Tourists in Yellowstone “Treated Like Criminals”

Posted by Tina

According to one Park Ranger charged with carrying out the Presidents National Parks closure edict, the President ordered them to “make life as difficult for people as we can.”

Visitors to Yellowstone National Park got to experience the Jack Boot thuggery of the Presidents vindictive leadership approach first hand. A bus load of tourists, some from Canada, Japan, and Australia, were inside the park when the closure was ordered and they were treated very poorly per the Presidents instructions:

For many hours her tour group, which included senior citizen visitors from Japan, Australia, Canada and the United States, were locked in a Yellowstone National Park hotel under armed guard.

The tourists were treated harshly by armed park employees, she said, so much so that some of the foreign tourists with limited English skills thought they were under arrest.

When finally allowed to leave, the bus was not allowed to halt at all along the 2.5-hour trip out of the park, not even to stop at private bathrooms that were open along the route.

Some of the foreign visitors said they would never come back to America again.

Nice going President Dictator.

    THIS LAND’S NOT YOUR LAND
Sing to the tune of, “This Land Is Your Land”

This land’s not your land, this land is my land
Shut down or open, it comes from my hand
From Barack Obama to the bitter clingers:
This land’s not made for you to see

If you go driving an interstate highway
And see an orange cone, you’ll do it my way
You will obey me and not go forward
This land’s not made for you to see

This land’s not your land, this land is my land
Shut down or open, it comes from my hand
From Barack Obama to the bitter clingers:
This land’s not made for you to see

You’ll want to travel and go to Mount Rushmore
But at Rapid City, you won’t go much more
Guards will surround you, their voices sounding:
This land’s not made for you to see

This land’s not your land, this land is my land
Shut down or open, it comes from my hand
From Barack Obama to the bitter clingers:
This land’s not made for you to see

If you oppose me, I’ll make you suffer
Come near memorials, I’ll put up a buffer
I am Obama, I am your land lord
This land’s not made for you to see

This land’s not your land, this land is my land
Shut down or open, it comes from my hand
From Barack Obama to the bitter clingers:
This land’s not made for you to see

If you go looking, you’ll see a sign there
And on the sign it says: “There’s No Trespassing”
And on the other side: “No Looking or Nothing!”
Both sides were made for you to see

This land’s not your land, this land is my land
Shut down or open, it comes from my hand
From Barack Obama to the bitter clingers:
This land’s not made for you to see

At the Redwood Forest, in the land of the Canyons
By the Gulfstream Waters, you’ll see my minions
As they stand there guarding, you’ll stand there wond’ring:
Is this land safe for me to see?

This land’s not your land, this land is my land
Shut down or open, it comes from my hand
From Barack Obama to the bitter clingers:
This land’s not made for you to see

No one can stop me, my mind is made up
As I go putting my Barrycades up
Nobody living can make me give your land back
This land’s not made for you to see

But King Obama, this land is our land
So shut your piehole, you can go pound sand
From the bitter clingers to Barack Obama:
This land was founded to be free

This land ain’t your land, this land is our land
So shut your piehole, you can go pound sand
From the bitter clingers to Barack Obama:
This land was founded to be free
    ==================================================

At every turn Obama takes us closer and closer to an old East German like society.

Papers! You have no authorization for this activity! …

It is the parable of a frog in hot water. Ten years ago, if the feds had stood up and enacted or admitted all these things at once – NSA spying, government controls on travel, fast ‘n furious, letting Muslims kill ambassadors, infringements and attacks on the entire Bill of Rights, etc. we would have marched on DC and demanded accountability, prosecution, and removal from office. That is not just from the Executive Branch but many from Congress too. But gradually, we have watched our freedoms and liberties eroded. It is sickening.

And yes, I believe there is a huge political element to this – not just a primal lust for power and control. If former President Bush had done half the things Obama has done the liberals and MSM’s heads would’ve exploded. Plus the Establishment Republicans would have joined the Democrats in their desire to impeach Him.

Unfortunately Obama is from Kenya, So our Establishment Republicans are worried about being labeled as racist. So the result is they are more willing to join the left in attacking conservatives and the American people who overwhelmingly agree with them.

An open comment to any and all security, police, and military personnel:

You are going to have some very hard choices to make in the coming weeks and months. .Please do some serious soul-searching before you mindlessly obey the orders to take the side of this tyrannical government over that of the American people.

We need you and you need us. . Neither of us need these leftist politicians that are running our government. . Do not let them use you to destroy our freedom. . You will know the time has come to make a choice when you get orders to arrest American citizens for exercising their constitutional rights.

Will you blindly obey and start rounding people up? . Or will you stand for Freedom?

  3. Chris says:

Tina: “According to one Park Ranger charged with carrying out the Presidents National Parks closure edict, the President ordered them to “make life as difficult for people as we can.””

