This is so true, and more proof that our corrupt Supreme Court failed us with Citizens United.
I wouldn’t call upholding the free speech rights of citizens that own and invest in corporations a failure. Those people have a right just as any other people do to express themselves politically to engage in nthe process, to make donations, and to protect their business interests froexcessive government intrusion. They court had no choice but to decide as they did.
I would support all efforts to reduce the size of the federal government. That would end the practice of corporatism at the federal level. Corporatism, a practice this administration has taken to an all time extreme, is not healthy for America.
The point of Mr. O’Rourke’s statement is less government regulation…less government involvement. Take that away and corporations wouldn’t have to waste money trying to keep government off their backs. That would leave more money for jobs, expansion, research and development…might even keep prices lower on goods and services.
Freedom…it’s what made America great!
