Terrorist Alert Update

FBI thinks attacks may be imminent. ISIS terrorist plot involves attacking subways and any target of opportunity. Law enforcement asked to be vigilant, lookout for lone wolf attacks.

This is not to make anyone nervous or fearful, but prudent people should always have good situational awareness, right? It’s just smart, like when you are driving your car. You should always be alert to possible dangers and this situation is no different. Now I realize you are not trained in counter terrorism, but if you happen to come upon some guy wearing a turban and a nightshirt, and he’s trying on a homemade canvas vest laced with black and red wires going into what looks like road flares and he’s softly chanting, “Death to infidels”, hey, it could be a clue of something…or not. The point being, just try to stay heads up bunky and don’t be your usual oblivious self. Regular post scripts readers are excluded, because you guys are always alert… we know that.

Libby, this is where you chime in and tell us what extreme, bigoted, hateful, paranoid, groveling right-wing fools we are, how we’re always trying to stir up trouble with gentle, peace loving ISIS and Al Qaeda members and then you blame us for this security alert as announced on all the major networks.

  1. Libby says:

Dude … do remember where you are. There’s nothing for you to panic about.

It’s me who rides the terror target to work every day. I will deal with it. (Thank goodness you don’t have to … cause you plainly couldn’t.)

  2. Harold says:

“Dude … do remember where you are. There’s nothing for you to panic about.”

Sure Libby as long as you’re not in Oklahoma, wait a minute that is American soil as well……

  3. Tina says:

Narcisistically speaking, it is hilarious that Libs lectures Jack on situational awareness and “dealing” with potential danger…or could be the dubes?

  4. Dewey says:

Well start digging your bunker boyz! We’ll let ya know how it goes in a few years when we open the hatch!

The last place I would get terror alerts is Fox news.

  5. Tina says:

Good for you. Please never ever watch fox News Dewey…ever.

Meanwhile, the faithful might find good information over here.

Some people make assumptions that are just wrong!

  6. Chris says:

Jack, this threat was debunked only hours after it was first reported.

“Dewey, you’re position on Fox is way too extreme and you never did tell me exactly what lies they are supposed to be guilty of?”

Dewey didn’t, but I did, and you never responded. Tina tried to debunk three out of the 18 instances of FOX lying that I linked to, but failed to provide any evidence that actually backed up the claims.

  7. Libby says:

“Dewey, you’re position on Fox is way too extreme and you never did tell me exactly what lies they are supposed to be guilty of.”

Well, how about the conflating of workplace carnage into a terrorist threat?

The murdering of co-workers by an enraged former co-worker … is … the murdering of co-workers by an enraged former co-worker. The enraged guy’s methodology is actually … and truly … dictated by the (Lord Help Us All) popular culture … and kinda beside the point.

This is really going to stretch you … the powers have yet to say … but was he sacked for proselytizing Islam? Now, the proselytizing of whatsoever in the workplace is forbidden. Was he warned before he was sacked.

They still are not saying … and this is pertinent.

    • Post Scripts says:

Libby, we’re not conflating anything. I posted a news story that merely asked the question was this an ISIS inspired attack or work place violence? That’s not conflating.

  8. Tina says:

There’s nothing a nation needs more than clarity from it’s leadership. A good leader provides both clarity and confidence in his ability to respond to threats made against our nation. It seems to be with this bunch we get nothing but chaos, confusion, and uncertainty. First al Qaeda is defeated and ISIS is a JV team and now…”good news. Obama defeated Al Qaeda. Now Al Qaeda is besieging Baghdad.”

Are we in danger of lone wolf attacks as the President himself has said or is it possible that larger, more coordinated attacks could be planned by cells living right here in America? Our stumbling, bumbling VP Biden warned just such a threat was “credible” just before the 911 anniversary. The authorities even named the particular leader involved in the “car bomb” threat Biden was talking about:

Officials suspect that al-Qaida’s new leader, Ayman al-Zawahri, was involved in planning the latest attack threat.

Maybe the question is, are we or are we not supposed to recognize that the president has placed all of us in grave danger…it would seem they can’t decide.

They can’t decide because they are more concerned with image and politics than they are with leading the nation or defeating the enemy.

What was that quote from Dewey…oh yeah, he quoted the Pope:

    Pope Francis ‏@Pontifex Sep 27

There is the tendency to place ourselves and our ambitions at the center of our lives. This is very human, but it is not Christian.

So what I get from all of this is the lackadaisical manner in which the President “rules” and assumes his Commander-in-Chief duties. Two more years of this, guys. Pray!