An unnamed park ranger who claims to have received orders directly from the president and gives no evidence that this order ever happened. Quoted by a journalist who was fired from a newspaper in 1978 under suspicion of fabricating quotes. Who has written blatantly racist (seriously, look it up; I don’t make that accusation lightly) things about our president, and whose father was a segregationist Democrat.

    Sounds legit!

  4. Gate says:

Chris, do you claim the reporting on this Yellowstone story is fabricated?

I ask, because that is what you should be responding to. Not a quote that someone may or not have made about his orders from the Obama administration.

Do you consider what happened to these tourists to be normal behavior by a government that claims to care so much about the citizens it has taken over 1/6 of The American economy to force them into a nationalized health care system.

To me it sounds more like a government that is being run by a megalomaniac bent on destroying anything and anyone who stands in his way of doing anything and everything he so pleases to do.

I also believe that Obama is doing his best to force someone to start shooting. Then his thugs will have a reason to use the almost 2 billion plus rounds of ammunition they have been storing up for non military agencies in the last few years.

  5. Princess says:

This doesn’t make any sense. There are pictures of the El Capitan climbers on Reddit and Yosemite rangers are saying those guys have three days to do their climb. The parks have very little staff right now. Most of our National Parks are in red districts so conservatives are going to feel the pinch more than other parts of the country because the economies in these areas usually depend a lot on park tourism. This is really pinching the parks that have autumn leaf tourists.

  6. Libby says:

I’ve spoken to you before about presenting editorials as news.

And this one is particularly … inaccurate … shamefully mischaracterizing that poor delusional woman killed by the Capital Cops.

They might want to strike Wesley from their roster, lest “emeritus” come to mean “doddering”.

  7. Libby says:

“Chris, do you claim the reporting on this Yellowstone story is fabricated?”

Aspects of it are certainly fishy. Two and a half hours to get out of the park? I just checked Wiki and the park is approximately 60×50 miles. Very fishy.

Can’t you find me any tales of distress and travail that aren’t so flagrantly partisan. It would help make your point.

  8. Gate says:

Libby, obviously you have never been there before or else you would not ask such a stupid question.

My ancestors were homesteaders in the area. My grandmother and grandfather even discovered a couple of the geysers on the tour route. My grandfather helped build portions of the Old Faithful Inn.

I would suggest you take a trip to Yellowstone and get enlightened.

  9. Tina says:

Freeways, Gate, Libby is used to freeways.

  10. Tina says:

Libby, “I’ve spoken to you before”

    Whoop-dee doo!

Authoritarians are such a pain in the butt.

Chris: “(seriously, look it up; I don’t make that accusation lightly”

Sure you do…all the time! You’ve done it right here on this blog.

  11. Chris says:

Gate: “Chris, do you claim the reporting on this Yellowstone story is fabricated?”

I am not making that claim, since unlike you, Tina, and the writer of the article Tina cited, I don’t make claims without providing evidence.

I am pointing out that readers (and bloggers) would do well to take the author’s claims with a grain of salt, since he has been fired for fabricating quotes before. And even if the quote is accurately attributed, there has been no evidence presented that the information contained in it is true. It certainly doesn’t pass a rational person’s smell test; the White House doesn’t usually give direct orders to park rangers, especially orders as damning as “make life as difficult for people as we can,” which any park ranger could then report to the media.

But you still think that a) Obama was born in Kenya, b) that he “let” Muslims kill ambassadors (more ambassadors were killed under both Bush and Reagan, separately) c) that Obamacare is a “nationalized healthcare system,” d) that Obama is trying to get people to “start shooting,” and e) that the government is stockpiling ammo in order to shoot citizens. Every single one of these beliefs is not just wrong, but stupidly, horribly wrong, but since when has that ever mattered to you? You’ve admitted to me on your site that you believe it is acceptable to lie about your opponents in order to advance your agenda, so who knows if you actually even *believe* any of the ridiculous things you’re saying.

  12. Chris says:

    Tina: “Whoop-dee doo!

Authoritarians are such a pain in the butt.”

Jesus, woman, it’s called *advice.* And it’s pretty damn good advice. You are (once again) taking an unsourced, irrational and unrealistic claim and presenting it as if it is fact. You are getting angry and calling the president a “dictator” over something that is most likely not true. That is dumb. Pointing out how dumb that is does not make other people “dictators.” And you choosing to call people that when they point out your own dumb behavior really just makes you look even worse.

“Sure you do…all the time! You’ve done it right here on this blog.”

Again, I do not make the accusation lightly, I make it when it is warranted. It is not my fault you keep choosing to cite people who say blatantly, unequivocally racist things. You have even cited self-identified white supremacists without a hint of shame. When Libby and I tell you you should probably stop doing that, we are not being “authoritarians.” We are trying to help you. You could easily stop doing that, at any time, and then you wouldn’t have to put up with us asking you to stop anymore. But if you keep citing racists, we will keep pointing that out.

