Daily Caller Unmasks Bigoted Media Matters Exec

Posted by Tina

Thanks to Peggy I was reminded tonight of a story that broke a few days ago. It reveals the truly ugly and deceptive tactics that radical progressives like Angelo Corusone use to destroy political opinion rivals.

After years of smearing conservatives we learn that at least one of the most prominent activists at the George Soros funded Media Matters is himself a terrible bigot and most likely a dedicated bully. Daily Caller has the story:

A top executive at Media Matters for America and the principal activist in the “Stop Rush” campaign made racist and anti-Semitic comments and disparaged “trannies” on a dormant blog that he wrote just several years prior to his prominent liberal activism career.

Blog entries reviewed by The Daily Caller show that Angelo Carusone made derogatory remarks about ethnic groups and used language to insult “trannies” and ugly “gays” that would be considered hate speech by his own organization.

Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Donald Trump, Roger Ailes and Fox News are among those that this group has targeted with bullying tactics. Mediaite discloses some of the offensive things Corusone, the man who launched, “Stop Rush ” and “Dump Trump,” posted on a blog:

Carusone refers to his boyfriend’s “jewry”; he says that gay men on Long Island are “ugly”; and, perhaps most objectionable, he rants about a Bangladeshi “tranny lover.”

The man is deceitful and up to no good, as are his radical associates.

I agree that Carusone’s comments are bigoted, and Media Matters needs to either let him go or have him make some kind of apology.

I’m surprised to find that you find his comments bigoted, however, given that this type of language is common among right-wing commentators. Rush has used the term “trannie” in a derogatory fashion before, as have many FOX News correspondents. They’ve also all commented on the unattractiveness of gays, and have made racial generalizations similar to the “Bangladeshi” crack.

It’s important to call out people on any side of the aisle when they make bigoted statements. Usually Media Matters does a better job of this; I am surprised they haven’t even made a statement yet.

Chris this language and attitude is not “common” for any right wing show I have listened to for nearly thirty years, including Rush’s. You have been taken in by a deceitful, underhanded campaign to “stop Rush”…who are these people, the Stazi?

I posted this to point out the hypocrisy in their little game. But the hypocrisy doesn’t end with this one person. Obama used the race card against Hillary. The left made all kinds of really ugly statements about, and created horrible images of Condi Rice without a breath of blow back. What the left did to Sarah Palin was disgraceful…you all thought it was hilarious. You all make me sick.

“It’s important to call out people on any side of the aisle when they make bigoted statements.”

I preferred it when people had the good manners to keep such thoughts to themselves.

But the left did away with manners, common sense, and real tolerance of others long ago. If you’re going to share all of your private business, if you are going to try to force acceptance without displaying the same for others, and if you are going to make fun of people with manners, as the hard left has done for at least forty years, you should expect to eventually be given some blow back.

Media Matters is not engaged frank discussion about issues. They exist to destroy the political opposition. They exist to silence opposing views.

“Calling people out” is a game people play today. It’s just part of the same old leftist Alinsky game. Perhaps that is why MM hasn’t said a word.

This is the world that’s created when one group of people decide that manners are in the way. It’s what you get when a radical group bullies their way to prominence and leadership. This is the inevitable reaction when tolerance is one sided and language is managed.

America once had a strong moral ethic. there was a beautiful balance between free speech and comporting oneself with dignity in public. The radical communist destroyers of the sixties and seventies have systematically destroyed that model and replaced it with this PC BS (Absurdly, it didn’t apply to them until right wing radio came along and began to peel back the veil to expose the hypocrisy).

Your own holier than thou determination to call out anyone on either side doesn’t impress in this atmosphere, especially when you have been willing to pile on yourself.

A party that embraces bullying to win, that seeks to destroy an opponent rather than compete for the job, that uses mobs to push an agenda is a party I could never embrace or defend. Any candidate or talker is capable of blunder or insensitivity but a pattern of underhanded behavior repeated again and again suggests something much more sinister and disturbing. That is the current Democrat Party and it is how many of the support groups operate regularly.

FYI – This documentary is showing at Chico’s Tensile Town theater.

I saw that advertised at the theater on Friday…thanks for letting our readers know about it.

Tina: “Chris this language and attitude is not “common” for any right wing show I have listened to for nearly thirty years, including Rush’s.”

You are incorrect. Again, Rush commonly refers to transgender individuals as “trannies,” and has also referred to sex change operations with charming terms like “addadicktome” and “chopadickoffofme:”

So I’m afraid I am unclear on your position here. Do you really believe that the term “tranny” is bigoted and uncivil, or were you merely pretending to believe that in order to bash a liberal?
