She was 5 months pregnant when doctors discovered her cervix had opened by a centimeter, but there was no contractions. This was a bad sign, she could deliver prematurely and her doctors were very concerned, so much so she was told she would be hospitalized, possibly for a month or longer. Both father and mother desperately wanted this baby to be born, it was their first and they had been wanting this child for a long time, now everything was suddenly at risk. The process of her becoming pregnant had been a long and difficult, fraught with hurdles, now one more complication threaten everything.
She prayed, her family prayed, her church members prayed and guess what? She was discharged yesterday…her situation was that improved.
We can’t specifically say this minor miracle was due to the power of prayer, but who knows? As our young mother said, “There are many things beyond our understanding.” I prefer to think miracles do happen…every day.
