Benghazi Whistleblowers Come Forward

Posted by Tina

Big Peace, Breitbart:

According to CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson, who has covered the Benghazi terror attack resulting in the death of four Americans including our Ambassador to Libya, new whistleblowers are speaking to Congressional investigators.

The media has been blatantly un-curious on Benghazi as well as guilty of covering for the administration. Those who escaped the deadly attack in Benghazi had been sequestered away…now they have a chance to come forward to speak.

More good news Jack, Issa HAS DEFINITELY NOT put this case in the round file!

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) is pushing ahead with his investigation of last year’s fatal attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, by preparing federal agencies to allow employees to lawyer up.

In separate letters to the legal offices of the CIA, State Department and Defense Department, Issa said some witnesses on the issue might need lawyers, if their agencies decide to retaliate against them for their testimony.

“During the course of the investigation, numerous individuals have approached the committee with information related to the attack,” wrote Issa in the letters, which were obtained by The Hill.

He asked agencies to provide details on how to grant outside attorneys the security clearances necessary for them to adequately represent employees discussing classified matters with congressional investigators.

“Some witnesses may be required to retain personal counsel to represent them before the committee and in the event the agency subsequently retaliates against them for cooperating with the committee’s investigation,” he said.

“Additional witnesses may be compelled by subpoena to give testimony to the committee and can be reasonably expected to retain personal counsel at that time.”

The letters are the latest sign that Issa is ramping up his investigation of the Benghazi attack and potential security and managerial failures that led up to it.

With regard to my Jones post … I take it all back.

    You are re-reporting a twitter-tweet.

People who make them are not journalists, and people who act on them are not members of a sensible electorate.

What will Obama do to take the focus off him this week? If only some small town had a fertilizer factory, hmmmm.
Is it possible the MSM has a limit to how much of Obama’s bullshit they will eat?

  5. Tina says:

    Libby: “You are re-reporting a twitter-tweet.”

Don’t know what you are talking about. CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson is the tweeter you refer to and last time I looked CBS is still considered a legitimate news outlet! IBD and The Hill are the other sources of the information in this post.

Could be that people who comment on blogs should perhaps look a little more closely at the sources before making disparaging remarks.

  6. Libby says:

On the contrary, Tina. The tweet is all there is. And yet, as you say, Attkisson is supposed to be a reputable journalist.

How hard is it, do you suppose? … to impersonate a tweeter?

Or … maybe she’s not what we thought she was.

For the moment, however, the sad fact is that there is not factual basis at all for 1) her tweet, and 2) your twitter.
