Lott said that the country would have been better off if he was running the country. That’s not nearly as bad as Hintz’s death threat, but it was still pretty awful.

  10. Steve says:

Chris, thanks for the detail reminder, I hadn’t yet had my coffee this morning. I would say that Lott’s comments praising a segregationist are not even the same as if he had made racist comments himself, which even our current vice president has done. But that’s another thread of conversation and I don’t want to get off track.

A Democrat telling a Republican she’s “f’ing dead” is clearly innapropriate by any means. Yet I have a fear that CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, etc, will all ignore this story (I could be wrong, I don’t watch much TV actually), and the only place you can hear about this is on FOX. Which is why a bunch of censure-happy lefties want to impose the Fairness Indoctrination and put FOX out of business.

In any case, what the heck happened to “toning down the rhetoric?” Where’s the peaceful protest? I had a democrat yesterday, who was btw trying to convince to support her position on public employee unions, that anyone who voted Republican was an idiot. Not exactly the best way to win friends and influence people, imho. But I realize a lot of conservatives do the same thing and our country isn’t getting any closer to a peaceful resolution to our disputes.

  11. Post Scripts says:

Chris, you are spot on and I appreciate your consistent ethics.

  12. Harriet says:

To be fair, the man he was praising was an unrepentant segregationist, and Lott said that the country would have been better off if he was running the country.

Chris, I personally cannot stand Trent Lott, that being said in this case he was just trying to make a 100 year old man feel good. Not sure there was anything more to it, He was basically run out of town because of it, Senator Byrd was an actual KKK member in fact held an office in that “club” yet he was accepted.
There again a difference in how republicans and democrats are treated in the press and politicaly.

  13. Tina says:

Harriet you are spot on. Democrats and the press jumped on this and used it for political, not ethical, motivations to smear Trent Lott (also not my favorite Republican). If principled they would be consistent and they are not. Another old man, Robert Byrd, used the N word on television after the Lott incident and was “excused” as just an eccentric old coger.
