Thanksgiving Approaches – Be Thankful

by Jack

As Thanksgiving approaches I hope all of us will find something in our lives to be thankful for. If you have good health, be thankful, because so many don’t. If you have a car or a bike, a house, a heater and a few appliances, be thankful, 2/3rds of the world lives in abject poverty without electricity. If you have good children, be thankful because 2.4 million of our sons and daughters will wind up in prison. If you have a roof over your head and a clean bed to sleep in, be thankful, because 634000 for one reason or another have no home. And if you still need another reason to be thankful, be thankful you’re not a baby emperor penguin: Until it can find its own food, an emperor penguin chick is fed about 185 pounds of regurgitated seafood. Now go forth and be grateful for something!!!

See the largest flag in the world go up in a small thankful town in Wisconsin, dedicated to those who gave their lives in service to their country.