Here’s the quote from the author of the article you cited that I was referring to:

“It’s no fault of the president that he has no natural instinct or blood impulse for what the America of “the 57 states” is about. He was sired by a Kenyan father, born to a mother attracted to men of the Third World and reared by grandparents in Hawaii, a paradise far from the American mainstream.”

Making the issue one of Obama’s “blood” and saying he was “sired,” not fathered–as if he is an animal–is racist. Now, knowing your history of defending basically any racial slur, no matter how obvious, as long as it is uttered by a Republican, you probably will attempt to argue otherwise. But really–what is the point? If you don’t see how this is racist, it’s because you’re willing yourself not to.

  13. Peggy says:

Hey Libby, did you look up Yosemite instead of Yellowstone? I’ve been there a couple of times and believe me it’s BIG.

    From Wikipedia:

“Yellowstone National Park spans an area of 3,468.4 square miles (8,983 km2),…Approximately 96 percent of the land area of Yellowstone National Park is located within the state of Wyoming. Another three percent is within Montana, with the remaining one percent in Idaho. The park is 63 miles (101 km) north to south, and 54 miles (87 km) west to east by air. Yellowstone is 2,219,789 acres (898,317 ha; 3,468.420 sq mi)[1] in area, larger than the states of Rhode Island or Delaware.”

It’s early still, have another glass of whatever you’ll regret it in the morning.

  14. Tina says:

Chris: “Quoted by a journalist who was fired from a newspaper in 1978 under suspicion of fabricating quotes. Who has written blatantly racist (seriously, look it up; I don’t make that accusation lightly) things about our president, and whose father was a segregationist Democrat.”

You make an accusation without citing the source of the information or evidence of any kind.

You then command me (and by association our readers) to “look it up”.

Like I said, “Authoritarians are such a pain in the butt!”

“It certainly doesn’t pass a rational person’s smell test; the White House doesn’t usually give direct orders to park rangers…”

The smell test is all around you in the way American citizens, visitors to our country, veterans, fishermen, businessmen, vacationers…are being treated!

The Park Service is an agency of the Department of the Interior. The Department is administered by the United States Secretary of the Interior, who is a member of the Cabinet of the President.

Of course the President could issue such an order. Cabinet members serve at the pleasure of the President.

It would also absolutely be in character for the President to issue such an order. This is a man that uses street language in dealing with members of the opposition party in Congress. A man who tells his constituents, “If they bring a knife we bring a gun”. A man that threatens arrest of veterans as they refuse to be barred from an open monument to their fallen brothers and sisters that they traveled miles to see. Ugly business!

“Sired” is now a racist word? And “blood”? Would it still be racist if he was Chinese? “No natural instincts about being American” was the point driven home by truthful, albeit irreverent sounding, words.

It’s not like the President hasn’t said similarly irreverent and sometimes bigoted things about the Tea Party, people who read the Bible, people who own guns, and many of his opponents.

“If you don’t see how this is racist, it’s because you’re willing yourself not to.”

I think you’ve been propagandized by people who can’t think outside of the racial context and who have zero tolerance for anyone who doesn’t tow the line. Talk about willing yourself…you walk the line like a good little soldier seeing a racist in every comment you find disagreeable. Obama is just a man, subject to the same criticisms, objections, speculation, and doubts about his character. He is also a secretive man which only fuels those who are suspicious.

So…we’ve both expressed an opinion about each other…what IS the point!

  15. Pie Guevara says:

There is only one thing as ugly as racism, and that is the false charge of racism.

  16. Pie Guevara says:

    Re #1 Gate :

    Brilliant!

  17. Pie Guevara says:

Evidently Chris’ panic over Obamacare is driving him to make an ass of himself.

  18. Tina says:

Chris: “(more ambassadors were killed under both Bush and Reagan, separately)”

Not because of incompetence, neglect, and dereliction of duty, however.

Benghazi is a scandal that rivals Watergate and would be acknowledged as such if not for the slavish, sycophant media covering for the worst administration the nation has seen in modern times..

  19. Libby says:

“The park is 63 miles (101 km) north to south, and 54 miles (87 km) west to east by air.”

This is not approximately 50×60 miles?

Even a windy road over 60 miles is not going to take you 2 1/2 hours to drive, is it? And you wouldn’t be driving the length, would you?

    Still fishy.

  20. Chris says:

Tina: “You make an accusation without citing the source of the information or evidence of any kind.”

Yes, but unlike the accusation made in the article you cited, mine is actually verifiable with a quick Google search. You could easily find out if what I said was true, but we have no way of knowing if this writer’s anonymous park ranger source even exists. And given his past troubles with journalistic integrity, plus the unlikely nature of the story, there is plenty of reason to doubt him.

