Our Ridiculous Debt

Posted by Tina

An article at CNS News today opens a window into the tomb full of debt piled up because of big government programs, slight-of-hand and accounting, and QE (money printing). It is troubling that the same conditions that helped bring on the “worst recession since the great depression” continue to exist. Dodd Frank was just another manipulative ruse and the practice of QE just another controlling mechanism to keep the bad effects from Obama’s increase in government at bay unbtil he is well on his way to wealthy retirement. Give it a read if you can stomach it on a Monday morning. Here’s the kicker:

Thus the Federal Reserve now owns more debt in the form of U.S. Treasury securities and MBSs (Mortgage Backed Securities) than the sum total of the publicly held debt that the U.S. government accumulated from George Washington’s administration into November 2001, during President George W. Bush’s first term.

The Communitarians of government are well on their way to destroying our country and lying to the public to keep their iron grip of control.

Regardless of the Spin coming from DC, our economy is NOT getting better, and the spectre of Obumblecare looms upon the horizon.
The Taxocrats who rammed that monstrosity through Clowngress during the dead of night deserve to AT LEAST be tarred & feathered!

      J. Our economy is built on credit. It has been for most of the last 25 years, unfortunately Obama has taken debt to a whole new level of actually being too much to pay back. If anyone doubts what I’m saying, look at Wall Street. The moment the Feds hint they will slightly taper the infusion of $85 billion per month, the market reacts violently. Why? Because they know something the sub-average American doesn’t. And that is, as soon as the stimulous is over we expose our real economy. We have no robust economy. The economy has been proped up and we’ve never recovered from the Great Recession. The jobs aren’t there. The salaries aren’t there. It’s all an illusion because we tried to go against the laws of supply and demand and necessary ratio between real workers and taxpayers verses welfare recipients.

The debt is equal to our entire GNP, now that’s another first and its almost too staggering to think about it. According to some very smart economists we now owe more than we can pay back in a life time, maybe two life times. ObamaCare assures us of one thing and it’s not good medical care for all, it’s the final blow to the economy and a return to recession or worse. There’s no way to sugarcoat it – this is the hard reality. But, unfortunately the sub-average Americans don’t have a clue what I’m saying, nor do they care.

Jack there is at least one other element to this fundamental transformation into third world hell and that is the attack on oil and coal. These industries are being subjected to unreasonable expensive regulation to meet standards that are impossible to meet while technology that has been tried before and found wanting (wind) and technology that hasn’t been tested over the long haul (solar) are being pushed and subsidized with dollars that we can’t possibly generate due to the lousy sluggish economy even if we were without debt…which we aren’t.

A change in leadership could at least improve our situation in the short run. a complete change in focus over a long period and we could still become a thriving nation. Our debt situation is very bad and I don’t intend here to diminish that point one bit but changing the direction, where our debt is getting smaller every year, would work wonders. This could be accomplished with changes in policies, elimination of federal departments, and a focus on freeing up gas, oil, and coal production. Add to that the elimination of Obamacare with the addition of reforms suggested by Republicans for the shared concerns Americans have and reforms to social security to create private accounts for younger Americans and our economy would take off like gangbusters. Revenues would flow freely…given good management America could be back to a reasonable debt level in a fairly short time…then the hard work would begin…LOL!

Without federal departments corporations rule otherwise known as corporatism the closet thing to fascism.

I find it hard to believe one would say global corporations such as exxon mobile will do the right thing for humans.

No worries the TPP removes all the power of any countries gov to the global corporations so humans soon will be enslaved to corporate rule once again.

dewey: “Without federal departments corporations rule otherwise known as corporatism…”

You are correct that corporatism is fascism. You are wrong that corporations “rule” without federal departments. The Constitution and the rule of law work. When politicians work with corporate heads to create law they create a condition of corporatism. Obamacare is one of the worst examples of politicians engaging in corporatism in order to further the lefts political agenda.

You live under a Constitution and as a free man you are not required to purchase from any corporation nor work for one. Although corporations, run by citizens have money and power they do not create laws, tax and regulate.

You also do not understand the mechanism that creates the condition called corporatism. Corporatism is created when the state controls the means of production.

People are people. The idea that because a person is in government he will be more likely to treat citizens better than a private owner of a company is, frankly, NUTS!

    Britannica:

the theory and practice of organizing society into “corporations” subordinate to the state. According to corporatist theory, workers and employers would be organized into industrial and professional corporations serving as organs of political representation and controlling to a large extent the persons and activities within their jurisdiction. However, as the “corporate state” was put into effect in fascist Italy between World Wars I and II, it reflected the will of the country’s dictator, Benito Mussolini, rather than the adjusted interests of economic groups.

“I find it hard to believe one would say global corporations such as exxon mobile will do the right thing for humans.”

Right because they don’t have families that breath and require a clean environment to live. Since their CEO’s have money they have magical powers. Also, they don’t have to satisfy their customers.

Our readers may not know that the TTP is a trade agreement proposal under consideration.

    Wikipedia

In early 2012, the Obama administration indicated that a requirement for the conclusion of TPP negotiations is the renewal of “fast track” Trade Promotion Authority.[55] If “fast track” is renewed, then the normal treaty ratification and implementation procedure would be bypassed, and the United States Congress would instead be required to introduce and vote on an administration-authored bill for implementing the TPP with minimal debate and no amendments, with the entire process taking no more than 90 days.[56] …

…There has been criticism[59][60][61] of some provisions relating to the enforcement of patents and copyrights alleged to be present in leaked copies of the US proposal for the agreement:

The proposals have been accused of being excessively restrictive, providing intellectual property restraints beyond those in the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement and Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA).[62] A coalition of non-profit organisations, businesses and over 100,000 people have spoken out through a campaign called “Stop The Trap”.

In spring 2013, over 30 Internet freedom organizations including the Electronic Frontier Foundation and OpenMedia.ca, came together to call for a ‘Fair Deal’ on the TPP’s intellectual property provisions. The coalition says proposals in the TPP would take a major toll on society, by restricting innovation and by forcing ISPs to police copyright. Over 15000 citizens have joined the Fair Deal campaign.

A number of United States Congresspeople,[63] including Senator Bernard Sanders[64] and Representatives Henry Waxman, Sander M. Levin, John Conyers, Jim McDermott,[65] John Lewis, Pete Stark, Charles B. Rangel, Earl Blumenauer, and Lloyd Doggett,[66] have expressed concerns about the effect the TPP requirements would have on access to medicine. In particular, they are concerned that the TPP focuses on protecting intellectual property to the detriment of efforts to provide access to affordable medicine in the developing world, particularly Vietnam, going against the foreign policy goals of the Obama administration and previous administrations.[63] Additionally, they worry that the TPP would not be flexible enough to accommodate existing non-discriminatory drug reimbursement programs and the diverse health systems of member countries.[66] (continues)

Don’t be a fool. Marxists in power are all for creating government control through these agreements. They collude with the corporations by offering them certain protections for their financial support but it is the politician that has the power and it will be the government that has the power over your life.

What we need is representatives that believe strongly in limited neutral government…and freedom. We need leaders of high moral standards that will actually honor their commitment to defend our individual rights under the Constitution.

Neither fascism nor communism fit with the ideals of our founding documents. Regulations should be simple and create standards that all must live under and that support free market opportunity. The protectionist and manipulative nature of the laws and regulations that our politicians have created are stifling to individual efforts and our freedoms.

Sadly too many Americans have been indoctrinated away from our founding principles and toward the Marxist/socialist/fascist ideas that represent soft tyranny and will lead, ultimately to absolute tyranny.