“You then command me (and by association our readers) to “look it up”.”

It’s not a “command!” Where do you get this stuff? I can’t force you to verify the credibility of your sources. That was something you were supposed to have learned in high school.

“The smell test is all around you in the way American citizens, visitors to our country, veterans, fishermen, businessmen, vacationers…are being treated!”

That sentence doesn’t even make sense. Do you know what a smell test is?

“The Park Service is an agency of the Department of the Interior. The Department is administered by the United States Secretary of the Interior, who is a member of the Cabinet of the President.”

Yes, and how does that contradict my assertion that park rangers don’t usually get orders straight from the president?

“It would also absolutely be in character for the President to issue such an order.”

It’s in character for the caricature your movement has created through hundreds of false, misleading and unsourced stories like the one you just cited. If this is how you get your information, you have no rational basis for examining the man’s character. Your entire perception of him is based on a mountain of bullshit.

“This is a man that uses street language in dealing with members of the opposition party in Congress. A man who tells his constituents, “If they bring a knife we bring a gun”.”

You support politicians who have used similar language, and you have in fact defended specific statements that are just as bad, so please don’t pretend you object to that kind of language based on the merits rather than based on the person saying it.

“A man that threatens arrest of veterans as they refuse to be barred from an open monument”

Again, YOU HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING IF THIS IS EVEN TRUE.

““Sired” is now a racist word? And “blood”?”

When used in the context of portraying someone as a scary foreign other, then yes! Political ideologies are not transferred through “blood.” If they were, I’d have even more reason to call Pruden a racist; his own father was the president of the White Citizens’ Council. But I’m not the one saying Pruden can’t possible think like us Good Non-Racist Americans because he was “sired” by a racist father, as if he were a damn horse. There’s also the dig at Obama’s mother for allegedly being attracted to “men of the third world.” This isn’t even a dog-whistle anymore, it’s a big honking siren saying “Ooga booga! Scary black men and the women who love them!”

“Would it still be racist if he was Chinese?”

…I can’t imagine anyone typing out that question and actually thinking it’s a good one.

“It’s not like the President hasn’t said similarly irreverent and sometimes bigoted things about the Tea Party, people who read the Bible, people who own guns, and many of his opponents.”

None of those are races, they are chosen identities, so there’s no comparison. Obama has never said that anyone is incapable of thinking a certain way because of their bloodline or ethnicity.

  21. Chris says:

Tina: “Not because of incompetence, neglect, and dereliction of duty, however.”

Right, of course! When four Americans are killed at an embassy during Obama’s tenure, it’s because of “incompetence, neglect, and dereliction of duty.” When over 300 Americans are killed at multiple embassies during Reagan’s tenure, it’s just because…um…Reagan loved America too much?

One of Reagan’s closest aides did think he bore some responsibility for embassy deaths:

“A former defense secretary for Ronald Reagansays he implored the president to put Marines serving in Beirut in a safer position before terrorists attacked them in 1983, killing 241 servicemen.

“I was not persuasive enough to persuade the president that the Marines were there on an impossible mission,” Caspar Weinberger says in an oral history project capturing the views of former Reagan administration officials…

…But he said one of his greatest regrets was in failing to overcome the arguments that “‘Marines don’t cut and run,’ and ‘We can’t leave because we’re there”‘ before the devastating suicide attack on the lightly armed force.

“They had no mission but to sit at the airport, which is just like sitting in a bull’s-eye,” Weinberger said. “I begged the president at least to pull them back and put them back on their transports as a more defensible position.””

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/2006/01/30/aide-reagan-left-marines-vulnerable-in-beirut/

William Safire, a conservative columnist, was much harder on Reagan’s “blunders,” and said the incident in Lebanon was “Reagan’s Bay of Pigs:”

    http://www.nytimes.com/1984/02/27/opinion/essay-reagan-s-bay-of-pigs.html

The point is not to bash Reagan. The point is to show the gigantic double standard conservatives are holding Obama to.

“Benghazi is a scandal that rivals Watergate”

That’s just freaking nuts. Watergate was an orchestrated maneuver, a conspiracy perpetrated by the president. Benghazi was a tragedy that might have been avoided if the administration had provided more security. There was no “scandal.”

  22. dbueno says:

    Benghaziiiiii! over and over……

CIA was walking guns to the rebels, The CIA and FBI watered down the press release to hide this. There were CIA operatives on the ground in Benghazi. This was classified.

it is all leaked. There were no boogy men just the CIA again.

Ya know tea party wanted the Gov shutdown? Ok they got it. They do not get to go around complaining about things being shutdown. They do not get to pick and choose what they like.

Corporate rule will be slavery not freedom, China is who they tell us to compete with? A communist country?

The TPP is the issue that Tea Party should care about but not a peep! Why because corps win humans loose.
